Went in for a follow-up, as I am currently applying eyedrops to ease pressure in both eyes. Saw a different doctor today, but everyone I've ever had contact with has always been very pleasant and professional. Any questions I have are answered.

My experience at Advanced Vision Care was excellent. The entire staff were very friendly and made my first visit very comfortable. Everything was explained well and I feel that I am in good hands. I highly recommend AVC for all your vision needs!

I felt welcomed with the friendly receptionists and the young lady that attended my before I saw the Dr. Was very kind and professional. Very nice clean clinic. Forgot to mention Dr. was very good as well. I highly recommend Advanced Vision Care. Setting up an appointment is so easy as well. Looking forward to my next appt.

I have keratoconus, and this is the best place in Tucson to get examined and fitted for the specialty contacts required for this condition. Service was warm and friendly, with a special effort put in to make sure to fit me into an appointment that worked for my schedule. The location is very nice, and the treatment was professional, straightforward, and kind.

I always felt that things were being explained very well, and that I could ask any question about treatments or billing. Would definitely recommend this location to family and friends.

I absolutely loved this vision care place. Everyone was very friendly and thorough. The doctor gave me great advice for my eye health and made recommendations on my needs. Luise was so helpful with assisting me in choosing a great pair of glasses. Great experience

Dr. Gutenkauf is awesome! She takes the time to listen and really cares about her patience. She makes difficult situations dealing with specialty lenses, which can be an unpleasant experience, much easier to deal with! Great Dr!

I have been receiving treatments at at the dry eye spa at advanced vision care and the results are amazing. I was having fluctuations in my vision and that has diminished considerably. After the treatments I can see so much better. Thank you doctor Burgett and your staff for creating a warm and caring environment!

It is always a pleasant experience going to Advanced Vision Care. They are timely, the office is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and Dr. Burgett is knowledgeable and professional. They are always up to date with new technology that can help me have a better quality of life through better vision. I've been coming to this office for years and will continue to to do so!

DO NOT GO HERE! This place was horrible I immediately did not like the place even before I walked in. I felt that they were judging me for my race and just because I am not white like majority of them. The older lady who helped me finalize all my payments was just straight up rude and had this tone. It was not until I followed my gut to go somewhere else because I just don't trust this place.

This is when I found out that they were honestly trying to scam my family and I because I was prescribed neurolenses when the place I went to after this place had no idea what that was. Treat all your patients how you want to be treated because this customer services was atrocious. If I could give zero stars I would.

If you want competent eye care, avoid this doctor. Two years in a row my "new" eye glass lens prescriptions from this office produced slightly blurred vision when I wore my glasses. If you expect a good bedside manner, avoid this doctor. He is in and out of the exam room so fast you'd think he is running a race! It was clear to me, during both of my eye exams, he really wanted to be somewhere other than the exam room.

The straw that broke the camel's back for me was last year, during covid, I learned he wanted me to submit to a remote exam. He expected me to be in the examination room, with one of his employees, while he was at home! How in the hell could a competent exam be done from his kitchen? And I found it very arrogant for him to expect one of his employees to "endanger" themselves by exposing themselves to me and other patients while he stayed safe at home! I know of at least three patients who have walked away from this practice as a result of this doctor's arrogance and lack of competency. I miss my old eye doctor.

I've been coming to this office since 2014, when it was owned by another optometrist, and found that the office has still continued to provide high-level vision healthcare. The front office staff is kind, the optometry assistants are laid back, but efficient, and the optometrists that I've met have been knowledgeable and realistic. One of the bigger focus areas for the practice is also in the management of dry eyes, so this is a great office to help deal with that kind of issue.

The only major gripe I have with this office is that there seems to be poor communication between the front office staff, who gather/do the insurance verification, and the actual opticians, who discuss your frame and lense options. Once you make it past the insurance hurdle though, the service is pretty great and Louise, especially, wants to make sure you get frames that will get you looking your best.

Broad selection, state of the art equipment, and knowledgeable staff. We recently came in to get my daughter contacts. Both ladies at the front desk were fantastic. They are a pleasure to work with and efficiently went above and beyond to navigate out our eye insurance coverage. We have been coming here for several years and will continue to use them. Thanks!

The customer service is awful! I bought two pairs of glasses last year, one pair was Gucci and they already broke. I paid close to $900 for two pair of glasses and one pair is already broken less than a year later. I don't want to name the young lady who helped me but she was supposed to contact me when my trial pair of contacts came in, she never did.

I had to keep following up with them, and it took months and months just to get a trial pair of contacts that wasn't comfortable for me. It was a struggle to get my prescriptions. The eye doctor was really good and thorough but the staff is awful. I gave up on trying to find the right pair of contacts with this company. I'll just go someplace else.

My parents and I got our eyes checked the end of last year. The staff was unpleasant and it wasn't good appointments overall. Between the 3 of us we got 5 pairs of glasses filled. My parents' 2 pairs were filled in the office and my 3 pairs were filled at a different location because they didn't have a good variety of frames and the people to assist you finding glasses were very rude and condescending.

All 5 of our pairs of glasses ended up having completely wrong prescriptions in them. I live out of state and had to come back into state to have another appointment to recheck my eyes and my parents had to have new appointments as well. So 6 appointments between the 3 of us. Our prescriptions we got the second time were corrected but the staff was still very unfriendly and unprofessional.

