Dr. Tom Stotz has been proudly treating patients since 1979. He is a board certified chiropractic orthopedist and is a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors. He enjoys treating his patients utilizing chiropractic, acupuncture and home exercise instruction. In his spare time, Dr. Tom enjoys cooking and spending time with his wife, Julie and playing with their grandchildren.
This is a widely used type of chiropractic manipulation/adjustment that includes most of the procedures taught in chiropractic institutions. This technique is the most commonly used of all chiropractic techniques and is the one probably most familiar to patients. The Diversified manipulation/adjustment entails a high velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by hand and possibly with assistance from a table or block.
This is a hand-held, spring-loaded instrument-based manipulation/adjustment protocol. Instead of the manipulating/adjusting forces being delivered by hand, force is generated with the small appliance that delivers a lighter, but quicker, thrust than can be delivered by hand. In our office, Activator is most often used as a selective method for patients who may not desire manual manipulation/adjustment or where manual manipulation/adjustment may be contraindicated.

TJ was terrible. First a $45 exam that my insurance doesn't cover then the treatment. I went in for lower back pain. He pushed twice on the lower back and I don't think it popped. That was it. No maintenance routine and didn't help the problem area at all. I love first chiropractic but won't be seeing him again.

Staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. Dr. TJ is very professional and able to provide relief to most ailments. My disappointment is that only Dr. TJ was wearing a mask.none of the front wait room staff or any of the patients waiting in the waiting room where wearing masks. I'll give credit that they had a person at the front door checking everyone's temp who entered.
But they weren't wearing any PPE, large exposure risk for herself and patients entering the clinic. But, as far as chiropractors are concerned Dr. TJ is one of the bests, the infection control mitigation efforts during the pandemic could be revised and definitely improved upon.

Yankton, you are getting a STELLAR doc in Dr. Matt Erlandson! He has helped me for the past few years with various problems, most recently a serious humerous break! Dr. Matt is a very thorough and caring young man. He gives the BEST adjustments! I am a "hard adjust" so I have a great appreciation for his skills and his touch. I love his sense of humor and playfulness as I like to joke around a little when I get my adjustments. This is one of my ways of coping with difficult situations! While I shall miss Dr. Matt, I wish him all the best!

I started going to First Chiro back in 2012. It was the best office I have ever been to. I first started out with Sheila Fitzgerald. She was amazing. The staff is super friendly, and very helpful. Plus they are fun to be around. Very good environment. I recently hurt my neck and Tj Stotz fixed me right up. He is just as friendly as the rest.
