Where do I begin? I saw Dr. Epstein to look at my ankle. I had a precious surgery due to a bad break that needed emergency surgery, unfortunately, after trying different approaches with my PT. about 8 months in was in soo much pain. Long story short need a screw removed and tendon repair. From the minute he stepped in the office room, he was calm very personable.

Surgery went great, tendon was worse than expected but that was a possibility discussed precious to surgery. He and Zach his PA explained everything so thoroughly. My mind was at ease for the surgery. Cannot thank him and his office staff for getting me in quick. Surgery was scheduled 2 weeks after appointment. Also, to my mom today to the walk in clinic due to shoulder and hip pain.

We saw Cameron, one of the PA's. She was terrific, sat and listened to my moms complaints, did multiple X-rays, reviewed them throughly with us. She ended up needing a cortisone injection but still put her mind at ease. We thought it was going to be much worse. I would easily recommend Dr. Epstein and Cameron.

Stay far away from this Practice. Dr Wendel is 100% POFS. Any doctor that would leave his patient in pain for a months and does nothing. POFS. Staff Amanda POS. THIS CLOWN will not even call the Doctor to have a peer to peer talk to push through a test. Every time you call staff difficult story. Dr will not call you back. POFS. Tells you they can't do cortisone shots anymore. LIE. I can keep going on. Its not worth my time anymore. PRACTICE IS SCUM

Tri county ortho in Denville is an excellent group of doctors. I have seen Doctors Klein and Simmerano and they are both good listeners, patient, and kind. I haven't had the luck to meet many doctors like these two in my life, and I sincerely recommend them both for all your skeletal issues. Dr. Simmerano attended to my wrist in October of 2020, and to my dislocated knee in spring of '21. Dr. Klein performed a tibial tubercule osteotomy on my knee in summer of 2021, following a workplace injury.

He did everything he could to make sure I felt secure and comfortable before the surgery. A painful process was eased by his professionalism and empathy, and the efforts of the physical therapists on the second floor of the Denville building. Thank you TCO!

Excellent appointment and evaluation. Kind and considerate. Provided all possible solutions to the problem with knee. Was not arrogant or hurried. Listened to my concerns and took time to understand the history of the injury. I felt Dr. Klein was most receptive to my personal needs and highly recommend him.

2 months ago I took my son to this facility to see a orthopedic, surgeon was good with my son's checkup and then he gave my son a knee brace to wear and I thought it's a part of my doc visit and they should have checked with insurance if it covers. But they didn't bother to check with insurance and it was not covered. Today I received a huge amount of bill from the brace company saying I have to pay the rest of the amount after my insurance paid and online this brace cost half of this amount. when I spoke to my doctor office they say they cannot do anything about that because I signed some paper work and you have to talk to that medical supply company not us. so my loss is my loss But this should not repeat again with any other person. so when you guys visit this office please buy the medical supply from outside or else be prepared to get a good amount in bill.

My experience here made me feel like my injury wasnt important and they didnt really care about me. I was asked to be there 15 min early but had to wait for over an hour to be seen. Dr stevens rushed in talking very fast for about 5 min and half of that was spent talking about his own back injury. He tells me he is sending me somewhere else to get epidural injections but will give me a little something to get me by until then and then i was rushed up front to checkout.

I left with only the promise that i would be contacted about my appointment. My sister went with me & was shocked at how uncaring he was. A month went by and i had heard nothing so i call back to tri county ortho and leave a message, that was a month ago! No one has bothered calling me back, its two months later and i'm still in pain every day, then i get a bill for over $200!

For what? You didnt do anything but a bunch of fast talking, it takes me DAYS to earn that much money which isnt easy with my back pain, some days i have to have help putting on pants and shoes. I DID NOT FIND THE HELP I WAS SEEKING HERE

My experience at Tri-County Orthopedics was relatively seamless. I have to give all the kudos to Patty. She is a wonderful person who keeps that office running like a well-oiled machine. Her personality brightened up my day, which quite frankly, is an extremely rare thing to experience from a doctors office.

My doctor is very decent overall. DR. Simerano performed shoulder surgery on me and i dont have any complaints. However, every single time i go to the denville office, it's a mad house. They clearly are double booking every doctor there. You show up to a packed waiting room (I guess we care more about profit than covid). And then sign in and wait 45min/1hour past your scheduled appointment time.

During that timeframe you see everyone who was there when you showed up, slowly trickle in to the exam rooms to be seen. While a whole new group of people have showed up to wait for their appointments. When asking the front desk why this is taking so long, they pretend to not really know and/or make something up, even though this is an everyday occurrence.

