Please, if you suffer from a painful bladder or interstitial cystitis please go here! Their kindness and compassion have given me hope and relief. I have seen several other urologists elsewhere and been met with dismissal and painful procedure. Here at TUCC the "same procedure" I have preformed on me that caused me horrific pain elsewhere, caused nothing but slight discmfort and then immidate relief. They are life savers and deserve all my praise and gratitude.

Had a vasectomy with dr.philpot. I was told the pain is a 10/10 from a friend in another state. Well his doctor had to be bad, because I was in and out in about an hour total. Pain: 1/10. A BREEZE. Thanks Dr. philpot!

I was referred by a friend for a vasectomy. The first initial call in was very hard to get through with the receptionist, almost like she was new at her job. She collected all of my information including my insurance info and scheduled my appointment. I realized after reading through paperwork that was emailed to me that I wanted medication to calm my nerves before the procedure.

I called back in right away and spoke to another receptionist that said they would put a note to have a nurse call me back. 3 business days went by without a call back so I called in again. The same receptionist I spoke with the first time answered and told me she did not see a note in the system and that she would make sure a nurse would reach out. Received a call the next day and the nurse said they would give me something for my nerves before the procedure as long as I showed up 30-45 mins before hand. Friday evening at 4:10pm I received a call from a nurse and she apologized because they had just realized there would be no registered nurse on staff to administer the medication so they could cancel my appointment and do another day or she could answer any questions to help try to calm my nerves before hand.

I decide to just move forward with the procedure and see them at 7:45am the next day. After getting family to watch our kids, my wife and I headed to the urology center. When we arrived I was asked to provide my insurance card and I.D., she had then explained that my insurance, Kaiser, is not approved and that the entire procedure would be out of pocket.

She asked if the billing department had called me, I told her no. This was extremely frustrating as you could imagine, why couldn't someone of called and told me this before I came in for the appointment? Why wasn't the receptionist trained to tell me that right when I told her I had Kaiser. What made it even more frustrating was that the receptionist that took my insurance card had said there is only one insurance plan through Kaiser that covers vasectomies through them. WHY WOULD YOU NOT SAY THIS FROM THE BEGINNING?!?

So frustrated and embarrassed. This should not be the experience anyone should have with this procedure. I really hope a manager sees this and stops this from happening in the future.

Everybody I have had any dealings with over the last 18 months of being a patient has been professional, caring and a pleasure to work with, from the check in desk to the MA's and Doctors. I highly recommend TUCC

Drs. Ragan, Pugh, Carpenter and Montoya all seemed very competent, professional, honest, and straightforward. They do listen to one's concerns and explain well. I would not have any hesitation with any of them treating me. However, I was not particularly pleased with TUCC's communication system: 1) I would try to send a message on the patient portal.

If you take too long composing the message and try to send, it aborts and you lose your entire message. Extremely frustrating! 2) Callbacks are hit and miss. Multiple times I theoretically left messages with zero response, or a very delayed response. Also, if a doctor is on vacation, how about a vacation response to a portal message instead of a black hole?

There are too many levels of indirection in the phone system. I know it takes more people resource, but why can't I call a doctors staff directly? TUCC is not alone in this regard. 3) I DID have a representative from Dr. Ragan's office call a couple times to check up on my progress in selecting a course of treatment and physician at TUCC and to help track down information I needed.

That was very welcome. Need more of that. Dr. Ragan coordinated my initial tests and diagnosis, along with explaining the results. He was very good. However, prostate cancer treatments are done by others at TUCC. So, I was not sure of his role in my continued search for a treatment and physician. Should everything have gone through his office? But that would add more indirection and delay. 4) After Dr. Ragan decided I needed a biopsy, it was 1.5 months before I could get that done at TUCC.

That seemed to me to be a surprisingly long wait for an important procedure. From my sample, the doctors here seem to be first class. If TUCC could improve it's communication system, the whole operation would be amazing. All the people I interacted with at TUCC seemed personable and caring, no issue there.

I have been working with Dr. Ruyle for 16 years and couldn't be happier about the care he has providee. However, TUCC has completely deteriorated to the point that it is virtually impossible to reach a live person there by phone. You get put on hold, told how important the call is, and then after many minutes, get automatically transferred to the answering service. As a medical practice, it is inexcusable that they won't staff receptionists to answer phone calls.

Well here we are once again. I called the office to find out why they weren't working on a prescription that started 9 days ago. I waited for 33 minutes and 50 seconds before anyone answered the phone. Then was told that the prior auth just got sent in yesterday! The lack of quality care is astounding.

I was diagnosed with 3+4 prostate cancer in early 2021. The initial biopsy, genetic testing, and my age eventually supported "active surveillance, " but my second biopsy in Sept. was sufficiently advanced and urgent enough to require treatment fairly quickly (2.5 mos later). Along the way to this decision point and afterwards, TUCC doctors and Dr. Dagenais were incredibly informative and very convincingly competent at each appointment.

Another physician at TUCC provided me with a hardcopy of an excellent, very detailed book regarding many many of the analyses and possibilities regarding treatment options- by simply by handing the book to me on the spot. At a later appointment, a different TUCC doctor patiently advised me of some treatment biases that were unintentionally present in the book (while praising the book generally).

This all was well before I had even decided definitely to remain under TUCC's treatment. That book became my bible, and the docs made sure they answered my questions and understood their answers. TUCC were originally my "second opinion" docs- a different urology practice found my cancer. Still, TUCC's patient care was so clearly, properly patient-focused that I immediately decided to advance under TUCC's and Dr. Dagenais' care.

I decided on having robot prostatectomy, nerve sparing to the extent possible. The surgery was scheduled quickly, and all of the support processes along the way were great. Best of all, Dr. Dagenais' surgery was performed excellently and smoothly. At 6 weeks post-surgery, I am at unmeasurable/0 PSA and cancer free. My nerves were able to be preserved bilaterally and are regaining function.

I had been accurately advised of the likely effects of procedure, so there was no unanticipated stress in the weeks following my operation. I had been advised of the adaptations necessary for me after surgery. Result to now: I'm lucky and happy to be ahead of schedule for acheiving the usual recovery benchmarks. Great practice, great surgeon, great and clear manner with me as a patient.

In the short time I have worked for TUCC I truly have enjoyed being here. Through COVID, my personal family battles with COVID, the support I received was far more than I have ever received from any job I've been at. The teamwork here, the doctors sharing their knowledge and the overall atmosphere is bar none. I couldn't have asked for a better specialty facility to be working at. I am very happy where I am and am hoping to be here a long while.

So please let me explain The three-star rating given I have been going to this urology center since 2007? Anyways the first time wasn't exactly pleasant as I could remember but they got me in it now a little bit quicker than they did the second time now the second time I called to set up an appointment they are TERRIBLE at Setting up the appointment like I kid you not when you call you're lucky if you get to talk to anybody and when you do get to talk to somebody they end up wanting to transfer me to somebody who can make the appointment for you which makes no sense to me but whatever
