In the past 8 years, Providence Memorial Campus has quickly become my second home. In 2013, I was diagnosed with leukemia and I was immediately admitted to their pediatric oncology unit known as Jungleville. My oncologist is Dr Roberto Canales. When it comes to his team in Jungleville, they are God sent. Many have moved away but the ones left that are the best nurses that I have ever had are Lulu and Jaime. I don't know what I would have done without them during my treatment. Thank you Jungleville nurses for everything

Talk about a badly run hospital, nurses never seem to know what is going on, they say they are going to find and they never do. Everybody has an attitude when you ask a question. This place has gone way down

I went to the ER with my husband who was having abdominal pain. Not only were we treated like human beings but we were constantly being updated. Our nurse Armando who was nurse was constantly giving us education and feedback. Mr Torres was very patient with us and even the charge nurse Iva would check on us made sure everything was okay and my husband wasn't in pain.

We understand we had to wait hours for his tests and we had to take our kids but Iva brought coloring books for our kids. Mr Torres aplolgized for the wait and explained that sometimes those take the longest my kids were fed and we we were happy. I don't understand why People complain about waiting and the staff. We could here the other people next door being demanding and ugly with the nurses and the help.

People need to understand that no matter where u go you will wait anywhere. Our experience was by far the best ever. Kudos to the ER because it was crazy that day and all of you handled it well. Thank you. And thank you mr Torres Armando and Iva for treating us like humans and not like a number.

Providence Hospital has a giant problem with their care of their patients. There are a number of the employees Who and often Do not follow what are usually simple rules of function in their duties. When that occurs often the customers done grave disservice him with the resulted in some instances can be horribly horribly destructive in their lives.

At the moment I am currently a patient at Providence on Oregon and have been here for a week and a half. I have a great deal of experience with hospitals going back some 30 years when their age epidemic was so heavily among us. These problems didn't start 30 years ago probably many more years ago than that and you're running into it now with the corporate structure.

It continues to be difficult for not only their customers the patients and their families it's also very frustrating for those who care for them positions the staff that worked so hard. Unfortunately because these instances are very common in their structure employees staff are spending about 10% of their time if not more trying to not only fix what has occurred while providing no solution for the problem essentially they don't have time to deal with the issues. Saturday evening I was taken down to have a test which was to take some 30 minutes. Sadly enough I was taken down for the test with no oxygen! today is Wednesday and I have not yet to be told what has been done to address the situation management simply has not bothered and in fact avoids me so that they don't have to admit they have a problem I speak to management tell them the story they say they're going to do something and then they never return to my room to discuss it with me not once voluntarily.

I have a solution for them and his is of the simplest of all policies that they should have for operations. I say that as part of their policy When in the error such as this occurs The employee who allowed this to happen or even management staff should go to the patient and apologize directly apologize unrequested by the patient. The air is acknowledged by management and staff and come for tea provided by the apology says the situation with the understanding that it won't hurt again.

The problem is management doesn't want to do anything staff says they're not listening to us anyway every staff member who has heard of this plan has been hardened except they're afraid to go in front of management and declare this as the plan mostly they don't have time to deal with it and if they bring it up there going to be ignored stop it stop it now That apology means staff won't half to spend so much time trying to fix it since the problem has been acknowledged and responsibility has been taken.

Do you not have staff who have the time to go do their other job they're not cleaning up the crap caused by what an employee who won't follow policy what the hell more simple can beat that be it can't stop punishing the customer stop lying to the customer stop denying there's problems fix it with an apology MoveOn and enforce your own policies make the employee participating responsible for their conduct.

I am 74 years old I am now going to have to go on oxygen for the rest of my life not for smoking reasons but because of medical reasons and I'm going to spend a good part of those days going to this hospital every day that I can and talking to staff and talking to customers and we're going to fix this system come participate please! Next step will be FaceTime and will probably go with the title fix my hospital check it out when you get some time let's fix this hospital Please excuse the errors in this post I'm a sick man but I don't want anymore people hurt with love Terry Call.

Just wanted to post a quick update. I was able to speak with the CFO of the Hospital - He took my information and stated he would look into my concerns. He was able to identify all of the concerns I had through the billing process and explained what had happened. It turned out to be a training issue which has been corrected and will hopefully not occur again down the road.

I wanted to express my thanks to the hospital's CFO for being so attentive and getting to the root of the concern in less than a day. I am still a believer that everyone should check there bills regardless of where its from, but in this case my concerns have been completely addressed and to my satisfaction. Thank you for your help.

This is a TERRIBLE emergency room to go to. I've been to level 1 trauma ers that are having severe crisis going on and not been made to wait so long. I was there, in the patient room, for 2 hours before the doctor came in to do absolutely nothing. Then FINALLY we were getting some attention and then it was shift change. I would rather saw off my arm then come back!

