The good part: Dr. Julian Venegas is an excellent doctor. The bad (or worst) part: They don't use the right billing code, despite you telling them explicitly. It is almost as if they wanted to milk as much amount of money from you as possible. During my last wellness follow up visit, when I asked if I could pay later or online (after consulting with my insurance), the person at the billing area insisted I must pay then and there or they would send to collection. I wish if I could continue to consult good doctors without going through terrible experiences like this.

Made an appointment for an acute care visit in which I had to wait 2 hours in my car before being seen by a nurse practitioner. An absolutely unacceptable wait time to have when having made an appointment. The NP was very impersonable, did not explain test results or diagnosis. Saw me for a brief moment before leaving after saying she prescribed me "some things" to help me feel better. Medications were not specified or explained. Overall very disappointing.

Went here for a scheduled visit and waited, watching others who entered after me being called while I waited. I get up to ask what's going on and was told it would be a few more minutes. As I'm being told that, others who came in after me are being called to the back. Maybe it's the doctors fault but I don't care. My time is valuable and I should've been paid their $25 missing a scheduled appointment fee since I definitely missed mine due to no fault of my own.

I have been seeing the doctors here for many years and think they are fine, especially Dr. Wallace at the Winchester location. At some point I lost my health insurance through my job and had to pay out of pocket, which was ok with the billing staff. I recently obtained health insurance through the marketplace and scheduled an appointment, I chose BCBS because they had been my company in the past.

The office staff called the next day to verify and update my information. 30 mins later someone from the office called me back to tell me they would not accept my Blue Cross/Shield insurance because I got it from the marketplace and not through from an employer, ,, What? I called BCBS to verify that they were a provider and they followed up and asked to speak to the billing person who I won't name at the moment.

The BCBS rep questioned her about their practices of denying service to marketplace patients but got no reasonable explanation. I agree that they make up their insurance acceptance practices as they go. I wonder how many patients have been turned away because of this practice. I will continue to follow up on this ridiculous practice. I wonder if the physicians there are aware of what their staff are telling the patients who are trying to make appointment?

I have been a patient here since the very first time it opened for service. Family Physicians Group continues to be a place of healing and help to those that enter. Particularly, I am thankful for the service and care of Dr. Michael Wallace and the staff that support him. Thank you for serving my family and I for all of these many years.

I have recently established care with one of the providers at this clinic and there is an elderly women that is VERY unprofessional and dressed inappropriately for being the first face and representing a company. I came into the clinic to a schedule an appointment and she acknowledged me and said someone would call me back up. I waited for a long time and another receptionist acknowledged me and asked me if I have been helped.

I told her I gave my form to that lady and she would call me back up. The other receptionist asked her where my form was and the other lady couldn't find it. The second lady was very apologetic and made sure everything was taken care of and she was able to get me an appointment while I was there. She was very presentable and professional and got me back in no time.

I have never been in a clinic or hospital where the kind of clothing she was wearing was allowed. I went back and the doctor was wonderful. During my checkout that First Lady took a personal call and was arguing while I was waiting in front of her station. The lady that made sure I was taken care of was not there but a younger lady acknowledged me and took care and I was out quickly.

I truly appreciate the care I got but my first experience was horrible. I tried to ask some questions and was just brushed off. Unfortunately I will have to rethink about returning. I also work in the medical field and I can never imagine treating any patients like I was treated. I truly appreciate the two other ladies, nurse and doctor for the excellent/professional service and care.

I asked one of the nurses if she was maybe new and they said no she has been her for awhile. I was shocked they also told me the other two ladies were quite new. Thank you again for the others that turned my bad experience to being very attentive.

I have no complaints against the actual care, but I took my two sons to get annual checkups and physical forms filled out for sports and will look for somewhere else to take them next time. Firstly, they take 2-3 days to fill out a pretty simple 2 page form that should take 10 minutes. Of course they accidentally shredded my first set of forms so I had to bring more over. 2 weeks later they finally have one of my sons forms filled out.