And when you finally get in an exam room, you wait another 10 - 15 min. I could hear my doctor in the next room still working with another patient. If you are in for a follow up exam because you got an MRI, they put the disk in the computer and read the results to you and then you leave. All of that could have been done in off hours or simply not during an appointment.

But of course they want to get you in the door so they can bill your insurance. God forbid your doctor does administrative tasks for your health without billing you these days. So at the end of they day you wait 45-60min for a 10 minute appointment. And they have no shame as like i said earlier, its an everyday thing.

A friendly and welcoming experience since I first stepped through their door! All staff members showed that they were happy to help, enjoyed what they do, and who they work with, which is so refreshing and such an amazing thing to experience as a patient! Dr. Klein is a brilliant doctor who takes his time to explain things and answer questions thoroughly.

I immediately feel comfortable in his care and confident that his decisions have my best interests in mind. I'm very grateful to have him as my doctor, and in my life experiences, with doctors, the medical field, etc., that is a very rare thing for me! I would absolutely recommend this doctor, and this practice, to anyone who is looking for an orthopedic!

My last consultation with Dr. Capecci concerned a hip injury and he provided a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan which addressed the problem. He has been my orthopedic doctor for over 12 years and has performed knee replacement on both knees without any problems. I am very pleased to have him as my doctor.

I would recommend trying another orthopedic practice. I tried to make an appointment for my wife who has a wrist fracture. I was unable to even speak to a representative to make an appointment. I then left my name and number and nobody from the practice even called me back. Fortunately, there are plenty of other orthopedists in the area. The poor customer service of this practice is disappointing.

Dr. Simmerano was very professional and open in evaluating the different options to my knee and hip future treatments. It was my first visit and he made feel relaxed and confident that I could really benefit from some of the options.

Just an excellent experience (part of a lifesaving effort) Dr Klein took control of the surgical end of the experience and was successful (at least so far). A great Dr. who enjoys his work. Takes the time to explain what was needed to be done which I surely appreciated.

Dr Rocco was a sent from Heaven for me. On day one he was able to point me on the right direction and give a significant diagnosis as to what might be and made reasonable suggestions immediately concerning my recovery. I'm well pleased with his attention

For normal Orthopedic procedures, this practice could work. However for anything slightly different - please get a second opinion. I used to be a big fan of this organization however after my daughter's patella surgery, I realized they are just not experienced as a more mainstream group such as: HSS in NYC or Rothman Orthopedic in PA. The doctor here failed in the surgery and we had to have the procedure repeated. The experience at HSS was much more smooth, organized and well, top notch. For normal stuff, Tri County could work but only for normal procedures.

I had the best experience here with all of the staff. Friendly, accomodations and helpful. They watched my son while I had to have x rays taken and I felt very comfortable with doing so because the staff was so amazing there. Would recommend this place to everyone I know!

Dr. Simmerano is the best! I've had two successful surgeries with him and have seen him for numerous other issues relating to my osteoarthritis. He always puts me at ease with every procedure he performs and has an impeccable bedside manner. Highly recommend!

After an unfortunate accident I had a excellent experience when someone recommended Dr. Shearin. I was able to schedule surgery quickly and the recovery process went very smoothly. If you are looking for a hand specialist I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Shearin!

Everyone I encountered over the last 4 months went above and beyond my expectations. Never were any of my concerns dismissed as trivial. Attention to detail and appropriate levels of caution were always present. I must also commend the staff for responding to an unrelated issue. The pastor of our church was traveling in Italy with his sister who fell and hurt her back.

He communicated with me that he was uneasy in a strange environment. At my request he was put at ease by Christine of your office. As I said responses and care from your office is above and beyond expectations. Thanks Chris kimker

Typical Mill. The wait is always over an hour and appointments are rushed. Dr I saw was totally uncaring and front desk is unfriendly. This place is all about the money. They couldn't care less about the patients. It's really a shame. When I told Dr I was unhappy that my injury prevented me from participating in my sport, he says Well do you get payed to play your sport?

Sorry but to some people money is not everything. Even if your not a professional athlete your sport may give you stress relief and pleasure. The fact the Dr could not understand this tells you what his priorities are in life

I never review doctors but this place has such Horrible service I had to say something about tri county! They ONLY care about $$ not the patient. I've given them multiple opportunities because it seems to be the first place family doctors send us to. Simply Habit? I will Never return to ANY of the doctors there. It's depressing sitting there knowing they could give a crap about people.

Not to mention they're just Mediocre doctors with big egos offering poor poor poor care. I won't go into the all stories but trust me we were treated so poorly on all accounts. Race you through the appointment Like youre taking up too much of their time! Ps, My knee surgery results sucked. He simply shrugged it off omg. My son was treated horribly with his dislocated bone. We found a good caring doctor a week later. But boy howdy they love the big money. As I said I've never reviewed doctors but felt the need to warn others.

