My mission is to assist patients to be and to stay physically active. Dr. Robert's special medical interest is sports medicine. She is a member of the Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Services
Lightning is an enormous danger to physically active people, due in part to the prevalence of thunderstorms in late afternoons and early evenings which coincide with a busy time for outdoor activities in our society. The activities the most at risk are: hiking, boating, golfing, cycling, horseback riding, tennis, baseball and soccer.

I went to see Dr. Robert after a friend who suffered terrible migraines had such great success with her and her dry needling technique. I had been totally missed diagnosed (with fibromyalgia) by a previous sports medicine doctor who said my pain was "very mysterious" and couldn't wrap his mind around my history as a female athlete and extreme adventurer. Dr Robert's spot-on assessment lead to just the right tests and a much clearer picture of my multiple issues (thoracic outlet syndrome as well as labral tears in both shoulders.

For one of the issues (a painful 40% right shoulder laboral tear that wasn't getting better with PT), I took Dr Robert's advice and did a stem cell treatment that was very successful. She's no nonsense, meticulous, very knowledgeable, and has been totally spot-on. I can't recommend her enough.

Dr. Robert takes the time to listen and investigate thoroughly. Her strong analytical skills and depth of experience allow her to quickly develop an action plan when further examination and treatment are required. I've had excellent outcomes every time she has treated me. Highly recommend.

Dr. Robert is a very conscientious doctor. She always manages to find the source of a problem. From experience, she was able to find the problem related to my hip and intervene effectively. Several other doctors have tried different treatments, tests over the years. But Dr. Robert was able to detect my problem quickly, a hip labral tear, and to refer to a good surgeon. Since this surgery, I am able to redo sports. Merci Dr. Robert!

Dr Robert is by far the best sports med doctor I have ever encountered. As an avid, but aging athlete, over the last 6 years, I have been treated by Dr Robert for a number of injuries, including: lumbar disc herniation and correlated radicular pain that required surgery; sacral stress fracture; torn quadricep muscle; osteo-arthritis; torn hip labrum.

I have always found Dr Robert to be a cutting edge practitioner, who epitomizes empathy and compassion. I feel very fortunate to be able to visit Dr Robert whenever I have an injury, and take advantage of her experience with various athletes, up to, and including, Olympic level competitors. Dr Robert is an elite level doctor, who delivers elite level service and results.

Despite the wear and tear of many years of athletic endeavors, because of Doctor Robert's treatment, I am still able to run at least 40 miles each and every week, and lead a very active lifestyle. Dr Robert was recommended to me by a college level athlete, and I have never been disappointed. In turn, I have recommended Dr Robert to numerous friends and fellow runners, who all echo, and magnify my laudatory comments.

For active people and athletes of any level, injuries are an unfortunate fact of life. There is nobody that I would trust more than Dr Robert when it comes to my health. Dr Robert's levels of experience, education and ongoing training, give her the background to assess, diagnose and treat sports injuries at an unsurpassed level. At my very first visit to Dr Robert, after an incredibly thorough review of my injury, she made the inspiring and comforting comment."we can fix this". I will continue to see Dr Robert, and I have the utmost confidence that she will continue to provide such an incredible level of care.

Dr Robert was able to diagnose my ankylosing spondylitis after 30 years of chronic back issues that I wrote off as simple aging (I had seen many doctors for this over that time span). Had I known this back then, I could have minimized the progress of this disease. Only advise I ever got was 'use it or lose it', i.e. stay active. This advise is till good and she also gave me the same advise.

Also she explained various options I have left and I feel more empowered to make the decisions for my own healthcare as we all should be. (I just read the comment left by Arya A. on 5/29/2017. And read his reviews of other providers and weigh the review. Arya, apparently you have suffered from pain a long time and for that you have my sympathies. Not sure how referring you to another surgeon can get you killed. And FYI, but not looking someone in the eye is considered rude around here. Good luck.)

This is the best sports medicine doctor I have ever had. I am a patient of hers. I was mis-diagnosed for five years. I had chronic back pain after a car accident. I was told by 3 other sports doctors my left leg was longer than my right. It took Dr. Robert less than 10min of examining me to ID I had a slightly dislocated left hip. She assigned a specific PT specialist who popped my hip back. After that no more back issues. I have recommended her to numerous people, who have all been very happy with her.

Dr Robert is an excellent sports medicine practioner. She was able to diagnose my cuboid syndrome and get me down the road to recovery (while a podiatrist i saw had no clue what was going on). Thank you Dr Robert!
