I was seeing an opthomologist in the elgin location for an eye issue that needed follow up for a spot on my eye. When I called for my next appointment I was shocked to find out the office had closed. No information sent to the patients and no idea where the doctor I was seeing went. The receptionist was clueless which comes down to bad management. Not sure what is happening in the medical field but get managers who know how to do their job. Now I'm off to find another doctor cause I'm not coming back here.

The doctors are excellent. I have complicated eye issues and they treat them with such great success. My only issue is that it took 2 months for my glasses to come in. I had to order 3 pairs and the wait was extremely intolerable. I guess everything is slower since nice Covid. Overall I would say they are excellent and highly recommend them

Dr. Rosin is very knowledgeable and caring goctor. He offers qualified help and spends as much time as you need to explain everything using "human" language until he sees that you understand all the details and terminology. The office staff is always polite and helpful. Dr. Rosin is simply the best!

The doctor was great. She is very knowledgeable and provided level of detail with explanations that helped me understand everything. The person that fitted me for the glasses wasn't as clear as far as what selections to choose, I received my glasses and they made the vision worse and in a different color tone. I think if I would've received better explanation I wouldn't have the issue with the color tone changing.

They are nice people. when you can get them. They are often inaccessible. Attempts to reach them during normal business hours are often stonewalled. Phone calls are often directed to an after-hour recorded message instructing the caller to phone back during normal hours. That is fine except the calls are being made during normal hours - weekday mornings at 11 AM for instance.

The recorded message indicates their open times and my calls fall within those times. This is now happened to me on several occasions. It's become impossible to determine when they will be in the office, making it very difficult for me to plan visits. I have been a client if this office for several years - dating back to when Dr. Siegel owned the practice and never had a problem, but they are becoming increasingly difficult to work with.

Mistake. I should have gone back to Costco. Out of three pairs of glasses, one a sunglass and one a spare, only one was the correct prescription. Not necessarily the fault of the technicians working in the stores but rather the lab that they use to grind and make the lens for the glasses. After 5 weeks and over a $1,000 I am still waiting for my glasses.

I have had two recent encounters with Rosin Eyecare in Northbrook: the first time I went in, Shelby was incredible helpful and patient in helping me pick out and order some new sunglasses. I also had a pair of (prescription) regular glasses that have been sliding down my nose for months. He adjusted them and I love them again! Second encounter was over the phone, ordering a replacement for a pair of sunglasses I lost. They placed the order and within a week the new sunglasses were at my door. Thank you Rosin Eyecare!

Is this place out of business? I called last week numerous times to order contact lenses and only get voice mail that suggests I call during normal business hours, and it was normal business hours! I tried today, again normal business hours, and got an answering service or someone who was only taking call for emergencies. I looked online and discovered it's Rosin now. I called the 800 number (gotta Love that ) and got a voice mail! I guess I will be finding somewhere else to go.

I had a great visit at this Rosin Optical in Northbrook. i left very happy with new contacts and i can see great. the optimetrist was very smart and solved my vision issues. He explained things very well. i will deginately go back.

I have been a customer of Rosin Eyecare for over 10 years. In the past, they have fulfilled orders for lenses in a timely manner. However, 3 years ago there was a significant delay on my order (getting new lenses in an old frame I like). Now, I have been waiting over 30 days for the Lab to complete my order. Whoever they have working in the lab now are incompetent.

They have scratched the lenses 3 times, which means I have to wait another 3 weeks for the production of my lenses. This is unacceptable. Unfortunately, however attentive the employees are at Rosin locations (I have been working with 3 different locations now), they have absolutely no control of the quality at the lab or the production of lenses. They are a middle man. DO NOT GO TO ROSIN EYECARE! WARNING! You will never get your glasses. I have been wearing an old prescription that is now damaging my eyesight. I am now in a very difficult position and feel like a victim.

Rosin is fantastic! I tripped over my dog and broke my glasses. They were able to get me in the next day, and expedited my glasses shipment so I had them a week later! Real lifesavers.

