I have never met a staff of nicer, more humane, and more professional people than these. From the receptionist, DD (Dana), to Nurse Breighlan, to Dr. Jefferson, I found amazing care. This is beyond customer service. This is "from-the-heart" care. Stumbled upon them by internet and soon realized it wasn't an accidental meeting. I was supposed to go there.

They did everything compassionately and professionally. They handled my animal bite and got me on my way. The doctor even answered other unrelated questions I had and gave great advice. If you have a med situation, you need to go to this place.

Staff very professional but I was concerned that the radiology tech. (really great) got my history, meds., reason for visit etc. No complete set of vs. The physician was very professional. I think they don't have enough staff, having a few people doing a lot of work. This is the first time I have been to this urgent care and although everyone was very nice, I will return to Ingalls Urgent Care in Flossmoor, IL.

I hurt my arm pretty bad. I couldn't straighten it and would grimace and shake in pain from it. They all saw this. They refused to write me a prescription for painkillers because the X-ray showed that it was negative. But the doctor said she didn't think I was lying about the arm pain and that it was possible that it could take up to a week to see a fracture on the X-ray. Great. So, why not prescribe me pain pills.

I called them up asking for this. They told me to go to the ER if I was in terrible pain and get the prescription there. I was in disbelief. Update: I went to a bone doctor a week later, and he detected a fracture on my radial bone with the same x-rays taken here.

Really good place. Doctor Jefferson is awesome and another doc treated me as well and she was great too. The 4 times I've been there, the wait was 5-10 minutes. Not sure why some of the other reviews are lower to be honest. Everyone there is really nice and wanting to help.

This place it terrible! I was misdiagnosed in July, they said it was a upper respiratory infection. But it was pnumonia! Went back for a sore eye, I waited for over a hour! They won't keep you updated on time. There is only one doctor. The nurses are rude. They ask you questions then you sit in the room. Wait and wait. You would think on a weekend when doctors are closed they would have at least 3 doctors on staff. I do not recommend this place at all! I will go to a place where I know were a doctor is available.

We had an extended visit in the area and had to go in for ear infections multiple times. We received good care and the wait times were generally acceptable. However, the bills came without envelopes and there was no way to pay online. The statement is such that you need to return the entire portion so there is no copy for you to keep unless you make your own. It's unprofessional and aggravating.

I called to make sure they would take my insurance to see my daughter when she was sick and on the phone they told me yes. When I got to the office they told me they don't and that she can still see a doctor but I would have to pay $100 and then I would be sent a bill as well. I will never go back there. The whole trip was a big waste of my time and the lady at the desk wasn't helpful at all. She was completely rude.

The care I received there on January 28th was offensive. I was torn about posting a review but decided that I would be doing a disservice to both Prompt Care and FUture patients if I did not. My 9 year old daughter was very sick. We spent the day at Starved Rock and when I realized that she was going downhill quickly, I hurried her to Prompt Care and arrived 15 minutes before closing.

It was still during open hours, but the receptionists barely greeted me, and then the nurse was exponentially worse. She came into the exam room with an attitude. Asked what was wrong and when I started answering, she said she wanted my daughter to answer. My daughter had just woken up from a 1 1/2 hour car ride, felt horrible and was intimidated by the nurse. So, she didn't feel comfortable answering.

I tried to coax her into answering and she, being a 9 year old sick child, responded with a grunt and exacerbated sigh. She did this one other time and I told the nurse in a joking tone that "this is just 9. Can't wait to see what the future holds." The nurse then responded in a very harsh tone with "In THIS ROOM we RESPECT our parents." She acted as though she had never seen a sick child have an emotional attitude.

She didn't once make my daughter feel comfortable, not even an attempt at a smile, and then expected positive communication from her? So, the nurse sent the doctor in. There was nobody else in the clinic, but it still took 10 minutes before the doctor entered the room. The doctor was very solemn and didn't treat my daughter warmly at all. She had clearly been prepped by the nurse (with inappropriate assessment).

She asked what was wrong and when I started to answer, she stood between my daughter and myself so my daughter couldn't see me and said "no, you answer to me" to my daughter. She answered very quietly and was made to feel very uncomfortable. I told the doctor she had been exposed to strep, but the doctor didn't bother to test her. She just sent a prescription to the pharmacy and said she didn't think it was strep.

When I left, they gave me generic paperwork without my daughter's or the doctor's name on it. I never received a follow up call. A few days later, my daughter was still sick and was diagnosed with strep elsewhere. The disrespect we received was unacceptable. I would never treat anyone that way, and would never allow my children to treat anyone that way. DOn't go there.

I have had other friends give the same types of reviews. ON another note, we did go there a month or so earlier and had a gentleman nurse who had been in the military in CA. His care was phenomenal. He knew how to treat children and acted very professionally.

I have been here multiple times for myself and for with family members.some of the doctors are very nice, but my last experience was horrible. We came 30 minutes before closing, the doctor. Dr. Gibson(first time seeing her) had a horrible stank attitude. She barely walked through the door and said "what's wrong" in the most annoyed tone, I was taken back by it.

She needs to know that the patients pay her salary, that's right the patients, so maybe she could muster up some respect for them. If she is so annoyed by sick patients, perhaps she should be working in a non patient setting. I found her to be most unprofessional!

This used to be my go-to place for any last minute medical needs. Have seen the physicians come and go over the years. However, "Dr. Gibson" is the reason I will never go back. She's half way out the door as you're asking a question, makes you feel like an idiot, and does not make it a comfortable experience at all. Oh, and with the reception staff; they can be nice. But, if you fall behind on your bills, they'll be chasing you down immediately with every debt collection agency. However, if you underpay your deductible, they won't call/write until you show up again a year later asking about it. Shows where their priorities are. This isn't the only walk in medical facility in the area. Seek out a better one.
