Mohs surgery is the most effective and advanced treatment for skin cancer today. It offers the highest potential for cure even if the skin cancer has been previously treated by another method. The Mohs procedure involves surgically removing skin cancer layer by layer. After this, the tissue is examined under a microscope until healthy, cancer-free tissue around the tumor is reached (called clear margins). In addition, Mohs College surgeon is specially trained as a cancer surgeon, pathologist, and reconstructive surgeon.
Most moles are harmless, but a change in size, shape, color or texture could be indicative of a cancerous growth. Psoriasis is a genetic disease, but is not contagious. While there is no known cure or method of prevention, treatment can minimize symptoms and speed healing. The majority of rashes are harmless and can be treated effectively with over-the-counter medications, however rashes can be a symptom for other skin problems.
Moles are brown or black growths, usually round or oval, that can appear anywhere on the skin. They can be rough or smooth, flat or raised, single or in multiples. They occur when cells that are responsible for skin pigmentation, known as melanocytes, grow in clusters instead of being spread out across the skin.

Just Don't waste your time going to this place. I WAITED to get an appointment more than 4 month because their schedule was full and they had to cancel my appointments many times bc of wheather conditions. when I finally got a appointment they canceled it because they couldnt wait for me 10 minutes bc I was running late but I did have to wait 6 month for an appointment and Worst!

The first time I went there I waited for the doctor around 20 minutes to get in to the room. Awful, they are inhumane and don't have customer service. If you are white ignore my review and go because they will treat you nice.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed. :( After Many years of receiving services) I call to make an appointment and am told I have been dropped due to not being seen since 12/2018. However my appointment in 12/2019 was cancelled and then COVID hit us in January 2020. :( Thumbs down RID on your policy.) Actually have been a patient there for over 20 years back to when it was Skin Medicine.

Feeling dropped like a hot potato : I would like to RETRACT my post! I received a call this afternoon from the office manager Stephane. She was extremely apologetic and wanted to rectify what had been told to me on the phone earlier today. I now have an appointment scheduled and look forward to receiving the same great care by their team. Awesome job RID!

Absolutely the place you need for any, and all of your dermatology needs. I was recommended to finally make an appointment with them and was glad i did. Between the friendly, and over helpful staff, i felt more than comfortable to be there and talk to them without any problems.

Recently went here to have some blood vessels lasered from my cheeks and to get a full body scan to make sure my skin was in good shape. Met with Linda & Evelyn. They were both wonderful to work with. Very professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely be going back to see these two in the future for any skin care needs I may have.

The condescending PA everyone is referring to below, blonde in her mid to late 20's is Stephanie. I do not recommend. She does not go into detail about what is found, just glances at your skin, tells you what it could be, runs no tests, and sends you on your way. I switched to a different practice because after multiple visits hearing her bash other patients to their Medical Assistant.

One conversation involved her speaking to a medical assistant about a finding with an issue where she was making fun of the patient (I won't go into detail because she violated HIPAA), another with a billing issue where she said the patient was an idiot to the receptionist. Extremely unprofessional. If you can see a different provider this place may be worth it, but I was referred to her through insurance, so I had to switch practices. Overall, stay clear of Stephanie.

I've been here multiple times and Shane has always been highly competent and quick to work. This time I went to have some lesions on my head removed and there was a new dermatologist. Evelyn had only been there for a week but was very pleasant and friendly. She was able to locate the lesions and between her and Shane were able to get me in to remove them the next day.

She did an amazing job with local anesthetic - I didn't even feel the incisions that Shane made. Highly recommended and I'll be back next time I need any dermatology work done!

I adore this place. I've seen Stephanie for lots of skin issues (tags, acne, moles, temporary skin ailments like dermatitis, etc.) and Linda for more "spa" like services such as facials, and both are some of the best professionals I've worked with in years. Stephanie is very easy to talk to. She actually listens to your concerns and gives you straight answers.

I really like that she takes the time to check out your symptoms, forms a plan with you and lets you know the next steps. She even cleared my facial acne which was mild but ever present for decades--my skin is clear for the first time since I was a teenager! Linda is also amazing. While she is on the more cosmetic side and provides facials and laser treatments, she gets results!

It may take a few facials for her to get to know your skin and tolerance for treatments, but rest assured she adjusts tactics and by the third facial, I was getting the BEST, most effective clearing facials ever. It's not a day spa, but I find the services very relaxing and extremely effective, which is what I'm personally going for. I am so grateful to have found this place.

When I have had more immediate issues, I've been seen very quickly. They don't take cash payment, but I have used my FSA card for covered visits and a regular credit card (I believe you can also write a check) for non-covered services (like the medi-spa facials and laser treatments).

First time at RI Dermatology! Excellent experience! I had a skin condition mis-diagnosed at another demonology business and Stephanie was able to properly diagnosis the issue and treat it on the spot! Will recommend RI Dermatology in Lincoln to everyone! Sheila. Pelland
