My whole Eye appointment with Pennensula eye care, went really well. Very smooth and very efficient. From the front desk, to the technicians and then Dr Julie Madani-Becker, whom by the way, is amazing! She was personable, friendly, very intelligent (in my opinion) and makes me feel like I am in good hands with her for my up coming cataract surgery! Amazing staff! Thank you. Kimberly Allen

Had my first appointment with Dr. Kim and it was a very good experience. She is very nice and answered all of my questions. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The optical department has a great selection of eyeglasses to choose from and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Extremely upset with this office. Have been calling since Monday and cannot seem to get through, it is now Friday. Somebody called me back but did not leave message. When I called billing and explained the situation Valerie seemed awfully confused, very clear she was not paying attention. When I tried explaining my situation again she kept talking over me.

She began to explain information that I did not need. When I would begin to explain again she kept repeating herself, cutting me off and acting as if I was the one not listening to her. I became frustrated and returned her attitude because she continued to cut me off and tell me she did not know the price of contacts. At this point I understood that it was not her job and only the doctors know the price of contacts.

All I needed was to order a pair of contacts, wanted to know the price and how long it would take. Valerie explained that's not her job and that the doctor will handle the pricing. Which is interesting because the doctor told me billing handles those questions. Every time I have had any interaction with this office it appears that none of them want to answer questions unless it is "their job". Valerie talked over me the entire time and became defensive as I became frustrated because I could not get my question out.

Perhaps more training would be recommended because your front of the house leaves much to be desired but your doctors are amazing! Yes, I gave her attitude which I apologize for but I have never experience that kind of treatment over a question. If you do not like being helpful perhaps answering phones is not your calling, you must hear a patient's full question before you give them an answer, instead of repeating your answer over and over as if your client is not smart enough to understand. Would like my prescription emailed as my experience with Valerie will be my last interaction with your office.

First Visit in this office was a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and Dr Kim was super nice, very friendly, explained everything step by step and reassured me that I don't need cataract surgery as of now where the previous dr was ready to do surgery right away. Always a great idea to get a second opinion when it come to surgery, the knife should always be the last resort and dr Kim reassured me of that. Thanks Dr Kim.

This place sucks it's seriously the worst service very unaccommodating and they mark up the prices on all of their glasses. Take your business elsewhere seriously these people are a pain.

Amazing customer service and support! They made me feel at home, treated with respect and explained everything very thoroughly. Highly recommend, Dr. Kim and Liz in optical were fantastic! Thank you.

Dr Kim is the best! Friendly, helpful, and kind. I highly recommend her. Staff is also very kind and pleasant. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and waited not even 5 minutes before I was called in.

I was greeted by the receptionist when I came up to the window. All of the employees showed a great concern for my appointment. I was greeted and acknowledged by Dr Becker prior to my visit in the hallway. I felt like I was important and that everyone there were happy employees. What a great feeling. After my exam Dr Beckers assistants explained my results throughly. Dr Becker was considerate and professional.

My visit was an annual checkup with Dr. Miller. As usual there was essentially no waiting. I was greeted kindly by the front desk staff, assured my lateness didn't ruin the day. Staff assessed my general vision and updated the prescription for new lenses due to changes in vision. I was provided the presicription to fill (I'll be using COSTCO, great price and service).

I saw Dr. Miller who looked at the health of the eye. Dr. M is warm & kind, he is thorough, and current with his knowledge & recommendations. I trust Dr Miller's recommendations when offered. Finally, having been his patient since the early '80's, I know of his generous nature traving to share his time and talent to bring the gift of sight to so many.

Really great experience, staff is really friendly and helpful. Great communication, they were very detailed with my exam. The location is super clean. Dr. Kim is really good at explaining everything. I was really really pleased.

What a great experience. The waiting room is very comfortable even though I didn't have to wait too long. All of the staff are friendly and courteous. Dr. Kim is very thorough and I recommend everybody to go visit them for your vision needs.

My family's been using Dr Miller and peninsula eye center for a long time. I haven't had my eyes checked in a long time, I was long overdue so of course I chose Dr Miller just like my family does. The office staff was friendly, Matt, who did the initial testing and dilation of my eyes was really good, and of course Dr Miller was terrific too. I highly recommend

The staff and the doctor were very nice. The place was very spacious and clean. The doctor really helped me for what I came in for. I really recommend this place.

My visit with Dr. K. Miller was excellent. He always takes his time to explain different conditions and alternatives in a very easy way for patients to understand, and make decisions. I trust him 100 percent.

Dr Becker is a consummate professional and an expert in her field. I have been a patient of Peninsula Eye Care for many years and would highly recommend her and her team to all my family and friends.

This eye care facility is excellent in every way: top quality care from doctors and staff that take the time to help in a caring manner. The optical dept is also wonderful. Glasses purchased here can be adjusted any time for free. I highly recommend!