Dr. Gyi is a Nightmare! Waited for an 1-1/2 hours and when she finally came in to see me told me my issue was normal without even looking at me. NEVER going back. So unprofessional. And the business seems to be a scam collecting your copay prior to your appt so you don't walk out.

Let me start by saying that family has used many of the doctors at Tri-County, for various reasons over the years, and they have all been very professional, caring, experienced and helpful to us. HOWEVER, the office visits - when not scheduled for early morning - can consume HOURS. The last post-op checkup my husband was scheduled for last week was for 12:15pm - and we had another obligation scheduled at 1:30.

We figured the office visit would be a 5 minute inspection of the healing and that the full office experience would be 30-40 minutes, giving us plenty of time to get to the next. When we checked in at 12:10 no indication was given to us that the office was way behind schedule. At 30 minutes in the waiting room I went to ask the desk staff how much longer it would be as we had another obligation scheduled.

She assured me that there was only 1 more patient ahead of us (this turned out to be a lie). Around this time another patient was also getting upset and was told that her they were just waiting for a room in her doctors' section. Hmmm. At 45 minutes waiting - and 3 additional patients called for our doctor I went up again and was told the same thing - as were now approaching being late to the next appointment - and had no idea how long we'd wait in the exam room - I asked to reschedule.

The receptionist I was working with then went to "take a look" at the situation and disappeared. I waited an additional 5 minutes for her to return and when she didn't I went to another receptionist and asked to reschedule. She had told the other woman that they were waiting for a room and now she told me the same thing. I insisted that we were now going to be late to our next appointment and that we would like to reschedule.

We were close to one hour past our scheduled time. I commented that if I showed up one hour past my time, I'd not be seen. I was told by the reception staff that they were not responsible and to bring it to the doctors. Actually - in an office that size and scope - it is really up to the managing staff, not the doctors, to keep on top of how the days' schedule is going.

It is NOT unreasonable to expect that there will be times when a doctor needs to spend additional time with people. It is up to the office staff to manage people's expectations - and lying is really sending the message that the office staff could care less about patients'/customers' time. Pro tip - If the office is running behind, call people to either reschedule or delay their arrival and set the lateness expectation. It is not appropriate, nor the sign of excellence in business practices to just string people along.

Nice doctors but getting your records is close to impossible. Their phone system just hangs up on you and I can't get anyone on the phone. I'm amazed that they get a 2.5 star rating overall.

Had left anterior total hip replacement and was elated that I walked in to the hospital on a Wednesday for surgery and walked out the next day with a cane and a new hip. Followed orders and I was able to drive after 2 weeks. absolutely would recommend this procedure if you need a new hip and this group

Anitra H I have been to this group a few time over the last three years for shoulder problems. I was very pleased with my service as my previous Dr. had missed diagnosed me. I recently called to make an appointment and they told me I was in collections and could not make an appointment until paid. I said ok I will pay it now. Then sent me to someone else who refused to take payment and stated I have to call the collection agency.

I was very upset for the run around. For the reason that they NEVER asked me what was wrong why was I calling for an appointment. At that moment I realized it was more of business than the care of a patient. I had no problem paying the bill. They could have taken the payment and made my appointment so that I could get care. This has made me think that maybe I should take by business elsewhere since that is what is about. Very Very disappointed. I work in the health care field my self, and would have never treated a patient like that if they were in need of care.

Dr. Willis makes you wait for an hour then looks at your injury for 5 minutes and you leave. It's terrible, I also waited four hours on an IV until he was available for surgery. Find another surgeon.

Dr. Montgomery at Tri County is the absolute best orthopedic doctor ever. Having fallen at work, the case was restricted to WC making many doctor decisions on my behalf. The initial doctor I went to, after realizing how badly I was injured admitted he could not help me and told WC to find another doctor who could. My first visit at Tri County was with a different doctor who later brought Dr. Montgomery in as a second consult. Dr. Montgomery agreed he could fix my horribly broken shoulder.

A couple weeks later, after a 4.5 hour surgery, Dr. Montgomery worked his magic. He totally fixed some nearly irreparable damage. Even though my case was WC, Dr. Montgomery was always on my side. He provided the necessary care and never wavered in offering me exactly what he, as MY doctor, felt I needed. He did not allow WC to dictate care, he took full charge and responsibility for my physical and mental well-being.

