Summit Obgyn

I had been a patient for the past 4 years without an issues. Today I called to schedule my annual appointment and the place is now permanently closed? No explanation at all. I haven't received any notice at all. I tried the site and there's no explanation neither.

Front desk Staff is unprofessional. Nice/nasties on the phone, sent the wrong prescription and still waiting 2 weeks now for the correct one, even after the doctor called me to say they would personally send themselves. They can't even take a message properly and tried to blame me for their mistake. Women go there for help that we PAY for. Thats NOT how a business should be run. F.u. if call me karen, this place is a no go.

Never had an experience with Dr Kamal but Denise was excellent. Front desk staff never listens to patients requests. I've asked them on multiple occasions to send all my labs to Quest, however for every appointment (even when I tell them before getting labs) they consistently sent elsewhere causing me to receive multiple bills that almost went into collections. Will be leaving this office since Denise is no longer working there

One of the worst front desk staff I have ever seen. Every time I go in the person in the front is either on their cell phone or talking about mon work related things causing me to wait until they are done with their unprofessionalism to be checked in. I called yesterday to get urgent information about a medication and was told by a front desk staff that I would get a call back that day.

I am at work today and just now received the call back which I was unable to answer. I had to call back in and ended up speaking with the rudest front desk person who cut me off as if I was talking to much when I started to tell her I never got a call back from a prior callback request. Liliana was extremely rude. I have a worked as an office manager in the past and know very well that Liliana would not be answering calls with that attitude and definitely would not be working with an attitude like that. Another reason I will make this follow up visit my final visit at summit. Very unprofessional staff.

I first went to this office when I moved to Hackensack many yrs ago, at the time Dr Kamal was a still a thriving practice with not many other providers other than herself. She even asked me info on hiring a provider since I am also a PA. As the office got busier I noticed a lack of empathy in different circumstances. I decided to leave the practice when I was starting my IVF journey and needed to have a polyp removed before I can start the process.

I called Dr Kamal and she informed me that it was going to be the beginning of Ramadan & she could not do procedures during that time, myself working with other surgeons that take part in Ramadan during that time and still scrubbing into cases with them, I didn't understand why it was different for her & why she could not do the procedure because it was vital to me starting my IVF cycle at that time.

I left the practice for two years after that and recently decided to go back just for a GYN annual exam. I had an appointment for 2:45 which I was late for but before I could say why I was late the PA said to the receptionist no I'm leaving, walked around the desk went upstairs got her belongings. I know that I was late but there were different professional ways this could've been handled like calling the patient prior (since I was her last appt)& informing me that if you can't make it by a certain time the provider has to leave or at least asking what we're my circumstances for being late when I got there instead of being very rude and stating she was leaving in my face (something I have never done to a pt in my 18yrs practicing).

The reimbursement for a GYN exam is not that big as it is for an OB patient so I'm sure I won't be missed but nevertheless I will never go back to this practice due to the lack of professionalism and lack of empathy to what other people may be going through.

I went to Summit as a first time patient, in which is was a horrible experience. Initially, I was examined by the NP who was very inexperienced and the examination was painful. Next Dr. Kamal entered and talk about me to the NP as if I was not there. Dr. Kamal completed the visit without asking if I had any questions, introducing herself or seeing if I had any question. I will never go back there and I wouldn't advise anyone to go. They were unprofessional, rude and had very poor customer service.

Dr. Roohi Kamal is an excellent doctor, just looking at her makes me happy and calm. She is full of positive vibes. She delivered my fist baby this July, She was nice enough to come in on a Sunday really late in the night to deliver my baby. I would go back to her again if i ever get pregnant in a heartbeat. I would totally recommend her to all the expecting moms, Dr. Kamal is the best. I did visit Dr. Denise during my weekly visits sometimes and she is very sweet too.

Wanted to follow up about my pap results, a few years later, but still relevant. I moved after this exam and had a baby in 2016. Only post baby did I find out from my obgyn I had an abnormal pap with precancerous cells. The pap records were sent to my obgyn who happened to mention it to me casually (as if I knew!) post-baby. Awful. I never like to say anything bad about anyone, but do not go here for gyn exams! They will make you feel worthless and put your health at risk.

I have been attending this office for 6 years and I never had an issue with Dr. Kamal or Dr. Denise always a pleasure every visit. This will be my 3rd child with Dr. Kamal and I have positive experiences each time. They make it so convenient by having the ultrasound technician right in the same office. 5 ' Stars!

My sister has been going to this place for years and was always seen by Dr. kamal and never had a problem, but today had the worse experience, she was seen by Dr Arundhati Vinod she was rude and dismissive, kept saying that she couldn't understand what my sister was saying and yelled at her multiple times to the point that she made her cry. The front desk staff wasn't very nice either. Going to the gynecologist is not a pleasant experience for the most part, specially if you have a problem; the last thing you need is someone being mean to you when you are half naked and vulnerable. This is the first time she is seen by Dr Arundhati Vinod and the last time. If you are thinking of this place. Make sure you dont get Dr. Vinod

Updated on Nov 28, 2017: Though my initial couple of visits were not pleasant experiences but since last couple of visits were satisfactory. Changing ratings from one star to 4 star. Hope to continue getting positive experience. PLS NOTE: Office Staffs are still the same. Poor Service! Hard to get appointment with Dr Roohi Kamal. Office Staffs are Rude.

