At times, it may produce a noisy whistling breathing pattern called "wheezing". The employees at this clinic are extremely inconsistent. I have been told different things each time I have talked to someone there. First, I called them to check if they had received my referral for my infant. A lady told me they hadn't and that they had a 6 month wait, but as soon as they would have the referral, that we could schedule an appointment.

The second time calling for if they had received the referral (which they hadn't), the lady who answered said as soon as they got the referral, we could schedule for 6 months out but that it would actually most likely be only a two week wait due to possible cancellations from other clients. The third time, I went in to physically hand them the referral in person and the lady at the front desk (my guess is the receptionist) was so confused that I was giving her a referral and had no clue what to do with it that she asked me if I wanted to keep the referral and take it home with me?

The SOLE reason I came there was to GIVE the referral to them. I had to tell her the reason I brought it in was because it had been 2 months since the pediatrician had sent the referral and they STILL had no referral on their end. I had to put matters into my own hands. She pretty much just shoo'ed me away and said she would hand it to her manager. Then, someone was able to help her, looked at my referral and then said, "Yeah you won't be seen for at least 6 months.

We will call you in 6 months to make an appointment". This has me SO confused. Prior to this lady, as I wrote earlier, I was told by the two other ladies that I could at least schedule an appointment as soon as they had the referral. I'm going to try calling again and hope I get someone who can help me properly. There is so much inconsistency here. I truly wish there was more than one allergy place in Spokane. I would not even hesitate to go to another place if there was one.

TLDR: This clinic is a mess sporting clueless employees, inconsistent treatments and an unprofessional ecosystem. I've been receiving allergy shots from this clinic for 3 years now. Thank GOODNESS there's finally a Valley location I can switch to. I'm in an undergraduate program out of state so when I'm down there my vials come with me so I can continue treatment.

The transition is horrendous, without fail, every time. They've sent the vials without protective packaging to land in the lap of my school's nurse shattered, they've sent them to the wrong address after checking with them twice to ensure it was correct. The nurses all seem to be on different policies. When I get my new vials, a nurse will try to start over my treatment or decrease my dose drastically until we get the doctor involved who has to correct them to continuing my treatment correctly.

If I have to call them for records they pass it off to my responsibility or fail to send them to me or my university's clinic until I call them and don't hang up until it's sent. The repeated laziness and lack of consistency is enough to deter me from their clinic let alone their lack of accountability. I used to LOVE their walk-in approach to allergy-shot appointments- but now I can't help but wonder if it's just an inability as staff to organize and a lazy cop-out.

Any time there is a difficulty on THEIR end in coordinating my treatment, getting new vials, setting up appointments or getting records- it takes ages to remedy. I've had three instances where nurses or the doctor himself have then also repeatedly verbally talked down to me about it being my fault. This last time I left on the verge of tears, who knew healthcare could be so cruel!

If you are in the area and this is the most convenient clinic for you- basic allergy shots and check-ups should be a breeze. HEAVEN FORBID, however, that there is any complication because it will be "your fault" and good luck getting it remedied.

Dr Kerry Drain is a brilliant, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable physician. She thinks outside of the box, which is especially beneficial for people like me, who have a plethora of confusing symptoms. I actually look forward to my appointments because of her amazing bedside manner. It truly feels like I am talking to a friend who truly cares. Due to my health issues, I have had to see many specialists. If there was an award for "#1 Physician", I believe Dr Kerry Drain deserves to be the recipient.

I am still kicking myself over my 18 month old's appointment. I shared my concerns about egg, gluten, and dairy intolerance which I knew would need blood work for as well as mentioning pet dander. Dr. England ordered the skin test for egg and pet dander completely disregarding my other concerns. I had to ask him to put in the order for blood work and when I asked if it was necessary to do the skin test if I was doing blood work anyways he said "I like to do both".

I wish I would of stood up for myself because my son was hysterical only to need to turn around and do blood work also. It was completely unnecessary. I would recommend going to an ENT rather than this clinic.

I have been coming to this clinic for a couple years now. Normally I don't write reviews but reading through the most recent I feel as if this clinic isn't done any justice. During my care with Spokane Allergy and Asthma I have received nothing but outstanding care, compassion, and respect. Dr. Doll listened to my concerns and has done everything to get me on the path of being able to deal with my asthma. Dr. Kernamen on the allergy shot side was nothing but awesome in my experience, personable, and very understanding throughout the cluster shot process.

The shot clinic MA's/Nurses are funny, kind, caring, personable, and do a hell of a job making you comfortable. Everything you would want from your allergy shot experience you can get here at Spokane Allergy and Asthma. This is a very busy clinic so I understand for some the wait times to get in, is not optimal but that is what happens when everyone wants to come to you for care.

I did not mind waiting the 3 months it took me to get in because since coming here my life has been so much better because of the treatment I receive. Navigating the landscape of the world of the past couple years has been hard on everyone. Approach the clinic staff with compassion and kindness and it is that you will receive. We need to be better humans even in the face of adversity. Spokane Allergy and Asthma is an awesome place to receive care and I would recommend it to everyone.

The shot clinic has gone downhill since the location changed. I don't know why, but it's less efficient with the same amount of nurses (2) than it's ever been and wait times are very inconvenient. I have come when the shot room was full and also when it was half-empty, and still have to wait what seems an unreasonable amount of time either way (one time 25 minutes) to even be called back to start the 30 minute shot process.

You would think with the pandemic the clinic would be motivated to move people in and out more swiftly. If we hadn't had faster service before at the old clinic location, I might not know any better. But I do and it was better previously. I might be less bothered if the clinic hours were more accommodating for work and school hours, but they aren't.

Please either speed up your call back process or increase your hours. People in general are annoyed. I wish we could change clinics-one of my family members goes somewhere else and he is in and out in 30 minutes. What a dream. It's especially hard to spend over an hour here when you're required to be here every 3-10 days.

I called to schedule a new patient appointment, I had called about 5 times over the past 2 days and couldn't get ahold of anyone. I waited patiently and finally got an answer. I called my insurance before I tried to schedule and they let me know per my plan I didn't need a referral to see this clinic. The lady that answered for scheduling was extremely rude.

She told me she didn't care what plan I had and that their office needed a referral for me to be seen. I told her okay and proceeded to get off the phone and she was so annoyed with me and hung up immediately. I have been looking forward to scheduling but I don't think I will even be reaching out again to be seen at this clinic. First impressions are everything and with a front office this rude I don't think this would have been a good experience.

My daughter has been getting allergy shots for about two and a half years. The medical care has been fine. The billing, however, has been atrocious. With allergy shots, there are frequent charges, sometimes weekly, always at least monthly. They seem to send charges to insurance at random, bill charges at random, and apply payments at random. For instance, I got a bill dated December 7, 2020, with 8 charges on it for dates between July 2 and October 29.

After literally hours of trying to understand the different charges and several phone calls with their billing department, it was determined that one had already been paid (so was an overcharge) and four were being billed prematurely as they had not been sent to insurance. Only three of the eight charges had been billed correctly. Sometimes I get a bill for, let's say, three service dates, and I pay it.

Then they rebill me for some or all of those service dates. When I call to say I already paid this, it turns out they applied my payment to other charges (for which I have not ever been billed), not the ones on the bill I was paying. Normally, I have no problems with medical bills. I get the bill, I pay it promptly, end of story. With Spokane Allergy, I have had to spend many, many hours trying to figure out their ridiculous billing system.
