I was disappointed to discover that I will be charged a $50 appointment cancellation fee after getting a stomach virus and missing my simple $100 appointment. Upon first registering, I signed a contract stating that for all future appointments cancelled would involve a $50 fee. Reluctantly I signed it; it was an odd way to begin our relationship, but I obliged.

I woke up the day of my appointment with a stomach virus. Yes, my appointment was confirmed 24 hours prior, but projectile vomiting was an unforeseen occurrence 30 minutes before my appointment. I had my assistant call them hours later to let them know I was sick, but the receptionist told her that I would be charged $50 regardless of being sick. Take your business elsewhere if you are looking for customer service and a medical office that doesn't encourage sick patients to infect others.
