Howard J. Tzorfas, D. P. M., is a Board Certified surgeon and podiatrist specializing in both surgical and non-surgical treatments. We have solutions for just about any condition affecting the foot, including ingrown & fungus nails, corns & calluses, sports injuries, diabetic care, hammer toes, heel pain, bunions and warts.
Bunions are due primarily to genetic factors, but can become painful over time due to trauma, ill-fitting shoes and poor foot structure. What happens, is that the bone connected to the big toe starts to drift outward pushing the big toe sideways into the other toes which can also lead to painful hammertoes, corns and calluses.
If your son or daughter is not participating as often in sports or in other physical activities or is complaining of foot pain, don't think it's caused by "growing pains". Your son or daughter may have a common developmental foot condition such as flat feet that could be simply treated with a custom foot orthotic.
Diabetics are prone to poor circulation, have a weakened immune system and impaired nerve function in their feet. Due to poor circulation, diabetic feet are more susceptible to developing sores, and non-healing wounds which may lead to ulcers. These wounds can also develop into serious infections which can lead to amputations, loss of limbs and even loss of life.

Cindy was able to get me in same day last minute. Waiting room time was 2 minutes. Michelle and Crystal were very thorough, kind and helpful with preliminary questions. I also met Diane and Lisa who were both very pleasant. DR T. was great. He treated my situation with expertise and came up with a plan going forward. He even trimmed my nails without having to ask. Dr Tzorfas and his entire staff (especially Lisa and Cindy) are patient, accommodating and an absolute pleasure to work with. From making an appointment to tracking down a referral and paperwork, the process was smooth and friendly. Dr Tzorfas is highly skilled, efficient and knowledgeable. Dr. Tzorfas & his staff have been caring for my problematic feet & ankles for a couple of years. They take the time necessary to explain & answer my questions. Your feet give you the first impressions of how your day to come might be by the way they feel. When they touch the floor & they hurt when you start walking, it's very hard to be yourself throughout your day. I've been to other Podiatrists & was dissatisfied. So far, I give a "big toe & a thumbs-up" to Dr. Tzorfas & his team! Thank you for making my feet feel better.
