I've had three procedures done in the past 3 months at this hospital. Every time was a wonderful experience. Receptionist, the nurses, the anesthesiologist we're all wonderful, nice, and courteous.

First experience had a severe headache for weeks. Went to their er all they did was give meds for a headache. Turns out it was a stroke. A year later wasn't feeling well, dizzy, blurred vision, lightheaded and wasn't alert enough to drive. Called their er they came to my home. Informed me they couldn't take me to the hospital because my two year old was with me. Emts left and I feel unconscious shortly after. I was having a seizure. Was in an induced coma for 4 days on life support at duke. Now I have regular seizures from the stroke.

I went here on an ambulance because I was having chest pains and body aches accompanied by a fever. The ambulance workers were phenomenal by the way. When I arrived at the hospital the staff were all super nice and that's why the rating is 4 stars because they really do have wonderful workers and the doctor is super friendly. The only issues I had was when I came in there was blood still on the floor beside the bed, they had to fix the mistake they made on the paperwork that was made when the paramedics called them because they had the wrong name (again not the nurses or doctors fault), and they took my temperature and seen that it was almost 104 and left me for around 45 minutes but I was having the worst body aches so I had to call them to please bring me something for my fever to drop.

They brought something like 5 minutes later and sent me home immediately after saying it was Covid but it hasn't had time to show on the test and to fight it at home with Tylenol. Also, I understand they are busy and they have a super hard job. I appreciate what they do and their efforts to help. Thank you to all the health care providers during this pandemic!

Let's just say I have no respect for none of the faculty there at the hospital. Also if you desire to keep any of your medical issues secret don't go here. I told the staff countless times that my son was unaware of my heath issues and I under no circumstances wanted any of my medical issues disclosed to any one and I meant anyone. Not only did they disclose all my medical issues they tried to get my sons wife to abs her exact words were she needed to break into the safe and do whatever she needed to do to get my meds because they needed it since their pharmacy wasn't open until the next day.

So they not only disclosed all my medical issues to a family member they tried to get them to break into my personal safe. I have it all recorded on voice mail sad part is under the federal law I can't sue them for Hipaa violations. Lucky for me I can sue them for Breaching my privacy. Which after the holidays I plan on filing a lawsuit against them for what they done. I'm just hoping I can find a lawyer that will take my case. Seems like everyone is scared to take on a hospital.

Took my daughter there Tuesday because her covid symptoms were getting worse and she was having difficulty breathing. Her o2 sat was low, and they sent her home, saying everything was fine. The doctor wouldn't even step foot inside the room. He never listened to her lungs or anything. Fast-ward to Thursday my daughter is no better and had a coughing episode where she turned blue.

I rushed her back to Person only because I was worried she wouldn't make it to Duke. I told the nurse her lips and nail beds were blue and after waiting n our car for 15 mins I went back in and expressed that her lips were blue and they told me they would get her in a bit. So we left and rushed her to Duke where we still are because she has covid pneumonia (Person told us she definitely didn't). I give them 1 star only because I can't give them zero.

I was seen on saturday for wounds sustained by a dog bite. It was not the level of professionalism or patient care that earned the 3 star review. In fact it was what kept it from being a 1 star review. Most of my adult life I have designed, Built, Rebuilt and overseen the improvement of medical facilities to and above Accreditation requirements. Just in my short visit I see this facility would not meet the criteria of basic scrutiny placed upon an accreditation inspection.

In fact would warrant probationary results if it were to happen today. Experience knowledge and leadership are needed at this facility. I call on any local talent that needs a position in the medical field and especially building maintenance to contact the Person County Hospital Recruitment staff and step up to make our community hospital one worth going to.

Our community is larger than they know it's just most cases go straight to Durham or Raleigh. A good turn around on this could change that and improve the funding that this facility sees and desperately needs.

Normally i would put 5 stars because in the past this hospital really took great care of me, however, this time i went on the 24th of August 2021, I went with a massive UTI going into my kidneys, I know that because of my most wonderful primary Molly Evans. when i went to person memorial the night before i did my primary I saw Dr Chretien, John and he basically said nothing is wrong with me to go home, he didn't even exam me, all they did was a urine and told me nothing was wrong.if i would have listened I could have gotten sicker and could have became septic and died. he is worthless!

I also told him that i was having bad back pain and he never took blood to rule out a kidney infection also told him that in my past i had a brain aneurysm and on the way to the hospital I lost a couple of seconds of memory WHILE DRIVING and he still did NOTHING! Im sure this incompetent MD ( MD is used loosely) has been sued a time or 2, if anything badly would have happened to me, bet your behind it would have happened AGAIN!
