Dr. Chance Finley was born in Abilene to Kent and Carla Wright Finley who both attended high school here. He graduated from Midland Lee High School and from McMurry University. He continued his education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006.
I've been practicing dentistry for more than 40 years and truly love what I do. I look forward to coming into the clinic on Monday morning; I know I'm going to have a day filled with fascinating conversations and happy smiles. Personally and professionally, I'm passionate about people who want to improve their lives.

Seriously, what an amazing experience! I brought my mom here (who is terrified of any and all dental treatment due to past experiences), and she left with a newfound outlook on dentistry. Dr. Runyan was so kind and patient during the consult. Melissa presented a detailed treatment plan and was so sweet in explaining each procedure in detail, and even though my mom was nervous, she calmed her fears by assuring her that she was in great hands. My mom gave her a hug and she knew she was in the right place. Just WOW! I highly recommend this office, and our entire family will be switching here as well. A+++++

My son and I had our first visit yesterday and it was a pleasant experience. Our appointments started on time. Since it was our first time here, it was a longer appointment due to x-rays. So, budget your time for about 90 minutes if it's your first time. I was told appointments will go much faster moving forward. Shelby was our dental hygienist, and she was GREAT.
She explained everything she was doing, was friendly, and gave a thorough cleaning without any discomfort. Dr. Proctor was very friendly, too. Compared to Abilene Pediatric Dental Associates, where we went prior with my son, Southwest Dental was much friendlier, hands-on, and provided more information. The only downside we experienced: the x-rays at Southwest Dental aren't small enough for little kids, so we will need to wait for our son to grow a bit more before he can have x-rays done. We will be back in 6 months!

Such a wonderful experience! Dr. Finley was so gentle and his dental assistant Ashley was extremely caring. 10 out of 10 would recommend Southwest Dental Group, especially Dr. Finley and Ashley! Dr. Proctor and his team are absolutely fantastic. They go above and beyond in every aspect of your visit.
