Good place. Dr. Strand is awesome. However the wait times here are ridiculous. They always over schedule. Just when you get some relief from finally being called back they take a couple pictures of your eyes, then put in in another waiting room in the back to wait some more, then finally call you to a room for the final wait. Plan on at least two hours past your appointment time for a visit. Should you get out before then, great.

My appointment was at 2:45. I was taken back almost immediately and there was no time wasted in getting tests started. Everything was explained clearly and I was offered an opportunity to ask questions several times. I was very impressed with the entire staff and how efficiently everything was done. I highly recommend them.

My wife was having trouble following a surgery. We were concerned it was an emergency situation. Dr Silvera took our call at 3 am and met us on a Sunday morning at the office to address the issue. Class act.

My only complaint is with one lady, whom I assume was a nurse. I had cataract surgery and a couple of days later had a very scary episode where I could hardly breath. In reading my paperwork from Talley's and also the possible side affects that accompanied the eye drops I was prescribed, they both said breathing difficulties could be a side affect.

On Talley's paperwork they said to call immediately if that happened, which I did. This woman said that it was impossible that that particular drop would cause that, it never had, and they put that warning on all drug labels. She failed to address the warning on Talley's paperwork. Not only was she rude and hateful, she was condescending and showed no compassion for a patient that had experienced something that was very scary.

She all but called me a liar. In my opinion, she has no business working in this field. As far as everyone else I have had contact with at Talley's and the Surgery Center, they have been top notch.

Although the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the last 3 visits, the wait has been over an hour to even get into a room. Then more time before being seen. Today was an emergency situation and it was relatively soon after lunch to be running over an hour behind. Treatment is great. Service needs some work.

The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable what they do. I have an emergency on my eye, call and they see me right away. Plenties of follow up visits to ensure my surgery went well. The facility is up to date with the latest equipment.

I live in another state but started having vision problems while visiting Evansville. I called the office and they were very helpful and supportive. They set me up for an appointment the next day and everyone was very thorough and courteous. This traveler was very grateful.

I took my Mother to the Iowa street location for an appointment that she was referred to and scheduled by West Side Eye Care, The lady that checked us in was nice and professional, then a lady came and got us to put some drops in her eye and do some testing, this lady was very unprofessional and had a poor attitude, she put drops in my Mother's eyes from 3 or 4 different bottles and did not bother to say what they were or what it was for, she then proceeded to touch a little tester on my mother's eyes with out even saying what she was doing or what it was for.

The staff were just walking around like they were lost or confused, or hated their job and didn't want to be there, I have never seen a doctor's office that was so unprofessional, you are suppose to explain to your patient what you are doing to them before you do it, you are suppose to make your patients feel welcomed and at ease. We were so uncomfortable with the whole experience we almost got up and walked out while waiting for the Dr. to come in. Whoever is running this place may need to be replaced. I highly do not reccomend this place. They treat you like an object and not a person. Do yourself a favor and go to a different company.

My optometrist referred me to the East Side Location after seeing an abnormality on my left eye. I wouldn't trust that doctor to water my plants while on vacation, much less laser my retinas. Seven different drops were put into my eyes, most of which were numbing drops that made it very hard to move my eyes and keep them open. The doctor used a metal lancet-like tool to pry my eyes open while he gave me harsh demands to "look right" and "look left" while blinding lights were shined in my eyes for fifteen straight minutes.

When I followed said directions I was told that I was not cooperating, so he pressed the lancet-like object forcefully onto my eyelid and told me that I do not know my lefts and rights. I am an adult with a degree. I know left from right. He then slammed the metal object onto his table and sat down across from me and told me in a fake sympethic tone that I would need laser surgery and he would like to do it that week.

Then sent me back to the waiting room to confirm that appointment. There will not be a second appointment. Why this person who spent ten years in school to help people would treat patients this way is beyond me. I was also told to take out my contacts with no sink to wash my hands. I left the building with no protective glasses after getting my pupils dilated.

I was not called before the appointment to be told that I would not be able to see for several hours after the exam. I was not even reminded of the exam. The staff members were cold, like the last place they wanted to be was at work that day. Honestly, if I worked for that man I would hate my job too. Please do your research and go somewhere else. I have never been more terrified in my life.