This is going on hour 4 and I am no close to going home! Update: not only did the service suck and waste my time now I'm stuck with dealing with my insurance company because of a bill that came to me instead of them. Definitely give this place a -5 stars!

I couldn't help but notice the low ratings on this hospital. My experience was much different, though i did not go to the ER. From before surgery to wheeling me outside to the car, all of the employees made me feel at home. I stayed overnight and had someone come in approx every hour, but i felt safe and looked after. The nurses made sure to introduce and identify themselves when they came in.

Everyone was pleasant and sweet - i interacted with 15-20 people during my trip there. This hospital is very large and it can be easy to get lost in, luckily there are several people around to help. The doctors or workers will often ask if you need help finding out where to go. Very thankful for my positive experience here. Would recommend.

I came here to deliver my daughter, and it was recommended that I fill out my paperwork beforehand. The preregistration took less than 15 minutes, and I was given my hospital band for my delivery date about a month early. I was nervous I would lose it, but I'm sure they would've given me a new one had I misplaced it. On the day of my delivery, I still had some paperwork to sign, but it was convenient to not have extra forms to worry about.

Everybody I met from Labor and Delivery to my post-delivery care was really nice and helpful. A special shout out needs to be made to my nurses, Dana and Erin, who went above and beyond their duties and really took the time to help my daughter and me feel more comfortable. A couple annoying things happened, such as a fire drill in the middle of the night (we stayed in our rooms.

I think it was more for practice for the night staff), and one of my techs came in the middle of the night to check my vitals and assumed I spoke Spanish - I definitely do not at all. I understand the staff has to do their job and get their measurements, but it would've been nice if they came in quietly and did what they needed to do without talking at full volume and trying to have a conversation. Waiting to be discharged took longer than expected since the nurse started my paperwork several hours prior to leaving.

Terrible hospital. One of the worst I seen here in El Paso. Came with my wife cause my 9 month daughter had a fever so we took to er. The doctor was very rough to our daughter they checked her x ray and And took forever to do that while she was screaming her head off for them to find out they didn't turn it on. We came back 3 days later cause the medicine they gave us wasn't working well enough.

This second time was a little better due to a different doctor checked her the same way but wasn't as bad but asked for a blood sample. The lady and her assistant didn't know what they were doing cause they poked her 5 time and took 40 minutes to get her blood drawn.

My husband was transferred there for imaging. The "specialist" was to review his test within 24 hours. It was almost 3 days. He couldn't feed himself and they brought his food at 6 but didn't bother to feed him until 10. He was in pain with several items they had attached to him. I was on the phone with him when he called the nurse for help to adjust. 30 minutes went by before anyone came (he called twice).

He said one day in particular was very bad. Being ignored and he isn't the type to want help. He would rather do for himself but was unable to. I talked to an administrator and he did act like he would try to correct the problems. We will hopefully be gone by then.

Wondering if anyone else has had the following problem at Providence Memorial West. My girlfriend had surgery August 2015 and right after recovery the transporter started hitting on her. He touched her in the elevator and we complained to risk management. We wanted to see video but they claim it doesn't exist. We filed a police record and if you had the same issue please post it. RISK Management is just a an Avenue for Hospitals to ignore complaints.

My complain is about their billing methods. My wife is about to deliver our son anytime now. We went there on Sunday because she wasn't feeling the baby move. After all the paperwork, which is kind of absurd considering she pre-registered, we were taken into a room where they monitored both baby and mother. Everything was fine and the nurse, Connie, was excellent: very knowledgeable and caring.

No complains up to this part. On Tuesday Faby Scheefer start calling my wife "to make a payment plan". We have BC&BS insurance, and.we are responsible for 20% of the bill, which are more than willing to pay. They haven't send her the bill yet, she is about to deliver the baby, and "Fabi" is aggressively calling to make a payment plan?! I know the health care industry is for profit but Providence Memorial behavior is more in line with Mr. Scroodge or collection agencies than with health care providers.

The insurance will pay them and so will we, it is the timing and the pushy strategy what we considered the worst part of the experience. My wife got a nervous breakdown because she is in the last weeks of pregnancy and she feels.she might have not the best care if we don't pay right away. I have been trying to calm her but at this point we are seriously considering having our baby at Las Palmas.

Gave birth to my daughter here last month, only to see in the news one of the employees has active TB and exposed over 700 infants around the time I had her. Supposed to wait for a call or letter to see if my daughter needs to go in for a screening. I'm beyond furious by this negligence! If anything is wrong there will be a lawsuit. Somebody needs to lose their job! You are apparently safer at las palmas right next door, no TB outbreak there!

If I could give zero stars I would. Next time I am feeling violently ill, I will take my chances and stay home.

Good luck to anyone who gets Dr. Montelongo in the emergency department. Guess what? He doesn't have time to explain a condition, time to discuss treatment, time to give a shit. Oh but he'll prescribe an antibiotic.for a ruptured hernia.