Absolutely the worst service. Had been a customer for many years and when I needed a spare contact lense in an emergency situation, they were more interested scheduling me for another test. I offered to get a test that day just so I could get a spare lense but they were too busy and seemed dis-interested in my situation. Needless to say, it was not hard finding other optometrists in the area that would test me same day and provide a spare contact lenses. You really find out the substance of an organization in times of need. ROSIN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER, JUST THEIR REVENUE AND THEIR SCHEDULE.

Went in with Lasik in mind after getting requesting an email quote from their website. They answered any questions I had before the appointment by email so I was ready when I got there. My consultation was very professional and the optometrist was friendly. I was easily booked for my lasik surgery within days (there was a cancellation that opened up a spot). Dr. Rosin is an excellent opthalmologist, educated at Northwestern medical, and taught there for many years.

He has been in practice for over 20 years and he took wonderful care during my procedure. I absolutely recommend this surgeon for Lasik. At my next-day follow up my vision was measured 20/20, and it will likely get better as I heal. Thank you for changing my life!

Rosin Eyecare is the Best! This summer they saved my eyesight when they detected narrow angles in my eyes and sent me to the Eye doctor for successful eye surgery! We have gotten 5 pairs of glasses threw out the years from Rosin Eyecare and have always had great service, care and the best glasses. I highly recommend Rosin Eyecare!

I can only speak for the Northbrook location. While I've had good experiences with the doctors here, the front office is always a mess. I've lost track of the number of times they've screwed up my appointments, my prescriptions, my orders. I continue to come because the doctors are good and the location is convenient, but be warned. The experience is not a smooth one.

My friend had gone here for years and so did I. We loved dr Siegel. New doc told her that the high pressure in her eyes wasn't a problem! She got a second option and was immediately put on glaucoma treatment. Now she has minor eye damage from the untreated glaucoma.

Every single individual with whom we came into contact was very friendly and professional and very knowledgeable. I unexpectedly got my eyes examined while we were there looking for glasses for my husband; I wasn't planning on it but found some L.A. Eyeworks frames I loved. Absolutely everything was great. We ended up not buying glasses because they do not currently offer polarized transition lenses. I would highly recommend this place regardless.

So I actually went here for 5 years and was indifferent until today when I tried Elite Eye Care in the south loop. My annual exam & contact lense fitting was right under $100 each time I came to Rosin - I questioned why it was so high when I have insurance and was told it was due to the contact lense fitting required by Illinois (and I had just moved here so I took their word for it - shame on me).

I just had the same annual exam & fitting at Elite Eye Care and walked out paying $10 total. The indifference prior to today would've resulted in a 2 star rating regardless b/c there was always somewhat of a wait for your appt time and if my appt is at 5P and i'm not taken back at 5P then I am leaving. I don't have time to wait on other people who are not on time.

I've been coming here forever and I even gave a 5 star review a few years ago. However, since Dr. Siegel left his practice, it is a complete disaster. I accidentally fell asleep with my contact lenses in and developed a great deal of discomfort in my eyes. I went for 3 appointments and paid $150 in insurance fees. The last appointment I was told nothing was seriously wrong and to try wearing contacts again.

I did and experienced a tremendous amount of discomfort. The optometrist told me that she didn't know what was wrong. I finally sought out a second opinion, since she didn't bother to refer me to anyone who might know what was going on, and was diagnosed with multiple corneal abrasions and advised not to wear contacts for at least a month. I will never give this business another penny again. Talk about going down hill.

BY FAR, thee worse place to go for an exam. They TRIED to scam and trick me into ordering lens so they can file a claim on my insurance. I will never go back, they said my insurance changed benefits. They called my "insurance" I asked to talk to them, I got on the phone it was someone who knew absolutely nothing about members benefits. I was told I had to pay more out of pocket because of the FREE "TRIAL PAIR" for the new transition contacts.

Right after my eye exam my doctor gave me eyes drops so my eyes wouldn't work so hard to focus. I was then taken to sign off on paperwork and payments, paperwork was a little woozy but listening to the charges and reasons why I waited til I came to clear vision to re over it again. They then claimed it was a misunderstanding/miscommunication. The Bloomingdale location is nothing but a scam to show their making profit but they realy aren't. I have the original and corrected paperwork.