I was very pleased with the outcome of my visit. I have to admit I was surprised of the results of my eyesight. I was expecting to hear results of surgery, but instead I had better results than I thought possible. So thank you for the good news. Everyone in the office has been very nice. Continue with what you are doing and making everyone feel welcome!

They totally screwed up my eye exam it is obsolete and inaccurate I have to have it completely redone another place and they dilated my eyes so severely I was literally blind I couldn't drive if I wanted I was stranded and I could not even see my phone screen to call for help. I was really no joke nearly blinded. Worst experience I've ever had at an optometrist and it was pointless because the results from my testing were completely inaccurate. such unprofessional people working for this place.

I cannot recommend anyone if you have medi/medi insurance I would opt to pay instead at a better optometrist because this place was a total joke and I was upset leaving and upset still with how I was treated. They did not even finish my exam and never even told me I'd have to come back to get contacts as well and also I wasn't even able to pick out frames because the exam took like 2 hours and by the time I was done they had been closed for a bit and the frame room was locked up. when I called to set up this contact appointment they said they'd call me back and never did and were the rudest people when I called again to schedule after waiting 3 weeks with no return phone call, which I never understood why I couldn't just schedule.

I have no idea how these people are in business my exam was useless to me and I purchased glasses only to see how bad it was I was so drastically wrongly prescribed and now I'm having to send back the glasses I bought with the prescription they gave me so that I can actually see. I have to get a whole new eye exam all over again. so my entire time there was 100% waste of my time and breath that I can't get back and it really wasn't pleasant either.

I've been a patient at this place for thirty years and I am still grateful. They do a thorough job on checking my eyes and checked in my overall health. I have and will continue to recommend peninsula eye care. Dr Kim is a fantastic doctor. She explained everything she was doing and what would come next. She has a soothing and caring voice. Can I just say how much I love all the staff here? Everyone was so friendly and even with the mask on they made sure to smile and you could tell. In the optical department they have always been so patient and helpful with picking out glasses. I felt a little nervous and guilty trying on so many glasses bc with the new covid guidelines they have to clean each pair touched but they were so nice about it!

On a different occasion a few months ago I had to bring my 2 year old daughter here for an eye injury and every single person there made her feel comfortable and made it a good experience for the both of us!

The general office staff is very professional and friendly. There is one woman who is extremely rude and unprofessional in the optical department. Not only did she NOT get out of her chair to assist me and my daughter with our frame selection, she also, was very short when I had questions. If I asked her what she thought of this frame or that frame, she would answer, "I'm not wearing them".

When I went to pick up my glasses.5 minutes after she called and said they were ready, suddenly, they can't be found while she was up assisting another patient with her frame selection. Wondering if it was because it was an Asian patient, like herself.as opposed to assisting this Black woman. If it wasn't for the wonderful physicians and frame choices, I wouldn't go at all. I would've given zero stars if she was the only one I was reviewing. I'd fire her myself

Absolutely the worst eye exam ever in my life. Came in for reading glasses and they set the focal point 6 inches in front of my face. They said that was based on the answers I gave the technician. Interesting because I purchase 175 magnification off the shelf in the store and they selected 250 magnification. Absolutely no help from this Clinic just took my money and that's it.

Great service, always. They are unfailingly kind to both myself and my daughter, as well as knowledgeable and helpful. My daughter wanted contacts at age 10 because of sports (and vanity) and they worked with her patiently until she could get her contacts in and out comfortably. The service team at the front desk knows everything about insurance and helped me figure out how to get the best deal and coverage. Highly recommend!

I have an active daughter with an always changing prescription. Melinda, the optometrist technician is great! I can't say enough good things about her. I had glasses replaced once and repaired once in a period of 4 months. She's always pleasant, she provided me with accurate information and thanks to her I got the right glasses with the right warranty so I don't have to pay every time accidents happen. no wait, no tricks. I'm super happy to have this place in San Pedro.

Amazing place and staff! I have a 10 year old son who is rough on his glasses, on two occasions we've had to go in for repairs and come out with his glasses either completely repaired or replaced (because the damage was under warranty). They are friendly and super helpful. The waiting room is dark and dungeons, but that's the only negative I have to report.

Optometrist are very good here ~ but do not get your glasses here very expensive! I was quoted over $1000 for my glasses with progressive lenses and transitional lenses. Ok I couldn't use my insurance but they did give me a discount which brought my glasses down to over $800 still. I asked if I could get my glasses by the following Friday and the girl assured me I could (I ordered on a Friday that was one week).

When I called to check I was told, they would check but if is not in shipment I would have to wait until Monday. It's now Tuesday and they told me they would probably have by next Monday. That's over two weeks, I usually just take my prescription and go to LensCrafters or Costco ~ because it's cheaper and I get my frames faster. So upset!

I was told there is nothing they could do. I would NEVER order glasses from optical Dept again from here! Consumer beware and read other Yelp reviews before you purchase glasses from here!

Professional staff. Nice and friendly. What More could you ask for. My last eye dr staff was rude, short and not willing to be flexible. Googled this place and no the whole family are patients.
