Overall, it was a pretty quick visit. The nurses and doctor were really nice. Something that upset me though without thinking until Ruby hospital mentioned is, when they gave me a cocktail medicine for my stomach acid, they gave me orange juice with it which is acidic as well. Pretty funny but kinda messed up! Luckily didn't mess with me!

I took my 84 year old mother in for rapid heart beat, they admitted her letting me believe she would be released after a night of observation. I bring in her clothes to wear home at 11 am the next morning, quietly waiting while she was sleeping. A Male nurse, rudely storms into the room and hollers "Visiting hours are not until noon!" Storms out of the room, scaring my mother half to death, arguing and hollering saying he wasn't told, no, he wouldn't have been because he wasn't there at admission, and he had and attitude!

The doctor then came in and stated he wanted to look at her EKG readings to see how her night was, which was terrible because she had 2 more episodes during the night. I am her caregiver, she lives in my house, and I have every right to be there when the doctor explains stuff because she does not understand a lot of the terms. I believe the Male nurse should be severely punished for his attitude and the way he treats the patients! She could have easily had another episode because of his TERRIBLE AND RUDE reactions. I personally believe he should be FIRED!

I wouldn't give 1 star if I had the option. First of all they said my Father needed back surgery, MRI showed critical spinal stenosis. The pain was unbearable after the surgery with pitting edema in his hip. Surgeon told me on the phone it was probably a hematoma. Being that I'm a nurse I know the difference. I told the Surgeon I want an xray of his hip first before they did surgery to make sure nothing else was going on.

Apparently they can't read xrays! The Surgeon sent my father for another MRI of the hip and pelvis which they should done prior to surgery. Turns out my Father didn't need the back surgery. He had a huge mass and the cancer was in his bones. Had they did more testing they would have found this out. They cancer had spread so fast after the back surgery that he only lived 3 months.

The second incident my husband was having right sided chest pain, was taken to Uniontown. His Troponin was up and they wanted to admit him but we explained that his cancer doctors and all of his test was done at Presby and we want him transferred. They told us we had to sign out AMA. That's what we did! I took him to Presby and so glad we did. He had 6 blockages and had open heart surgery!

He had amazing care from the time we went to Presby ER and until he was discharged! I never did receive a call back from the CEO or the ER director! Don't ever send your loved one to this hospital. Presby in Pittsburgh is by far the best! Susan Shick Patterson

Giving reviews for 2 different people located in the Uniontown hospital. Dr Syed pain MGMT he's a very good doctor, he really tries to help you with your pain issues. Only bad thing is that the messaging process there for him to get messages is awful, he usually never gets his messages ever, so now I text him on the mywvu app! This is the only way he gets his messages and actually gets back to you! Dr Bivona is a wonderful surgeon that I just met today, I really respect the fact that he told me like it was about certain surgeries, and he said he doesn't do surgery on a smoker!

I smoke cigarettes, so I would be disqualified for any type of back surgery, plus he doesn't do pain stimulators! Very nice down to earth Doctor! So far, for these 2 Doctors I will give 5 stars, For the receptionist/ messaging part of Dr Syeds office 1 star

I would give no stars I'd I could.this is more of a bandaid center at most but sadly is the nearest "hospital" to go to.they make u wait hours while sitting around talking. they have attitude issues and treat u like a bother.and make u suffer crying in severe pain. News flash not everyone wants to sit here at currently 4:10am for nothing and not everyone has addiction problems.they do absolutely nothing! It's a joke and needs shut down.

Extremely unprofessional, I had an appointment at the orthopedic office of the Uniontown Hospital for an ongoing back problem. I must preface that all of my visits to the Uniontown Hospital with UPMC and the few visits with WVU was always great service and care. My primary Dr. there is Dr. Pressman, who I think is the best and has taken good care of me in the past. However, I was referred to Dr Bovino for my back issue.

My appointment was at 10:45, and I eventually was checked in to an office at approximately 11:15 and I was told Dr. Bovino would be right with me. After waiting for 45 minutes and listening to laughter and chatter in the hallway, I thought it may be a good Idea to inquire why I sat for such a long period of time unattended. As I walked down the hallway of the offices there were several attendants in an office having casual conversation.

Not one ask me if I needed assistance, so I proceeded to the next office down the hall. There appeared to be a Dr. sitting at a computer and I had to ask, excuse me, I have been sitting for almost 45 minutes and no one has come in to check on me. He responded by asking who was my Dr.? My response was Dr. Bovino. He then replied Oh, he had to leave for an emergency.

I simply ask when was someone going to advise me of that? He responded well these things happen! I said I understand, but I think its unacceptable and someone should have told me, don't you think? He then tells me, WELL IF YOU DON'T THINK THAT IS ACCEPTABLE YOU DON'T HAVE TO COME BACK IF YOU DON'T WANT TO! I demanded my copay refund at the front desk and ask who the Dr. was in the last office.

The kind receptionist did not know. As I was waiting to get my refund the Dr. that was very unprofessional and rude made time then, to come out of his office to let the receptionist know to not reschedule me. I later found out the name of the Dr is Dr Andrew Wroblewski, I believe that's how its spelled. Terrible attitude, he was very disrespectful.

He couldn't find the time to visit the cubical to update me, but he made time to tell me not to come back! Well they can be certain, I won't be back! I'm sure Doc Pressman will not be happy with his associate Dr Andrew Wroblewski. Again, no disrespect to Doc Pressman, I think he is great, but he will lose clients with this type of service.

The reason for 1star is I always get a nurse who is bias and it seems they know how to treat me and I cannot deal with those atitiudes. When and if I find time for you. This is 2022 and I don't feel like catering to someone I expect to care for me. If I tell you I'm allergic to something I don't need to be told take it because it's not in your chart. I'm not fond of the terrible treatment of you have to wait you are not the only patient. Nurses should be kind in their speech not unkind because of a person's skin color.

My step-dad and I had to take my Mom in to the ER today. She is currently undergoing cancer treatment and she is in pain and has a lot of fluid retention. I understand the Covid restrictions but they need to allow more then one person with a patient. Other hospitals have updated their policies and this hospital needs to get with it too. It's absolutely ridiculous that they will not let 2 people in with a patient.

It's not like we want to have a freaking party in her room. We just both want to know what is going on. WVU you need to do better for your patients. I didn't even want to come to this hospital because of their ridiculous restrictions. And to top it all off the nurse was kind of rude about it too.

You would think after merging with WVU that this hospital would be better, but no. Checked in tonight with severe chest pain/shortness of breath/swelling & concerns of a pulmonary embolism and was told to wait, okay fine. then a kid came in with literally just a stomachache & diarrhea and was taken back within ten minutes after I'd been waiting two hours, the patient beside me had been waiting 6 1/2 hours & another elderly man almost passed out after waiting 6 hours.

I understand there's a triage process, but it is clearly not followed properly here. I left and went to mon gen and got taken back immediately. 100% do NOT recommend going here.
