As a result of aging or injury, the cartilage in our joints can break down. This results in a condition called arthritis. Arthritic joints become very stiff and painful. After all conservative treatment has been exhausted, some patients may be a candidate for joint replacement. During this procedure, the orthopedic surgeon removes the damaged cartilage and bone and replaces it with a prosthesis.

What a wonderful experience, even though we were dealing with pain and injury. My wife broke her knee cap, Dr. Luc Tuerlings is her Orthopedic surgeon. From the first notification of the accident until recuperating from surgery, Dr. Tuerlings and his staff were absolutely the best you could imagine. Clear and concise description of the problem, solution and resolution. the staff was pleasant and accommodating. appointment on time with no waiting, completing the paperwork and insurance verification quickly and efficiently. Dr. Tuerlings described in detail the procedure, clear with instructions and detailed recovery plan.
The surgery was performed on time and expertly. He followed up a few hours later to check on the progress. Next day the dressing was removed. He guided us through managing the injury and scheduled a prompt for follow up for the completion of the procedure. We are thankful to Dr. Tuerlings and his staff for making a difficult situation tolerable and successful.

After spending almost $200 to see the doctor, he didn't ask me anything. He wasn't able to view my MRI taken at Health First and because I'm Diabetic assumed I had a frozen shoulder. I've never been immobile since the injury but had Dr. el Kommos asked me anything he would have known that. I left there with none of my questions answered and in more pain than when I got there.
His nurse was rude from the get go and when I told her I had more questions I was told I could ask when I came back after my 8 weeks of physical therapy for a follow up for which I have to shell out another $200 since I don't have insurance. What a joke and a waste of time and money. I have seen him before and he was great but what a difference 10 years makes.
Never again. Now I have to pay to see someone else so I can get a proper diagnosis and get my questions answered since they couldn't be bothered to do anything but waste my time and money! Such a shame and they are supposed to be the best in the business! What a crock. I'll let my should fall off before I go back there.

My husband broke his ankle and they were the sweetest people to him. After his surgery everything went down hill. The wait time gets longer and the staff get ruder. The receptionist Charles and Nadine who works in psychical therapy were the only ones to show compassion. Today is the last time I come with him to this practice. I hope your experience is better than ours.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Robert Sedaros and a i am so glad i did. I had to have a total hip replacement and he made a new women out of me. My hip has healed up so nicely and my pain is gone. I only had to use a walker for the first week and then i walked with no help at all. Went back for my check up and had x ray done and my hip is perfect.
I would choose Dr, Sedaros if i ever have any problems in my future. I rate Dr. Sedaros as a fine professional Dr.and i would recommend him to the highest level of his profession.

As a former employee I have recommended this practice to several good friends. All have had nothing less than miraculous treatment. I was and continue to be in awe if the superior surgical procedures these surgeons have preformed. Having been on the "front lines" I saw first hand nothing short of miracles on a daily basis. Can't end my post without a shout out to the PT dept. The best I've ever seen. I will continue to laud this practice. To go anywhere else would be a shame. P.S I miss working there!

I had a horrible experience at my visit. I was yelled at from across the room full of waiting patients that I was too early and would have to wait my turn. I simply had signed in and went and sat down. No one greeted me. I went to the desk to explain that I was legally blind and could not drive and had to depend on a car service and this was the only time he could work me into his schedule.
She did not respond to this. She thenclaimed I could not be seen because they had not received my paperwork and test results. This was not true. When I was called to go into a room, the nurse did not greet me but asked why I was being so rude and causing a ruckus. She fused at me and also said they had no records for me. She left the room. After a long time, the doctor came in and started fusing at me for making a scene.
I tried to explain but he was rude and interrupted me. He said he had all my records on his desk and that that was all that mattered. No one apologized for the rudeness or mistake. I will never go back to this place or this doctor. If available, I would rate a negative 10 star rating.

Doctor Helmy whom preformed my hip resurface back in 2007 has since retired. He was a very fine doctor. Nevertheless, I will never return to Space Coast Orthopedic center! It has been about 6 years since I have been in for any follow ups on my procedure. so I made an appointment to have a check up on my hip to make sure everything is good. The new doctor Sedaros is the worst, HE MADE FEEL VERY UN-WELCOME!
Like why am I even there, he doesn't have time to be bothered with me GET OUT! What a complete waist of time. Then he bills my insurance company for a 30min exam. He spoke with me for less then 2 mins. THE STAFF IS NOT MUCH BETTER!