In my first visit with Dr Kamal, they had us wait for an hour, not sure if office staffs informed Dr Kamal or not about our appointment and presence. Dr Kamal was good, she gave us positive experience when we met her. Second Appointment, met with her assistance while I as asked my wife appointment has been confirmed with Dr Kamal. Third appointment, they refused to give with Dr Kamal.

Office staffs are not supportive and do want want to talk. Office Staffs are not Professional, they are RUDE. Lookig for other option, will change the doctor/provider. Not sure, If Dr Roohi Kamal knows all this, hope she is reading this.

Awful service. Unable to schedule an appointment when needed. Then when you do schedule it, they call and change it. The ultrasound technician Sandra is very rude and because of that I will not be going back. Although some of the ladies are pleasant, the majority are not friendly even Komal. Another reason not to trust this business. I just received some bills stating that I was out of network.

How could this be when I'm checked and they "checked too"! I called the office today and asked Rosa if they accepted my insurance and she said Yes! but what they don't tell you, is that you're not in network. So they'll definitely bill you but won't be truthful about it. So now on top of having a baby, I know have $300-$400 bills I now have to pay. Thanks!

Run ladies do not go here. I went to this place after reading the reviews I was soooo wrong. I made my appointment on 5/2 saw the Doctors assistance (Denise) she provided me a pap. She hurt me and I am still feeling pain today with intermittent spotting. The office does not want to acknowledge their mistake. I stated over and over during the exam You Are Hurting Me.

Also they refused to fill out my paper work, to cover my visit with my employer, which is my sick note. They are truckulent and office not too clean, staff is abrasive, I also found them feeding me misinformation after speaking to my one time family doctor. I would have put 0 starts if I could run away ladies they will hurt you and possible your unborn featus. Still in pain due to this place.

Such a great clinic with highly skilled and professional Dr. Roohi komal with a very good team work.we r really very thankful for the services which is being provided to my wife during her nine months pregnancy till the baby birth in holy name hospital. On top of that the presence n support (as a family)of dr. Komal itself to the hospital at early 2.30 am during my wife's labor time within 10 minutes of phone call can't be forgettable.

I read the other reviews and I agree with the other negative ones. The visit was okay but when I had some problems with the medication I am taking, I left a message and two days later nobody has called me back though I was promised a call. Also, the answering service woman was a nasty witch. I cannot go back to a place run so poorly. Oh, and I was told when I called early in the afternoon (hours on line say open til 6:00 p.m.) that they ALL left for the day. I need an office that is run well and professionally.

Great place. Went here even with no insurance & they took me in with no issue. Love that they get me in & out in a timely fashion. I'd rather not spend 1/12 hours waiting around to be seen.

Not sure why the bad reviews. Ive been going for 3 years. Delivered my first child and about to deliver 2nd. Have had no bad experience here. Never wait too long, docs and nurses are pleasant and the ultrasound tech is good also.

I have been very very terribly disappointed with doctors service. Dr Kemal hadn't really answered my questions and always rushed me to get out of the room. Her service was abrupt and not considerate at all. Especially she was away when I delivered and really surprisingly I hadn't got ant notification about her absency. The most awful experience happened with the coverage doctor and I don't even know her name since she never introduced herself to me and when she examined my cervix she didn't inform me about how I was going to feel about that internal exam, she just shove her fingers.

That internal exam caused me horrible horrible pain and I couldn't deal with the pain and burst into tears and she just told me to relax since I was doing the procedure harder. After the exam I was very insulted but I told her patiently that it would've been nicer if she told me it was going to be that painful. And then she gave me diagusted look and ignored me and didn't say anything until I get out of the room.

I haven't been treated this much bad in my life especially in health care clinic. I am a doctor of physical therapy and I know how I need to treat my patients and these people are such a shame in this health care field and they really shouldn't work that way. Receptionist and PA were nice and friendly. I would never recommend this place to anybody and I would tell others to avoid this place if you don't wanna treated as if you are an animal.

I don't even know what to say. I found out that I was pregnant so I setup an appointment to meet with a doctor. First of all, the doctor pretty much doubted my pregnancy. Then I had my blood work done, I was told that the results would be back within two or three days. I waited for my results for THREE WEEKS. I called them almost everyday and they always said they still weren't there.

Then I finally called for the last time and spoke with one of the doctors, she said my results were in a while ago and that they tried calling me but I never picked up. I was FURIOUS. Someone was lying to me, either the doctor or the girls that pick up phone calls. The doctor also ended up telling me that my hormones were REALLY low and she prescribed me hormones - which my new doctor told me that I shouldn't take at all!

I don't know how they work in that office, but it's not right. Oh, and the girls that work in the front are SO rude! Not friendly at all. A month after my blood work, the office called me saying that they need to send me a prescription for a problem that I had. A MONTH AFTER MY APPOINTMENT! What if it was something serious. I wouldn't have known about it until a month after my appointment. The doctor that I am with now told me not to take the prescription either. I wouldn't recommend this OB GYN to anyone!

Dr. Vinod is awesome some of the staff is nice but one of the girls at the front desk was not friendly at all i felt like her customer service wasn't good she made the end of my visit somewhat satisfied she shouldn't be in the front if she's gonna seem like she doesn't like her job