With my other son, the doctor had some concerns, so we went to a specialist got the required to tests to get an all-clear on the form, but I had to call the specialist to have them re-fax over the information to BMG.they couldn't find the originals that were sent. I had to talk with a nurse for two days before they could find the forms that were faxed a second time and then wait for the Dr to be back in office before I could get the form filled out.

All in all a 4 1/2 week process, taking 2 weeks longer than when the specialist appointment was. To top it off I was charged $25 for these forms that I had to fight to get signed. Seriously?! It's just a signature and checking a couple of boxes! I don't know why filling out a front and back form is such a time intensive, costly procedure. As I said, I am finding a different doctor's office.

Visited BMG Winchester recently. I have been to many hospitals in US but this is the worst of all. They dont know anything about insurance and they are making their own policies for bill payment. 1. Staff is so rude and they are not even bothering about patient condition and they want only money. 2. Forced me to pay full bill amount. Even though I have Insurance and they make me wait for almost 1 hour.

As I have insurance from my employer, provider has to send bill to insurance company and I have right to pay through my insurance. Clarified the same many times and they are not even interested to reply back. They are repeating the same thing 'As I am a new patient I need to pay full payment while leaving the office'. Never faced this kind of issue any where.

No Hospitals has this kind of policy and it is not mentioned any where. 3. Doctor suggested diet plan for my recovery and he told I will be getting printouts at front desk. They did not provide any documents. 4. Called on the same day and raised complaint. The operator said I am going to get call for all my concerns ASAP. Did not get any call yet. Every one wants to go hospital for good treatment and Doctor guidance to come out of illness. Nothing is taken care here.

I LOVE my doctor at BMG. He gets 5+ stars! I began seeing my doctor at the Winchester clinic, but after multiple issues, decided (at doctor's recommendation) to see him in Collierville instead. The administrative staff needs some serious retraining. The front desk receptionists are not friendly or efficient. I waited over 2 hours past my appointment time for a 15 minute followup visit with my doctor.

I went up to the desk every 20 minutes or so to see if the doctor was running late. They pretended to call the nurse to see when I would be called back. Each time I inquired, was told the nurse was on her way to get me. When I was finally taken back to an exam room, both the nurse and doctor apologized profusely and told me the receptionist did not put my chart out and they thought I had forgotten my appointment, not realizing I had been waiting to see them for over 2 hours.

The nurse indicated the receptionist had not called her to see when I would be taken to an exam room. Three times now, when I checked in, the first thing they did was tell me there is an amount past due on my account. The first time, I had not yet received a bill. The second and third times, full payments had been made, were not late, and had even cleared the bank.

They made me feel like a deadbeat and embarrassed me in front of all the people in the waiting room who could hear the entire conversation. I have left that clinic in tears more than once. I have to pick up a handwritten prescription every month as well and have yet to be greeted with a friendly hello. I usually get a short, unfriendly, "What do you need?" Go to BMG in Collierville or some other location.

I am a pleasant, friendly, and understanding person and a compliant patient, but when I leave a place in tears because of poor service or rude staff, I want to warn others. Again, my doctor is fantastic which is the only reason I keep going back.

I first started going to FPGM at the Perkins Ext location when they first opened several years ago. We had amazing experiences in the beginning and the doctor or NP we saw were very attentive. Not to mention the process was pretty fast. As time went on the experience became less and less what it originally was and we always felt rushed. Present day, after years of going to the same place for medication refills, my appointment was cancelled and I was told I could not be seen.

Basically my insurance switched to limited which they advised did not cover everything possibly needed. I offered to pay out of pocket and Carol advised this would be fraud knowing I already have insurance. Which made absolutely no sense. What doctors office wouldn't love to have cash and everything paid up front? After many consults with the insurance company and even talking to other doctors, what I was told by Carol was absolutely false.

Basically my appointment was cancelled just because? I still have no clue, but I will never go back and make sure to let people know to steer clear. Something is really not correct with this whole scenario and it sounds like Carol needs to be trained again in the laws of heath care.
