In 1914 a group of Bellevue citizens looked to the future and envisioned a modern public hospital that would allow the people of the community to receive their medical care locally. Founded on the philosophy of providing contemporary medicine with hometown caring, the hospital continues the tradition today. The personal touch of Caring for our Community is a Bellevue Hospital trademark.

The original building had 24 beds and 9 bassinets for newborns. The hospital continued to grow and add space as the population increased and the hospital expanded health care services.

Terrible hospital. Went in twice for severe kidney pain recently. Both times I was treated terribly. Kept telling me nothing was wrong. Went to Fisher Titus in Norwalk the very next day because the pain was unbearable, come to find out I had a kidney stone. Bellevue hospital did no blood work, no scans, absolutely nothing to help me.left me thrashing around in pain and ignored my cries for help. Incompetent hospital.

If I could rate zero stars I would. Some of the doctors on night shift should not be working there. If you need help, do not go to Bellevue hospital. The drive to Fisher Titus will be worth it I promise.

Only hospital I come too. They have saved my life multiple times. And took care of me during a D&D. My OBGYN Dr. Fazio is one of the most caring doctors ever.

I begged my good friend to go to the hospital after his fever broke 106 to go to the hospital. He promised to go if it got that high again and when he did, he was told he was LYING. What a shame. Have some professionalism or find a different profession.

I will drive to Firelands from now on! I was treated like a liar and I didn't know what I was talking about because, I had surgery and it was about 6 weeks later it turned into an infection. Ended up admitted and prepped for surgery because I wouldn't stop til they called my surgeon! This place has become horrible in the past couple years

Seen you a couple times, not just for myself, my 2 eldest were born there. I came to you because at the time Promedica misdiagnosed me. I didn't want meds i wanted to know what was causing the pains to begin with. You figured it out in a matter of minutes. Pinched nerve. Your staff is friendly and your doctors are sometimes wizards. So keep it up so that when i come to Ohio again i have a place to go in an emergency.

I am extremely appalled by the actions and lack of actions taken by the ER doctor. My daughter was in extreme pain and agony dealing with Covid for 3rd week. After convincing her, Bellevue Hospital and staff cared about their patients and would help her.she went. Next thing I know she's calling me hysterical cause the Dr. Refuse to check her out.said he was vaccinated but didn't want to be in the room with her and catch what she has.

He said she didn't qualify for an xray or cat scan. Let me tell you she had burning sensation in chest and head with the feeling someone shoved a screwdriver in her ear. This Dr. Never listened to her chest or looked at her ear. She had been dizzy and confused in and out for days but. Dr. said she's fine and nurse was kind enough to say well if you've had chest pain going on 3wks.it should be over soon. This is ridiculous.how can you treat someo e like this and why? Pray nothing bad happens to my child.

Ended up in the ER in January and have been in and out for the past few months. The lab staff is amazing. Especially the phlebotomist, she's drawn my blood twice and both times have been quick and painless. The Surgery level has very friendly and understanding :

I have gone in multiple time for blood tests, x-rays, and recently went in for a lithotripsy. Everyone from intake to nursing staff etc, have been wonderful! The only small complaint I have would be with the anesthesia person that assisted during my recent procedure, as he was putting the mask over my face in the OR he said "this is just oxygen, it smells funny because of the plastic in the new mask" - seriously? I'm 55, I've been aestheticized before, dont treat me like a child. Otherwise, all my experiences have been very positive!