All 5 pairs had to be completely redone with another waiting period for them to be completed. It cost me hundreds of dollars, months of waiting between appointments/waiting to have my glasses refilled (my appointment was in December and I finally got glasses with the correct prescriptions in February or March), time wasted waiting for them to answer the phone because notoriously the staff doesn't answer, and traveling back into town to get the correct prescriptions in the glasses that should have been done in the first place.

Also during my appointment, the Dr. argued with me telling me I was going to get transition lenses when I clearly said I didn't want them and that having them would negatively effect my profession. Then this year comes around and they automatically set up appointments for you with no notice other than a text message saying if you don't cancel or show up they'll charge you a fee.

So if your phone number is changed, you probably won't get notified they set up an appointment under your name. You also can't cancel the appointment by text, only calling into the office to the phone number they hardly answer. It took calling over and over again to get someone to answer and not have it sent to voicemail. And cancelling took at least twice as long as it should have for an appointment that we didn't set up. Horrible experience overall.

We used to always go to here before it was taken over by the new staff and never had any of these issues. Absolutely highly reccomend going somewhere else unless you want to pay for glasses that are unusable, then pay for all new ones because of their mess up, and being without glasses for possibly months.

They'll tell you that they accept your insurance but then charge you for the procedure that "no insurance covers" at the end. After that they'll throw expensive frames at you in hopes that you'll buy them. No communication and below average service is what you will find here.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. My entire family have been a customer of Advanced Vision Care for nearly 15 years. I have spent a ton of money here. Not anymore, not another dime! I have brought my most recent pair of glasses back three times, these are NOT cheap glasses. Today, David, their "eye glass tech" accused me of stepping on my glass. HOW DARE HIM?! These were the first words out of his mouth. This is no way to treat a long term customer.

The entire team was so friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel very important and cared for. I was amazed at all of the state of the art equipment they used to get my prescription just right! I would highly recommend Dr Sellers to anyone!

Been to this location three times. Two out of three bad experiences, conflicting information given, not upfront. Won't be back to this office. Unfortunately the staff is nice but they need to be trained better. Ordered the wrong frames for me and then tried saying she sent me an email when they came in days ago, never got an email and the guy up front said they called me.

Either way never heard from them until I had to reach out to them took two weeks to get the glasses they told me would take 7 days to get. I will be looking elsewhere for my families eye needs.

Awesome! Dr. Seller and his staff went above and beyond to help me and my eye emergency this week. My eye swelled so much I could hardly see out of my eye. First they told me to try a certain eye drop and over the counter medicine that might help. The next morning it had not changed Dr. seller made a special appointment to see me and was able to prescribe medicine that cleared up my eye. I went from total panic to my eye clearing up. Thanks Liz and Dr Sellers!

My husband was the patient, this is his review. Keep in mind he is a medical professional. I can relate to feeling 'ripped off.' Anything but transparent. I lost a single vision hard contact lens and called for an appt. Despite 3 separate requests to the office, I could not get a cost estimate. When I continued to press, I was told there was a $189 exam special (plus lens costs) so I proceeded, expecting a relatively expensive cost, say perhaps as high as $300 (after reading other comments).

As my appointment ended, I was given a bill for an exam and a pair of contacts for $607 - and that is after their 'generous' 15% discount! Good quality exam, some less than friendly staff but acceptable but outrageous prices with no warning.

Can I give negative stars please? Terrible experience with this company. Over the phone they advised me the appointment was covered by my insurance. Then in person, I was not allowed to leave without paying $289 for a surprise fitting fee. I never went back, but did leave several messages for them to mail me a copy of my contact lens prescription.

Two weeks after the appointment I finally received a call back saying they could not provide the prescription because the fitting was not over until I came back in with the one week of free trial contacts to see how they fit. If the fitting was not over, how was I charged the fitting fee? I asked for them to refund my healthcare spending account visa card that I used and bill me manually on paper for a paper trail and was told I'd get a call back.

I was then called back by "Carol" who advised me Dr. Sellers would be willing to just refund my $289 outright but only if I removed my google review. Makes me wonder how many bad reviews were taken down after they bribed their unhappy customers. Shady business practices.

I have been going to Advance Vision Care for several years now and I am extremely satisfied with my eye care. They have all the top rated equipment to exam your vision health. The staff is very courteous and efficient. Dr Sellers always demands accurate information kept in your file and is very straight and forward about your health care needs. I don't know of any doctors that gives you their personal cell number in case of an eye emergency but Dr Sellers does.

There is also a variety of eyewear prices and selection to choose and staff is good about not pressuring you on your personal price selection and what's comfortable for your wallet. The only negative is if you get and appointment at 1:00 and get there early the doors are closed until 1:00 due to their lunch break. I think they should have one person at reception desk and leave their door open especially in the summer time. A customer should have to wait outside when you make an effort to make your appointment on time and have to wait outside and that's why I gave this four stars.

Excellent staff. I was given a new appt same day at no charge when we realized I needed more time to test for contact lenses. Pricing with my insurance was discounted and I could pay in 3 installments-perfect! They are very knowledgable and considerate. Charly was wonderful and patient to teach me how to use contacts. I have complete confidence in this office to handle all my needs. I will be going back!

The professionalism of staff was wonderful. Friendly helpful people. I needed to change my appt on the same day and was not charged! I was given a thorough exam with the latest equipment there is available. I have full confidence in this doctor and his staff. I am wearing contacts for the fist time after wearing glasses for over 20 years. Its great! Charly who specializes in contacts, was so kind and patient, very caring.
