We strive to provide our patients with safe, minimally invasive treatments that effectively relieve symptoms and preserve vision and overall eye health. As a comprehensive ophthalmology practice, our services include not only laser vision correction and small-incision cataract surgery but also treatments for a range of conditions such as glaucoma, the diabetic eye, dry eye and macular degeneration. Regular eye exams are a valuable tool to maintaining the health of your eyes by detecting and preventing disease.
Clear vision and healthy eyes are important not only to a child's overall health and well-being, but are also directly related to their academic performance in school. While vision screenings given at a child's school each year may identify children who are at risk for problems with their vision, vision screenings do not test the overall health of the child's eyes.
The cornea is a thin, clear, spherical layer of tissue on the surface of the eye that provides a window for light to pass through. In a healthy eye, the cornea bends or refracts light rays so they focus precisely on the retina in the back of the eye. There are many diseases that can affect the cornea, causing pain or loss of vision.

Dr. Pribis is the absolute best if you're nervous to try contacts/if you think you can't do it. She is so so nice, supportive, and encouraging. When I had a follow up appt after my first week of wearing them, I mentioned a concern I had and she actually listened to me and gave me a new brand of contacts and they ended up being perfect. Thank you so much, I would have never been able to put contacts in without you!

I couldn't be more pleased with this practice! Dr Prius was my go to for exams and contacts. Great patient care and very competent. When it was time for cataract surgery she referred me to Dr Schneider who was equally top notch. She is super competent and provides personalized care that is top shelf. I have perfect 20/20 vision with zero complications. Surgical center also extremely well run and professional. I'd still be a patient there except I relocated to NC. Seriously considering going back each year for follow ups.

Customer service is rude. Haven't seen a doctor yet so this review is not for the doctors. I think Stamford Ophthalmology should realize that no one calls the doctor's office for fun. They are already suffering. The last thing they need is for the person who picks up the phone to be rude. So please hire the right people to represent you. Or train them in basic courtesy. Called Stamford Opth because of excellent reviews of the doctors. Appointments are two months out unfortunately.

I've been a patient at Stamford Ophthalmology for 10 years. My primary doctor is Dr. Pribus. She's lovely, very patient, and very competent. Recently I had cataract surgery with Dr. Schneider. I felt comfortable and in the right hands as soon as I met her. She's very competent, really nice, and I couldn't be happier with the results. She is brilliant and so smart. I would recommend Stamford ophthalmology to anyone looking for a doctor or a surgeon.

Everyone I have had contact with at this practice has been very professional. They are well organized and everything runs very smoothly. I had cataract surgery by Dr. Lauren Schneider and I highly recommend her. After wearing contact lenses for more than 30 years, it is amazing to be able to see clearly and not even need reading glasses.

I was given Dr. Schneider's name to seek consult on an issue I was battling post cataract surgery. I had seen multiple doctors who couldn't give me a straight answer. After meeting with Dr. Schneider, I got the answer I was desperately seeking. Dr. Schneider took time to read my notes, reviewed past doctor records and most importantly, she listened!

She did a full evaluation and discussed her findings and recommendations. Not only did she give me answers, but took the time to explain on how she came to her conclusion. I am indebted to Dr. Schneider. She shows compassion and empathy. She is a very bright and talented ophthalmologist. I am so grateful I found an eye doctor who cares and invests time in her patients. I highly recommend her.

Warm and friendly; excellent eye care; one-stop for eye exam and getting eyeglass prescription filled. Wrenly has a good selection of frames and last year I bought a beautiful pair of Maui Jim sunglasses from him. Opthalmological assistant Alex was friendly and efficient. Dr. Schneider is so pleasant and has great "chair-side" manner. She really takes the time to listen to her patients.

Just had an eye exam this morning during the Covid-19 pandemic and very impressed with the safety protocols in place within the Opthalmology practice. Everything is cleaned constantly and social distancing procedures are strictly followed; staff was very good at communicating and doing so in a respectful manner. I felt very safe and protected. Cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Thanks Stamford Opthalmology!

I'm 65 and both eyes were showing signs of cataracts. Surgery was the answer. At the suggestion of Dr. Siderides I tried a new lens called Vivity Lenses which are meant to help me with distance as well as reading. My "readers" at the time were up to 2:50-2.75. Since the time of my 2 surgeries (performed 1 week apart in December 2021) I have not picked up a pair of reading glasses.

It is nearly magical. My distance is far improved and my at-an-arms-length reading is perfect. My follow up visit with Dr. Siderides confirmed I now have 20/20 vision. She is an amazing doctor with with excellent skills. My experience was A1. Thank you.

Had a great checkup with Dr. Pribis of Stamford Opthamology today. All COVID safety protocols are followed. Everyone, starting with the gentleman who took my temperature at the door, the receptionist (I think her name is Amaya) and Angela, the person who did the initial testing were professional and friendly. Dr. Pribis was great, and made me feel confident that my eyes were in the best of hands, so to speak. I give them all five stars!

The office staff is incompetent. If you want any kind of customer service go somewhere else. Highly disappointed. I could go on and on but I will not.

Can not say enough good things about Dr. Vietorisz, or this practice. I was able to get a same-day appointment when I first started having trouble seeing two months ago, and have had several appointments and a surgery since then. Every visit I am treated courteously and professionally by all the staff - receptionist, technicians, and the doctor (maybe they got a new receptionist since the last review in 2014?).

I have gotten in and out of the office in a timely manner each time. Your eyes are nothing to fool around with - don't settle for less than you deserve. I highly recommend this practice!

Called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude. To the point where i hung up. As a potential new patient, this is a huge red flag and i will bring my business elsewhere.

Very rude receptionist. Condensing comments under her breath. Doctor is fantastic though.

I was happy to get a timely appointment as a new patient. I arrived a few minutes early and I was able to start my exams prior to the scheduled appointment time. However, the notes that Dr. Wolf put on my record said (in quotes) that my vision was getting 'hazier' was inaccurate -- as I would not have said that. Also, I needed the results timely as part of a pre-job medical exam and it took several days and a reminder call for them to forward the information to my primary physician.

Horrible! Just horrible! NEVER! I mean NEVER go see this horrible practice again! 3 hour wait, staffs are rude. Doctor comes in and sees me for only 3 min after waiting for 3 hours! Then sends me home and wants me to come back in a week!? For what? Not ever going back!
