The key to maintaining eye health is regular eye exams. In Las Vegas, the best place to get them is Siems LASIK & Eye Center. When you have your eyes checked on regular basis, we can detect eye diseases or other abnormalities that may be forming but haven't caused symptoms yet. Early intervention is crucial in preventing vision loss from conditions like glaucoma disease, which may not present symptoms until significant and irreversible damage has already happen.Early detection gives you a choice of treatments and reduces the possibility of permanent damage.
Patients with diabetes are at a higher risk of developing eye conditions as a complication. These conditions can lead to vision loss and blindness and encompass diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and glaucoma. Diabetic retinopathy is actually the leading cause of blindness in the US. These are why Siems LASIK & Eye Center offers diabetic eye exams in Las Vegas NV. These conditions develop without any noticeable loss of vision or pain, so the damage has already been done by the time you notice anything.

I am a patient of Dr Jon Siems (please read further) In the past he has been very good with my eye surgery. I have intraocular lenses. Due to Cataracts (probably lied to the insurance company about that!) failed to tell me that the lights at night would make me feel like I would be in "Disneyland" all the time! Lights are severely distorted. Dangerous for driving at night.

He suggested I needed to have a touch up on my right eye because it was 20-30. After. the procedure, my eye is now 20 - 50! So sorry that I cannot work now! STLL CANNOT SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Best doctor in town. I went to many different clinics (Nevada Eye Center, The LASIK Vision Institute, LASIK of Nevada, Wellish Vision Institute) and nobody was able to solve my problem. I had a problem with a scar dip in my eye and all of them were saying I can't do Lasik. Dr. Siems is the only one that realized that the scar was too deep to be affected by the laser. Everything was amazing. One year later my vision is 20/20. I just hope the doctor changes the rude girl at the entrance.

Greatest decision I've made in my life. I called & they had a great deal going on so I decided to go for it. Went in for my consultation and they had me scheduled for my surgery the following week. The day came and of course I was nervous, just the thought of the whole process scared me. I got to the office and they went over everything once again and had me relaxed.

The whole surgery was less than 10 minutes. I didn't feel a thing! Just a bunch of bright lights. I highly recommend Dr. Siems for anyone who is thinking about getting laser. Thank you to Dr. Siems & his team for letting me to see the world again!

I had this procedure done 2 days ago. After being a teacher during the pandemic and using Zoom for a year I was done with glasses and contacts. Dr. Siems is professional, funny and very relaxed. I decided on Dr. Siems because of a referral from a friend and (most importantly) he does all the procedures himself and has a ton of experience. They were able to schedule me 2 days after my initial appointment.

The procedure went great and was quick - painless but not enjoyable haha. The day after surgery my eyes were blurry with texting but driving was easy. The doctor said I needed to increase my moisture drops. Today I feel like my vision is almost perfect. I'm so happy with my experience with Dr. Siems and the care I received from his very knowledgeable colleagues. Thank you Dr. Siems!

A terrible disappointment for our family: my husband was misdiagnosed by an optometrist as having cataracts, and referred to Dr. Siems. Actually, he had a glioblastoma, and died from it a few months later. After my husband had his first surgery, Dr. Siems laughed about how heavy and large the cataract was. When we left the office, my husband's gait was strange.

Everyone was looking at us, while Dr. Siems did not notice because he was bantering with the women at the front counter. The neurosurgeon said Dr. Siems should have known or suspected the condition before the cataract surgery, and done an immediate referral. Would that have saved my husband's life? Ultimately, no. Would it have given our family a little more time? Most likely.

Honestly all of these extremely negative reviews scare me and I typically don't leave reviews so I thought I would share my specific experience. Sixteen years ago in 2004 both my sister and I traveled to have Dr Seims perform our LASIK procedures as he came highly recommended by a family member and her friend who both had positive results. My sister and I were very nearsighted (somewhere around 20/600) and had been since were were quite young.

We were both gymnasts and participated in water sports so glasses and contacts were difficult. Dr Siems was quite professional, he and his staff answered our many questions, made us feel comfortable, and the procedures were easy, painless and resulted in us both having 20/20 or better vision. This absolutely changed our lives and outlook. Being free from contacts and glasses was amazing!

We even drove 8 hours home 1 week later very comfortably. Fifteen years later (2019) I had 20/25 vision and just this last year (2020 of course), my nearsightedness has begun to regress to around 20/80 in one eye and 20/100 in the other. Naturally, after having such a great experience, I am back looking into an enhancement procedure and am a bit disappointed finding such reviews.

I would say as a PhD scientist working for a company that performs safety testing for drugs about to go on the market or already in the clinic, there is never a one size fits all solution (even with drugs, vaccines ie-Covid, etc) as every person is different. There is always a risk associated and it makes me wonder if a doc has been doing a procedure for 20 or so years and a low percentage of procedures go poorly (just like drugs, etc) if this feedback is the majority of people who write reviews.

Vision has such a profound effect on our lives and I would be horrified as well if my vision was ruined by an elective surgery. Thus, I wanted to give my positive perspective and honest feedback as I think it matters.

I am disappointed. I was assured I would improve greatly and would not ever need glasses or contacts. Weeks after I had the surgery, my right eye got blurry almost the same as before the surgery. I went back to Sims for my follow up check up. He provided me with a contact lens to HELP correct the blurriness. Month after month for 11 months I went back and got a new lens.

On the 12th month, the receptionist wanted to charge me for a new consultation fee of $250.00. Any future treatment would be a new tab. Over the last 5 years, , my right eye has become less clearer than before. Sims ride on the machine is expensive with poor results and fell short on his assurances.
