CXL-1 has the potential to correct a multitude of conditions including keratoconus and offers the ability to restructure and strengthen the cornea for patients after refractive procedures. It is hoped that the CXL-1 study will demonstrate that cross-linking improves the shape of corneas to increase stability and stop further vision loss.

My issue with this place is the front office. I asked for the cost to have a general eye exam and was quoted $100. I do not have Eye Med or other insurance for eyes so the cost was important to me. I had my exam with a very nice lady and a nice doctor. In the end, the cost was $180 and more than what I expected. I am amending my review to reflect that Schwartz Laser Eye Center did contact me and acknowledged my problem, and provided a fair resolution with which I am happy. If you want to be treated like a number then go get your eyes done here! It's like a factory and you are just another person and they don't care. The doctor is nice but the staff is horrible. I had lens replacement surgery and had several appointments over the last four months and I dread going into my weekly appointments because the staff is so rude. My eyes are doing well but I would recommend going somewhere else if you want to be treated with respect!

Dr. Schwartz and his staff were wonderful! As I was on vacation and had scheduled a new patient appointment at the Glendale facility, the doctor I was to see had alternative processes that day. However, they were kind enough to get me an appointment in the afternoon, as I needed to be seen this week. All issues were addressed professionally and with concern and compassion.yet not in a condescending manner. Would highly recommend. Very thorough.and intensive testing. Of note. Masks are currently required, but is understandable in this current day and age!

Highly recommend this place! Recieved LASIK eye surgery during 2017 and was not disappointed with the results. I went in to see if I was a good candidate for the procedure. Under went some tests and eye measurements which I have never done before [the weirdest thing was getting my eyes numb and having them poke them with a measuring tool to measure the radius of my cornea. Felt like my eye ball was swollen].
When I was informed of the procedure I set a date and could not wait. The day of the procedure was like any other day of surgery, you arrive early, the staff preps your eyes for surgery, and you go into it. The entire surgery took around 10-15 minutes and after I went home and slept. It took a few days for my eyes to heal but 12 months later my vision is 20/20 and I am still amazed with the results. Overall very pleased with this place and highly recommend to anyone looking at correcting their vision. They also have great selection of sunglasses.
