Dr. Myer performed my cataract surgery and I can not say enough good things about him. Every step was explained to me and I was told what to expect after each surgery. I was impressed with the staff, I found them to be extremely professional and couldn't be happier with the end result. I would highly recommend tomoka eye associates based on my experience.

Wonderful doctor and staff. You can't say that about many doctor's offices. In the midst of the Pandemic, they are working like a well oiled machine. Everyone is very friendly and the doctor (I saw Dr. Kennedy) is very nice! I was informed prior to coming in that the wait would be long and expected it because of the Pandemic, but they said that it was normal to have to wait.

And that tells me one thing, that they are GOOD and everyone wants to go there. Had an extremely thorough exam. Have never been to an Ophthamalogist before, so I didn't know what to expect. Was quite impressed with the whole process. Realizing that things aren't "normal", I was very pleased with how well they handled the busyness of the office. The facility is very clean and larger than I imagined (OB) and I was told that the PC facility is even larger. I would highly recommend Tomoka Eye Associates.

Customer service was great. I was instantly greeted at the door. They were very sanitary and prepared during this pandemic. They took me in early, the nurses name megan was charming and professional. I barely had to wait a long time. The doctor answered all my questions as well interested in my well being and saving money. Thanks

While the tech was nice as was the doctor, please warn someone when you are going to dilate their eyes or them a choice if they want it done. I drove myself there and it was difficult driving home and then working on a computer for the remainder of the day. Most other offices let you decide.

I made an appointment in April 2021. I was told they would send all the paperwork including medical history to me to fill out and I was to mail it back or bring into the office at appointment. A week before my appointment I received a call from Tomoka Eye requesting I give them all my medical history over the phone at that time. I said they were sending me the form to fill out and bring with me to appointment.

The clerk said "we can do it over the phone instead". I interrupted my work and answered all the medical history questions on the phone. I then received the forms to fill out in the mail the next day. I called and told them I spent 15-20 plus minutes on the phone answering all these questions but they insisted it has to be in writing also and that they do this with all patients.

I felt they didn't care one iota that they were interrupting my work time and putting me through the same procedure unnecessarily. I have never, ever in all my years had a doctor's office treat me this way and not care or respect me as a valued patient. Nor did I get the impression that one hand knows what the other is doing. My appointment went south without even stepping in the door. Off to find an organized eye doctor.

The staff is kind and welcoming, and the doctors are all great, but dear god when it comes to office management it feels like they have no respect for your personal time. Regardless of appointment time, plan to sit and wait for at least a couple hours plus because they are unable to cope with overbooking the day. A great experience once seen, ruined by the most awful patient appointments management.

I've clocked the worst wait at 3 hours to be seen beyond my initial appointment time (which I was even early to), since the wait doesnt stop after you are initially seen by an assistant.

I was in town on vacation. My eye was red and vision blurry. They insisted on dilating m (putting me out of commission for 4-5 hours) BEFORE a doctor would look at me. The 4 staff and doctor I dealt with were ALL rude! I left and went to Dr. Rubin who was excellent. Diagnosed me as he should-by looking at my eye without dilating- have cornea ulcer. Tomoko is a medical mill!

This is in regard to the eyeglass department at the Ormond Beach office. I went in today to have them put the lenses back in the frame of my glasses. They didn't ask me what I needed, just to take a seat in the outer room. About forty minutes later a young fellow walks in. They didn't tell him to take a seat, that it would be just a minute. They started to take care of him and I decided there was no sense in me waiting any longer.

They apparently didn't want to wait on me or just entirely forgot about me. As I walked out, I told the lady at reception that there was very poor service back there and that I would never be back.

I made an appt as a new patient, arrived 20 mins early as requested and they couldn't find my info anywhere. On their website they have 3 different phone numbers listed, one for port orange, one for Ormond beach and one for palm coast. I called the number for Ormond beach, as that is where I live, and apparently their call center scheduled me in the palm coast location.

The only thing they offered to do was allow me to wait around until all of the docs other patients were done and they could maybe squeeze me in. Are you kidding me? So I'll just sit here for probably over an hour waiting b/c of your company's incompetence, no thank you. I'll take my business elsewhere, with people that know what they're doing and know how to provide customer service. Appalling first and last impression.

I bought 2 pairs of glasses from the Palm Coast location. I ended changing to this location because the customer service here is much better. After 1 1/2 months of trying to get my glasses fitted correctly I ended up returning the pair of regular prescription glasses I had bought, but I did keep my new prescription sunglasses. I've been wearing prescription glasses nearly all my life, and I have never had troubles with being able to see through the lenses like I was having with the glasses I ended up returning.

I'm still not sure why I wasn't able to see clearly out of them like I could my old glasses, but I no longer had the time to keep messing with them. Despite this, Deborah had great customer service. She was patient and tried everything she could to help me. Also, Rick is the man to see if you're having a hard time getting glasses fitted right on your face. He helped me when nobody else was understanding what I needed them to do.

I have been a patient of Tomoka Eye Ormond Beachfor about 3 years. Always had good experiences with every appointment. Usually go every 6 months for eye pressure checks and renew eye drop prescription. Well until yesterday. I am still shocked at what occurred. I went for a re check of an eye problem I'd had checked 30 days prior to this appointment.

I was told when I was checking in that since I worked in healthcare for a long term care facility, and there had been more Covid 19 cases, I could NOT be seen for a least 3 months because I would be a risk to the doctor. If I had an emergency arise to go to the ER. Is this the new norm for all eye docs and I am over reacting?

I waited 35 minutes in the exam room while the Dr. was on the phone with his travel agent planning a family vacation. He never apologized for making me wait.

My right eye was in a lot of pain so I called so I called Tomoka Eye Associates. Even though my normal doctor, Dr. Kennedy, was out of town, I was given an appointment the next morning with Dr. Root. I was very impressed with Dr. Root's professionalism and taking care of my problem. Immediate relief! I highly recommend Tomoka Eye Associates.

I had cataract surgery. I have had issues since the surgery so had to revisit the office for follow-up. it was necessary to go to Port Orange and then the next appointment in Ormond Beach. The port orange visit was scheduled to be his first patient of the day. The doctor arrived 50 minutes late. A quick I'm sorry and then acted as if nothing was wrong with his tardiness.

The next appointment I was the first patient after lunch again 50 minutes late! Obviously this is a pattern! The doctor was in such a hurry that he didn't even listen to my concerns I felt as if he was reading off a script! Maybe he was upset because we went to the desk and told them we had waited long enough. One of the nurses ran to the desk and told us he just arrived to please come back, so of course we did!

I have numerous friends that are physicians and I've never had to treat them like they are special! Obviously that's what's expected here! My next visit will be with a different doctor! I'm so disappointed. I really liked the doctor in the beginning I did all my homework and knew that he was a skilled surgeon. No one wants to be treated as if they are insignificant!

Very nice location with a comfortable waiting area. Bring a jacket if you will be sitting next for a bit since it is cold. The staff was great for checking and since I was the designated driver there is coffee and snacks that you can have while waiting.