In addition to being a fantastic surgeon, his demeanor when speaking with me was always polite and respectful He showed great concern and patiently answered every question I had. I never felt rushed and Dr. Montgomery took as much time with me as the appointment required. I can say, without hesitation, Dr. Montgomery is the FINEST ORTHOPEDIC DOCTOR you will find in NJ if not the US! The office staff can be irritable and cranky, and the wait times can exceed 45 minutes. but if Dr. Montgomery is your doctor, ***HE IS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.***

Although the doctors in this practice may be fabulous (I've seen three of them since August 2017, 4 visits total), the mechanics of this practice are scarily disfunctional and downright patient-hostile. 1) Wait times are long. The earliest I've been seen was 30 minutes after my appointment time; the latest was 2 hours and 10 minutes after. 2) Prescriptions are doled out month by month rather than being renewable, and you must use the patient portal or convoluted voice-message system to request a refill. Now, I can understand caution with opioids or other serious painkillers.

But minor NSAIDs like Mobic (meloxicam)? I can also understand that doctors might want to hold medications hostage so that patients don't allow too much time to pass between follow-up visits. But the past two months I've had trouble getting my prescription refilled--I place my request on the portal, wait, call the pharmacy, the pharmacy says they don't have the info and calls the office, days pass, I call the pharmacy, the pharmacy calls again.

See photo for the explanation I received last month. (It would be a bit more reassuring if communications were a bit more polished.) This month (March), I placed my request on the 2nd; pharmacy called on the 6th; pharmacy called on the 14th, and they're calling again today, the 20th. But I think I'm going to give up on the one pill a day and go back to ibuprofen. 3) they are resistant to patient calls, instead requiring use of the phone system (rather like the cable company.) 4) Different doctors prefer different forms; even if you're an established patient, you need to fill out a new form.even though the form fields are the same. You'd think that a modern business would be able output data in slightly different formats (you can do this in Office or Adobe Acrobat, for heaven's sake), and it does make me a bit concerned about how well they manage patient data. Any recommendations for a specialist in physical medicine/ orthopedic surgery in Morris County who's NOT part of this practice?

It's hard to review an orthopedic practice when there are several doctors all with their own set of patients. This front end staff here are top notch, however, that's where the good service ended for me. My ortho doctor was Dr. McBride. Long story short, a broken pinky finger led to three office visits thus far. In fact, I'm writing this review as I wait on that third visit.

You can probably see where this is going. Out of three visits, two of them have resulted in around a two hour wait for the doctor, that is, two hours after scheduled appointment time. Upon finally seeing the doctor, I have been greeted with a man that talked through me rather than to me. I was hoping the extra wait time would result in a more personal service, but that is not the case. Dr. McBride treats me more like I'm on an assembly line than a person. I've seem him twice now (waiting on that third), and both times the doctor spent less than 15 minutes with me. Apparently, my time is not valuable or important to him.

End result of my pinky is still TBD, so I can't speak to the actual medical treatment I received. I also can't speak about the other doctors here, however, when faced with an appointment with Dr. McBride, I highly recommend finding someone else.

I would leave 0 if I could. You walk in the place and it's like an ER nightmare. I counted 57 in the waiting room. Why did I count? because I was waiting for 2 hours TWO HOURS! I finally get called back and the Dr. spent maybe 3 minutes with me. He looked at previous X-rays and said "no break, wear a boot for 1-3 weeks call back in 10 days if you are still in pain" No exam WHAT SO EVER of my leg and foot.

Sure he glanced at it but never tried to move it to see where the pain was stemming from. The reason for my visit: I had a BAD fall and after over a week it was still swollen, extremely painful and numb in one area. The general Dr. I saw was extremely concerned about how bad it looked, the swelling and the numbness. I told this Dr about her concerns and he response was "well you're swollen, so yeah" PS - I can't wear the boot because so much pain is in my calf.he wouldn't know that because he never checked. NEVER waste a minute at this place.

Do not come to this location, save your time and money. I went in with lower back pain, the doctor made me get three different x rays because she couldn't figure out what was wrong. They said my insurance covered it and after months it didn't. They sent me to collection for $129 and I didn't know this because I moved to a new apartment.

I found out when I needed a credit report and saw it in the report. Stay away, they make you wait for appointments and then take advantage of the patients. 7/19/2017 Thank for responding to my review with a canned answer, they can't even get that right!

While the doctors here are fantastic, the scheduling and wait time is absolutely ridiculous. They have zero respect for their patient's time. During my experience of 3 different visits, I've waited 45 min- an hour in the waiting room, followed by another 15 or so in the exam room, followed by 20-40 mins in line to get x-rays, followed by another 10-15 minutes back in the exam room all before seeing the doctor. It's a shame that such a nice, talented facility is ruined by poor schedule coordination.
