We recommend all men over 50 take a baby aspirin (81mg) at least weekly. This helps prevent heart attacks. Men should take a multivitamin. Since you don't need iron, a "silver" or no iron vitamin is fine. Some medicines interfere with absorption of vitamins. For that reason, I think the most reliable vitamin is a chewable vitamin, like Flinstones gummy-vites or Centrum Silver Chewables.
All menstruating (in other words, still having periods) Women should take a vitamin with iron, at least every few days. This can be 2 "Flintstone complete" vitamins or a chewable Centrum. The "Silver" vitamins don't have much iron. The "A-Z" vitamins don't all have iron, so please check your label.
Since Dr. Stiles is both an Internist and a Pediatrician, teens feel more comfortable in her office. The environment here is mixed and mature, not all "kid-like". Dr. Stiles can take care of most female problems and does 'Well Woman' exams in the office. A Well Woman exam includes a Pap Smear, Pelvic exam, and Breast Exam.
After hours, the office phone goes to a paging operator. Of course, if it is life-threatening please call 911 first! If you are having a significant problem you can call, and Dr. Stiles can direct you. If you must go to the Emergency Room, Dr. Stiles can call ahead for you. If you are admitted to the hospital, the ER doctor will usually call Dr. Stiles.

When you can meet with her, she is okay. Unfortunately, this seems to be getting more and more difficult. Waiting times are usually ridiculous: Expect to wait at least 30 minutes past appointment time to be seen by anybody; the longest I've been kept is over 90 minutes past appointment time. Recently, we were told that she--a pediatrician--cannot see my son in her office because he has a fever.

I understand that CoVID makes life difficult, but serial testing for CoVID with consistently negative results should have relieved at this one worry. And, honestly, what use is a pediatrician that refuses to see children in her office? I am sure she can adequately diagnose his illness over the phone without running a single test. Finally, getting prescription refills for a chronic condition seems like an impossible task at times.

Her office has often delayed prescriptions, even when prompted by both myself, the patient, as well as the pharmacy, and on more than one occasion, botched the prescription entirely (non-sensical or even non-existent dosing instructions). In short, be wary. If I weren't leaving Memphis within the year, I would be looking for a new pediatrician/GP right now.

I must share my gratitude to my friend who referred me to my PCP. Not only is Dr. Stiles brilliant in medicine, but she applies that knowledge & her experience when addressing symptoms. Her diagnoses have been correct, & she also knows when a referral to a Specialist is in order. When test results come back, she is adept @ closing the circle & explaining the relationship, plus the recommended medications / treatment plan & how they interact, including side effects.

I am Thankful that I have very minor issues, & have been disease-free & in good health. Dr. Stiles' thoughtful care + common sense applications help to keep it that way.