Rosin Eyecare talks about customer service, but they are horrendous. Not only did my wife had a rude receptionist who was not willing to explain anything. I recently had a terrible encounter with the manager. My prescription was wrong, but they were not willing to see me again. My previous prescription "according to them" changed and so I trusted them. Got my glasses and its way off.

Including the axis. Additionally my contact prescription was for a set of contacts I can't find anywhere but at the center. I feel ripped off. For a good customer experience all they had to do was see me again and fix their wrong prescription. The manager had the balls to talk about liability, when in fact they have given me the wrong prescription.

Up until this morning, I'd been a customer here for more than a decade, spending thousands of dollars on contacts and glasses over that time for myself and my two children. I was treated so rudely here this morning that we will never be back. I had a 9:30 appointment and showed up, as instructed on my confirmation text, at 9:15 a.m. The door was locked and the woman at the front desk glared at me and rolled her eyes as I stood in the rain.

When I knocked on the door, the assistant manager grudgingly came to unlock it. They said they were aware of what the text said but had been told not to unlock the door until 9:30. They did nothing to apologize for their rudeness and, instead, acted as if I was imposing on them. I canceled my appointment and an upcoming one for my child. I will never spend another cent with North Center Eye Care or Rosin Eye Care ever again.

Excellent service and care. While getting an eye exam and new glasses, I had touches with about 5 staff members, and everyone (doctor, optometrist, reception, etc) was courteous, kind, and helpful. Got a pair of great frames that fit beautifully and the prescription is perfect. Also, I asked for a copy of my eye exam and they sent it to me, no questions asked or pressure for a sale, within an hour. Will definitely return.

This place is so wonderful. The doctors make you feel so comfortable. The staff are so extremely friendly and helpful. One associate (Ty) even stayed about 10 minutes after closing to help me pick out frames that fit well and he made me feel so comfortable, we even picked out a more stylish frame than I would have on my own! Not to mention, he didn't look at the time once or seem annoyed by staying late at all.

I just can't tell you how refreshing it is to have help from someone and feel like they are actually there to help you, and not just go to work to collect a paycheck and go home. I called about two weeks after this visit to check to see if the glasses came in. I spoke with Tyler who was so nice and couldn't find a status on my glasses, but told me he would have his manager call the factory and check. Boom!

About 10 minutes later I got a call saying they were being shipped out tonight and in tomorrow. I wish it didn't take so long for the frames to come in, but that isn't their fault and they were so prompt about getting back to me about the status. I couldn't be happier with this place!

First time getting contacts and everyone there made it a very welcoming and easy experience. Everything was explained to me thoroughly and the appointment went at a good pace that wasn't rushed or felt like I was made to wait around forever. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I also felt that like some others have said the contacts were pretty expensive for me even after insurance.

What really prompted me to write this review though was the sweet card I got in the mail from the gentleman who helped me with the process of actually fitting my contacts. I know they probably send these out to a lot of clients but it was still a really nice touch and Ty if you're reading this - It was an absolutely pleasure working with you as well!

I have been going to North Center Eye Care for several years and always had positive experiences. Recently I saw Dr. Kowalski and he really took time to diagnose an issue I was having. The front office staff are great too. I really feel like they are not trying to nickle and dime you, which is refreshing!

Hadn't gotten my prescription updated in about 4 years and thought it was probably time I find an eye doctor in the city. Couldn't be more happy with Northcenter Eye Care. Everyone is very nice but have to give a specific shout out to Josh who was very patient (I can be very indecisive) and gave great input when helping me find new frames. Ordered them on Saturday afternoon and they told me it would be 7-10 days, got a call that Tuesday that they were ready to be picked up (I'm sure this turnaround isn't standard but I'm a pleased patient/customer)

I just got a "FINAL NOTICE - To Collection, Legal" Notice from Rosin Eyecare for $5.37. I never received any of the previous mails as it must have gotten lost during my move but to get this from my son who finally received this last night and dated 7/26/17 and said I had 14 days to pay or it will be sent to collections. WOW. I called and spoke to Michelle at the Michigan office and she was so nonchalant about it and said "so you took care of the payment? So you should be fine, now" My phone number have not changed so with one phone call, I would have taken care of it. Oh well, I won't be going back there again.

