My husband went in for eye surgery and they messed his eyes up and they won't see him because he owes a bill then they send him to a place to pay his Bill and he set up payment arrangements with someone that is not associated with the place

Had cataract surgery and now I am having problems with my eyes called Valley eye and they refuse to correct the problem because I owe a co payment that's pretty unprofessional that they don't have a six month followup or atleast call and then you receive a bill from another Association for the room and the utensils used for the surgery I wouldn't recommend them to anyone if you can't afford the three bills you will receive

I'm 80 years old, and my optometrist recommended Valley Eye Associates for the cataract surgery that she had been encouraging me to have. I accepted her recommendation, even though it meant a 75 mile drive for the pre-op appointments and the surgeries. I elected the optional--and extra cost--laser surgery. The right eye was done first, and two weeks later the left eye.

I now have 20/15 distance vision, as the surgeries corrected my myopia and astigmatism. Needless to say, I am very pleased with my optometrist for her recommendation and my decision to do as she suggested. Also, for those who might be interested, I elected to have the surgeries without the IV sedation. This, too, was a good decision. The surgeries were essentially painless, with very little post-op discomfort.

I always wanted to have lasik done (I had a very high perscription in contacts and glasses. -6 to be exact), was told by another provider I was not a candidate. Decided to get a second opinion at Valley Eye. Was very impressed at the first initial appointment. It was very intensive and in depth. (That was not the case at the first provider I went to) The team was super sweet and respectful!

Everyone I interacted with from front of house to back was friendly. Had my procedure done Saturday morning with Dr. Vrabec and it was a success! Wish I had visited their office much sooner. Easiest procedure i've ever had! The team was lovely, and so is the Doctor. His bed side manor is A+++! Didn't use verbiage that was hard to understand. Woke up yesterday with 20/20 vision. I cried at how life changing this was for me. Highly recommend!

I am 4 months post-op from LASIK and passed a highly meticulous eye exam for my 1st class flight medical (FAA's most intensive level of testing in order to acquire Airline Transportation Medical). Test results revealed better than 20/15 vision. I can't express enough how happy I am with Dr. Vrebec and his crew.

Customer service is an absolute joke. Was put on hold by one the service attendants, who didn't realize she didn't actually have me on hold/mute and she decided to start mocking me to another colleague not knowing I could hear the entire time! Can't make this stuff up. I approached the manager who instead tried turning the issue on me and called me a liar.

Probably isnt the most intelligent decision to call a customer a liar and considering you are a service provider in a highly competitive space, you may want to rethink your approach here. This will be cross-posted wherever possible.

Just completed cataract lens replacement in both eyes. Everyone I talked to recommended Dr. Vrabec. I've had glasses since I was a kid, astigmatism, and a really bad cataract in one eye. I could not imagine having life without glasses, but that's where I'm at! Super happy that I opted for the laser surgery and fancier lenses. The world is brighter, sunsets and sunrises have such great colors, and I have ditched my prescription glasses for a pair of non-prescription Ray Bans. Everything went smoothly and it's amazing. Surgery is sci-fi weird but not at all painful and the benefits are tremendous. Thanks Dr. V!

Very good doctor. Easy to talk with and explained things to me that i could understand. She did not rush and did not make me feel rushed. If anyone is looking for a great eye doctor you need to see this one.

I've always wanted Lasik and never thought that I could afford it. I asked my sister-in-law who works here if they accept Care Credit and she said YES! So I took the steps to begin my Lasik journey and I'm proud to say this morning my vision is 20/20 after my surgery yesterday! Dr. Vrabec was amazing as were every staff member I dealt with during all 4 of my appointments leading up to my surgery.

I was at the Kensington, Park Place and Surgery Center on Spencer and no matter where I was I was respected and they were honest and very informative. Dr. Jensen was great this morning during my follow up appointment and they really make sure you have no questions and if you do they answer them very thoroughly. I highly recommend Dr. Vrabec and his entire team!

I was referred to them by my optometrist for cataract issues. My first exam was with an ophthalmologist 4/21. At that time I was told my eyes weren't bad enough for insurance to pay for the surgery, but that they would most definitely be ready by October. I should plan on the surgery then, but call for something sooner if my eyes showed a big change. 8/21 I called to schedule an appointment because of some major vision issues.

