With our 5th baby coming, I looked at all the providers available for both ob appts and delivering my baby. I finally found Emily Walden who was a midwife and could do both jobs. Her "get to know her" video on the website is an exact representation of who she is and how much she loves her job. Emily is by far the BEST provider I've ever had for my babies.

She gives her personal number so I could directly get a hold of her at any time I needed and she was always prompt about getting back to me. She was the most natural provider as well I've ever encountered. Not quick to give out meds for something instead she always had a natural remedy that gave the same results that wasn't from big pharma. All appts she was amazing.

She never pressured anything and just let nature run its course. The best pregnancy experience ever. She is a huge advocate for water births which not many people know about. I highly recommend the water birth experience with Emily. The nursing staff and Emily did an amazing job getting the tub filled in under 7 minutes when my labor killed into high gear unexpectedly.

I wouldn't have any one else deliver another baby for me other than Emily. The nurses in the ob unit (Cara & Dion were the two we seen the most) were by far the best I've dealt with and her assistant Morgan is absolutely fantastic as well. They made sure my stay was comfortable and always made sure everything was stocked and my water cup was always full.

They also weren't helicopter nurses coming in for nothing all the time. I always had the same ultrasound tech as well, Elizabeth or Libby is what she goes by there. She is flipping great! The appts seemed to fly by she was so personable and fun but were detailed and she was a pro with not telling anyone what baby was. Never slipped to anyone and I so appreciate that.

The surprise of what baby was was well worth the wait. The ultrasound in Reedsburg was told multiple times not to tell us and she told us almost immediately what our 4th baby was. The lab techs were also always super nice. I haven't dealt with the rest of the hospital/clinic personal but the ones I have encountered have been amazing and genuine towards me.

Recently had a medical emergency ER staff was very quick to respond, my family was impressed by the communication as to what was happening and where I was being transferred to. They have really improved in the last year.

The ER doctor dismissed my concerns as if they were nothing. Made me feel silly for even going in to the ER while he spent less than 2 minutes with me on a slow day. I left with absolutely nothing from him and went to St Claire Hospital. St Claire diagnosed me and prescribed multiple medications that I urgently needed. If it's a cough or a sniffle, go to Mile Bluff. But if you are genuinely concerned for your own or a family member's well-being, go to St Claire.

First started having panic attacks, didn't understand what they were and thought I was dying. So I drove to this hospital ONCE. They told me what was happening and gave me a one time script for 15 alprazolam. I didn't have insurance at the time, couple months later they put a LAWSUIT on me for 5,500 dollars and my wages got garnished. Apparently at this hospital if you want care or good help prepare to pay 5 big ones for a half a bottle of pills and a saline IV. Terrible place and over the top price tag. One visit, one iv, half a bottle but me in debt for the next few years. Thanks Hess memorial hospital!

Our family was in the dells while at the hotel my 2 yr old daughter started crying when she would pee and had gotten a fever, she recently got over a UTI but apparently it never completely went away. At around 5:30 my husband took her to the closest open urgent care which was mile bluff, unfortunately, I had stayed at the hotel with my other child but I checked them in so they wouldn't have to wait.

My husband arrives, checks in and there is only 2 other people ahead of him, he continues receiving texts about arriving for the appointment (he told the receptionist he checked in online but she didn't seem to care) they kept taking a bunch of other people, after about half hour they took her to triage, then they waited for another hour or so in the waiting room.

Eventually they were taken to a seat in the HALLWAY where the ambulance doors kept bumping my husband's chair. After getting my daughter to pee and confirming an infection they realize they don't have antibiotics to give her so they had to give her some shots.who knows what they even were, he was told we need to do a better job of changing her and now they returned back at the hotel at a little after 10pm, my daughter is looking horrible and feels like an oven! The worst urgent care ever!

I hesitate to leave negative report, but I am frustrated. It's not the medical staff. It's not the care we receive. But it's the fact that they don't answer the phone! A few weeks ago I gave up after waiting 30 minutes for "the next available receptionist" to answer. I am trying again today. I have been listening to the "our next available receptionist will be with you shortly" for almost 15 minutes.

This is a REAL problem. You need to solve it! If you can't answer the phone have a voice mail and call people back. There are solutions to this type of poor customer service, but I really think you probably should hire more people or something!

The ER nurse on tonight was the rudest nurse I've spoke to since my mom had a stroke 2.5 years ago & 20 ER visits later. She refused to listen to my concerns or discuss the discharge plan. Waiting for the doctor to call back because Lisa can't do her job.

I visited your Dialysis unit today 8/27, the staff was very polite, great personalities and really know their jobs! Going there today I was nervous because I'm visiting a different facility and to my surprise I really like this facility more than my normal facility. Anyone needing dialysis I would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you to everyone working there making my day go so smoothly.

My father sees a doctor in this practice and has SEVERE chronic pain. His doctor and his doctor's nurse fail to call in his prescription almost every renewal period. My father then has to call several times and neither the doctor nor nurse EVER returns my father's calls. He even had to drive from his home to the location to ask if they would please call in his prescription.

I have been coming to this hospital for over a year now for prenatal care & delivery. I HIGHLY recommend Midwife & Lactation Consultant Emily Walden! This was my first pregnancy and I felt so comfortable with her right away. I always looked forward to our visits and had an amazing birth experience with her. MBMC has it all: laboring tubs, an informative birth class, friendly receptionists, caring nurses, and an awesome cafeteria.

I have been a patient at mbmc for 20+ years. Our regular doctor has done a great job through the years. Recently I've had two experiences with " specialists" that were not acceptable. First, A urologist at uw speciality clinic Was falling asleep during our conversation about an upcoming biopsy. Yes falling asleep, one eye closed the other twitching, we've all been there. Needless to say I reported this to my regular doc and got a new urologist elsewhere.

I told them I would not pay for that office call $190.00, they sent it to collections immediately. Second, I visited an older orthopedic doctor regarding hip pain. I'm not sure where or for how long he attended school to diagnose obesity, but I figured it out when I was in first grade. So after 1000.00 worth of X-rays that he didn't even address and 5 minutes of fat shaming, he suggested that I go on a 1000 calorie/ day diet and drop 120 lbs before I would be eligible for hip replacement.

He then suggested that if I was to loose the weight that my hip pain and my diabetes would vanish. Lastly he mentioned that the Mayo Clinic will consider obese people for hip surgery as they have a more complete surgical team. I plan on loosing as much weight as I can ( 26# in 5 weeks so far) If the pain persists I will give the Mayo a call.
