Ingrown toenails, also known as onychocryptosis, is usually caused by trimming toenails too short, particularly on the sides of the big toes. They may also be caused by shoe pressure (from shoes that are too tight or short), injury, fungus infection, heredity, or poor foot structure. Ingrown toenails occur when the corners or sides of the toenail dig into the skin, often causing infection.

An ankle sprain is an injury to one or more ligaments in the ankle, usually on the outside of the ankle. Today I called around 9am needing an emergency appt for an infected ingrown toenail. Wonderful experience from start to finish. The receptionists were so nice and helpful. They got me in on a cancellation spot at 10am. Everyone was so nice when I arrived. Dr Adler was wonderful! He took his time to explain everything and distract me from pain while injecting my toe.
He talked to me about other foot issues and came up with a plan moving forward. I found this practice after calling almost 20 different offices trying to get help before a hiking trip next weekend. I was highly impressed and will be recommending them to everyone!

Dr. Adler and his staff were helpful in getting me in for my problem as quickly as possible. Dr. Adler, nephew of Eastover's original and now retired Dr. Futerman, gave me the relief I needed in a personable and caring manner. I'm a new patient and my experience was wonderful. They emailed me my new patient paperwork prior to my visit so that I could hand them the completed forms when I checked in. My wait time to be seen was minimal. The visit was pleasant and the treatment plan was explained thoroughly. They even contacted my insurance while I was there to make sure my treatment plan was covered. I would highly recommend this practice. 10/10.
