Services
To make sure there are no delays in care during your first visit experience, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to ensure your registration is complete before meeting with your new provider. In an effort to respect the time of all of patients, our staff strives to stay on schedule so that other patients do not have to wait.
Note: You should always check with your Privia Medical Group provider to verify plan and product coverage as this is not an exhaustive list, and plans change frequently. We encourage patients to keep a credit card on file to make the checkout process easier, faster, and more efficient. You will no longer receive statements from us, but you will continue to receive your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from your insurance carrier once your claim has been processed, detailing the charges and payments made on your behalf.
Premier Primary Care Physicians participates with electronic prescribing directly to your mail order and local pharmacies. Our goal is to assist our patients with prescription requests in an efficient and timely manner. Due to the volume of prescription requests, we have created the following guidelines to help meet these goals.
Avoid douching, using tampons, vaginal medications, or having sexual intercourse within 24 hours prior to the procedure. While some parts of the procedure can be performed on pregnant women, other parts should be avoided during pregnancy. Be extra careful about using contraception and condoms the few weeks prior to your procedure.

I have been coming here since 2007 when I resided in Arlington. Now I drive a little farther to come because of the long-standing tenure with my primary care doctor. The customer service and overall climate in the doctor's office has declined since 2007. Interactions are curt with individuals who take in-take in calls, nursing staff, combined with incredibly long waits sometimes as long as 45 minutes to well over an hour waiting to be see. While my interactions with my primary care doctor are fine, the rest of the practice hasn't been that great.

After our physician left this practice our family decided to try and stay with the practice. After calling to schedule a routine annual physical I was abruptly and rudely informed I was not a patient of theirs and they weren't accepting new ones. So much for that guess they are soo busy they no longer even need to be polite.

I've been a patient here for 6 years and this office has really gone down hill. Long wait times in the waiting room, rude customer service, and they shut off their phones at EXACTLY 3:59 PM. I even was sick this fall and I called around 1pm on Friday afternoon a few days after they diagnosed me complaining that I was having trouble breathing. They told me the doctors were unavailable and would take my name and number. No one ever called me back or checked on me. My recommendation: Go somewhere else.

Dr. Lyles was nice enough, but a $466 charge for a brief virtual appointment - simply to obtain a refill of a daily medication that I've been on for 15+ years - is kind of crazy. She had recorded it as "moderate to severe problem requiring complex medical decision-making" (she must be operating with a very different definition of the word "complex").

I had sought her out after my previous physician in the group demonstrated no regard for HIPAA, so needless to say, I'm done with these folks. Beware of business-first, patient-last group practices!

Recently was referred to this practice, and was really pleased with the new doctor (Dr Engel and her nurse, Fatima.) I did not feel rushed at all - they went through all my questions, were really empathetic and the follow ups were quick/efficient. Thank you for keeping humanity at the core of medicine still!

Strongly do not recommend this practice. They are not in the business of patient care when you are sick - they - only want patients who they can screen for 10 min or less and charge your insurance for a 2 hour "annual" visit. When I saw what they were charging my insurance company I believe it's borderline if not crossing the line for insurance fraud. Their office staff is extremely arrogant and not patient friendly. Making an appt takes nearly an hour.

I move to NoVa last year and was made to feel "lucky" that this practice accepted me as a patient. I went twice- once for my annual and the second time because I was sick. and after the borderline abusive treatment I received I will NEVER be back. Terrible bedside manner by the physician (dr Schmieg and dr benchoff). The nurses and front desk were so mean and condescending- that I'm surprised anyone calls back to make appts.

The entire time in the waiting room I got to hear a completely inappropriate story about a former patient at dr Schmeigs old practice. can you say HIPPA violation? Unbelievably poor management and poor quality of care

Dr. Stanford is the primary care doctor for everyone in my family. I chose the practice for my first born nearly 18 years ago and have been impressed with the knowledgeable, caring service they have consistently provided. I trust every one of the doctors, and nurses but Dr. Stanford's bedside manner suits my personality the best. It is a busy practice for a good reason.

I decided to use Dr. Julia Stanford as my new Primary Care physician. If you are 15 minutes late to your appointment (even due to traffic due to an accident) you are sidelined and told that "she is making time for her patients that made their appointment on time" by her nursing staff. In my case, best case scenario is that it would be another hour until I'd be seen.

This was only my second trip to her office. With Arlington traffic you may want to have a Doctor with a little leniency for their patients. Fortunately there are hundreds of other providers in the area. I will pursue another office after being treated this way.

I just moved to the Arlington area this August, and was looking for a primary care doctor. The entire staff at Premier Primary Care has been so impressive. They were able to get me a sick appointment the same day I called, and I was taken into the doctor's room very quickly. I barely had to wait in the waiting room! Dr. Benchoff was so kind, and took a lot of time to explain every thing to me. The whole staff was so friendly, and really took their time to care for me. I am very happy with my decision to go here!