I explained the previous appointmen and what the doctor had said, only to be told there was NO record of it. Then, I could not get an appointment until 16/9. To add to that, the earliest surgery wouldn't be until 12/21 for one eye, then 1/22 for the second. Absolutely nothing could be done; I couldn't see anyone sooner than that, no matter where I offered to go. This experience seriously gave me no confidence in trusting them with care in testing, much less surgery for my vision!

The Staff at the front desk are welcoming, the support staff are warm and friendly and explain everything to the patient. Dr. Vrabec is outstanding as a surgeon but more than that he explains the procedure to the patient. His patience with mostly geriatric patients is just great. My partial cornea transplant was a success and I'm grateful to Valley Eye Associates for their care with my improved vision.

After a third surgery and more out of pocket expense I still have blurry vision in my left eye. my last visit revealed he cant fix the last problem that was created by the laser surgery he did (dr Vrabec) now I have to go see a specialist with a better laser and spend more money. Really I've already paid over $9,000 in cash- you would think that would be enough to see properly.

I have wanted LASIK for about 10 years, but I was terrified about the whole process. The whole experience went smoothly and easily at Valley Eye. Every staff member I interacted with was kind, patient and helpful, willing to answer all my questions no matter how many I had (there were a lot). Dr. Vrabec walked me through every single step as he did the procedure, gave thorough instructions, and a staff member stayed nearby to help me be sure I followed the directions. Dr. Vrabec even called me the day before to see if I had any questions or concerns. I would 100% recommend Valley Eye for anyone considering LASIK. My only regret is that I didn't go sooner :)

I've been going here for years and the last two years were awful. Dr. Mark Austin is a very crabby man. Also doesn't look you in the eye when talking to you. It seems he doesn't like doing his job. Everything I asked him for or about seemed to be too much for him to do. It was I can't pull my staff off their job to do this for you. Excuse me aren't I paying you for it?

Then complains about having to do his job from the diabetic eye exam that is required by the state for me to keep my job. Complaining about the government expecting him to do it. I have better things to do with my time. Well SIR I do to but I need this paper work for my job. I ill be looking for a Dr. that has time for his patients. I think it's time for him to retire. Good bye Dr. Austin.

I had a cornea transplant on my left eye. That went well except Dr. Vrebek kept the same lens in which was the real reason along with the lens that it had to be replaced. I had cataract so 9 months later they replaced the lens. The hope was that the new lens and taking stitches out would alleviate the problem. It didn't and I cannot see clearly out of my left eye even with glasses.

I was told that Dr. Vrabek was not going to do anything to make my sight better and I would always have blurred vision in my left eye. What a shame to waste a cornea transplant to get blurred vision no matter what is tried to improve it. I was told Dr. Vrabek was the best. You be the judge. If you want to have blurred vision for life I would highly recommend him.

Highly recommended folk and seem to be very reputable. I found the experience lacking. They first offered the option of exam and surgery the same day, which I took as the distances are large. Later they called and recommended against it. Next, they took my insurance information and said they would obtain my insurance contributions to help me make a decision.

Later said they would not do so until after exam and I had made my decisions about which surgery and eyewear - which I thought was backward as I needed the insurance information to help me make a decision. These are big dollar items for me. The lady then said, very sarcastically, with a hint of anger, "Well, I can do it for you if you can't do it yourself." I demurred and said I would find another provider.

$$$$$$ TOTAL RIP OFF! $329 for a routine eye exam! 5-6 times what other optometrists in the Fox Valley are charging! Let the consumer beware. Call and ask for the price of an exam BEFORE making the appointment. They will not budge off the price if you ask for a discount. Cindy, the account supervisor told me if the cost is important to me, I can always call before making an appointment.

Stupid me, I never expected 5-6 times what others charge! I will not be going back and I am posting as a warning to consumers to remember to check prices before you go. There was no issue with my insurance. My grievance is the OUTRAGEOUS COST when compared to other providers in the area. I would caution all potential clients to call around and compare prices, don't just call to schedule an appointment.

You already know they charge $329. Optometrists are bound ethically to care for the health of our eyes. If they see something outside their expertise, they will refer patients to specialists. There was nothing special about the routine exam I received. It was the same exam I have received for many, many years. What was extraordinary is the OUTRAGEOUS PRICE! $$$$

I love my doctor and everyone I have worked with there, up until one of the recentionists who was rude the last time I was there. I told her i was there to pick up glasses and indicated that I had my eyes examined last may and wasn't due for one, as it hadn't been a year yet. For some reason it seemed like I was inconvenience to her and her time? Other than that, my eye dr and the girl who assists with ordering frames are very pleasant to work with.
