Lancaster General Hospital was once again named among the top 50 hospitals in the country by U.S. News & World Report. The announcement represents the 6th time in seven years that LGH received this national recognition. Only 174 of the 4,861 medical centers evaluated scored high enough to be included. LGH is the only hospital in Lancaster County to have ever attained the U.S. News honor.

A Friday night i had kidney stone pain that got to a 9/10. They brought me in within 5 mins of checking in. I was in and out of the ER in less then 4hours and was taken care of very nicely.

Phenomenal care. Great waiting areas, amazing cafeteria and food services, even the parking garage is awesome.

I wonder how many people have died waiting for care here? It is the worst hospital ER I've ever encountered.

The pharmacy is anything but convenient. Tell me what sense it makes to have a script sent in by a doctor but not filled until the patient calls to say they want it filled. Thank the lord I'm only on life sustaining medications that I can't miss. How LGH and it's partners have anything but endless malpractice suits is beyond me. Terrible.

Son has been in the ER for 8 hours now with an open wound packed woth gauze. Had a surgery a week ago at same hospital and it ended up getting infected. His fluid bag has been empty for 3 hours now and not one person has been back here to talk to him or give him water.

When a parent that has dementia in a room and the other parent with them has been awake for 24 hours after being in ER; they won't let you stay with parent with dementia because it's not visiting hours? So the other parent can remain exhausted and Im missing work to replace parent isn't allowed? Goal is to keep patient calm but I guess not. This is a prison. Never so angry about a hospital. What are they hiding?

Our son was taken to LGH six months ago after a motorcycle accident. The Trauma Unit and all the doctors, nurses and other help were wonderful and caring! Taking time even though they were so busy to answer questions. It was nice to have staff remember me when I was going in every day. From the parking attendant, people at the check-in desks, and his nurses and doctors when I met them in the halls on different floors.

We were so blessed by the care he received! He is up and running with only a little limp sometimes! Since then I've been there for a minor outpatient surgery. And had staff that remember me from being in with my son for his 10 surgeries. And again we had a great experience! Thank you for your care! God bless you!

Was there yesterday for the first time. I can't say enough how friendly and caring the staff is! I felt comfortable and well cared for. God bless these workers!

My husband was sent to the ER by his doctor after being diagnosed with blood clots in his right lung on Monday January 3rd. Well, while in the ER and our kids living in another state, I was on my phone different times keeping them in the loop. Although our youngest daughter who drove quite a ways and through a snow storm was able to join us. They even let her come back to be with us which was so nice but during that time my phone was gonna shut off with low battery and that was the only way to stay connected with our kids and other people. Well.a nurse named CAROLINE CURTIS came to the rescue.

The ER was slammed and she was very busy but she treated us like we were the only ones in the ER. She found this portable charging station for me to charge my phone. But if that wasn't enough we found ourselves so hungry and being there for a few more hours CAROLINE CURTIS very quickly found us some food. I originally just asked for some crackers of which we got too, but in came this food box filled with a turkey and cheese sandwich etc. with drinks.

I know the ER was slammed bad and I know there were people who were far worse off then even us but again CAROLINE CURTIS treated us like we were the only one there and she did it with a servants heart and with a smile. You can imagine how calming that was. Also, we were told that she has been there for a few years too and to still be able to treat us so kind amongst the ER being so busy and filled to capacity. Thank you CAROLINE CURTIS. You truly are a hero and if I could give you more then 5 stars I would!