Came in today as a new patient. Arrived 10 min early hoping it would be quick, as it is a work day for me. They made me wait 45 minutes. I finally asked if we could start the appointment soon, but the doctor was still with a patient. I offered to stay a few more minutes if the doctor could meet with me right away, but they would not accommodate. I will not be returning - it was a complete waste of my time.

Good doctor, stick with just the exam and take the prescription elsewhere. My brand of contacts (Biofinity) were almost twice as expensive compared to purchasing them from an online retailer. I thought, okay I can pay extra for the customer service. 5 weeks after I pick up my glasses, I notice the top of my right lens actually slipped out of the frame.

When I stopped by, I was repeatedly told that it was because the specific frame I bought was susceptible to lenses coming out. Only option they gave me was to pay extra for another set of lenses, even though the original sales rep already upsold me on thin lenses for exactly this reason. This coming after just a little over a month wearing the current pair. Waste of my lunch break, and so unfortunate because the doctor was really nice during the exam.

Terrible customer service. They were trying to make sure I buy my contacts through their service. So they gave me an estimate - AND filed a claim that led to a hold on my insurance benefits. When I started shopping around online I could not use my benefits because they were on hold. So i had to spend an hour in the morning trying to resolve this issue. The price they quoted was not the best too. I am very disappointed about this way of tricking people into buying. I am definitely not coming back.

Five years later, I just want to say how much I've loved going to see Dr. Siegel and the staff at Northcenter Eye Care. They've always been so helpful to my 4 eyes--their email reminders for yearly appointments are great, Josie (I believe) has even given me a second opinion about which frames work best on my face, and I could always count on Dr. Siegel for some laughs. I recently moved far away from the office and I'll be forced to try a new optometrist. They will have big shoes to fill. Wish everyone at this practice all the best.

While the doctors are very good don't expect much from the staff. Very expensive and be prepared to to wait a long time for your glasses. I asked them after 10 days why they weren't ready and they said "We have no control over that" How can it take 10 days for a pair of glasses and why wouldn't I wouldn't I go to lens crafters? Not much of a customer experience.

Quick addendum: Went in this afternoon to have my glasses adjusted. Brought several pair, including sunglasses I'd gotten somewhere else ages ago. Dr. Siegel sat with me throughout, adjusted all 3 pair, and remembered my name. Just can't recommend this place enough. Many thanks.

I actually enjoy getting my eye's checked! I always have a great experience when I come to this office. Dr. Siegel is great, he's very thorough in his exam, but he always adds some humor which makes for a pretty pleasant doctor's appointment. The entire staff is also friendly and helpful. I couldn't decide on which new frames to choose and the staff ordered the color's and style I was interested in so I could try them on before deciding. Really great service! *They take VSP insurance.

I likeD this place a lot. Dr. Seigel was great! I won't be back. I went in there with one month left before my prescription for contacts expired hoping to order another years worth. My vision is stable, I can see well, I'm happy with my current prescription. After consulting with the new doc, the woman at the desk came back and told me she would only allow me to purchase one months worth of contacts.

After a bit of debate and a clear indication that I wouldn't be returning unless they changed their mind, I left without another years worth of contacts. Apparently, the doc felt that it was more important to charge my insurance and make a profit off of my exam than to keep a customer. I found a nice place in Lincoln Square to give my business to.

Honesty is the best policy, right? No, obviously NOT @ Northcenter eye care. As previous reviews elude to, they do NOT disclose the fact that a contact "fitting" fee will be deceptively padded into your bill. Oh wait, I still cannot get a WRITTEN explanation to what exactly was billed to my insurance. Isn't this my legal right? Aren't they, upon request, supposed to legally provide a copy of your prescription as well? Too bad! Unfortunately, I have my doubts as to the legitimacy concerning some of the positive reviews.

An excellent customer-focused business. I go here for check-ups and sometimes contacts (almost always cheaper online, no matter where you go). My first visit, the assistant at the desk took my glasses to check the prescription. Before I could even ask, he tightened a loose screw and adjusted the glasses to my face. The optometrists are thorough, very understanding and patient; the assistants well-informed regarding insurance/procedures. The office is clean, and the walls covered with a good selection of frames.
