Went to let my daughter pick out glasses here and half the kids here didn't have mask on, so tell me where you have the right to tell me to put one on? You don't know my health issues or anything will not come back here just for the hypocrisy. Thank you have a nice day

Extremely rude operations manager, Herbie Peirce. Do not try to call this Company to provide info of services to them, if you with another Company. He is very short and hangs up on you. I would not use their services after being treated like this when calling.

It's really upsetting that the doors were closed BEFORE 5PM.

I contacted this business for an appoint cancellation and rescheduling after being hung up on once already and having to call back then after 15 minutes on the phone I was again transferred. I was put through to a lady in Retina somewhere in Salem. When I explained my reason for calling she informed me again I wasn't in the right place and would need to be transferred.

I was upset at this point. I asked for the lady in Retina whose name I did not get to please take down my number and have someone call me. She snickered. This upset me I told her I had been on the phone for nearly half an hour trying to cancel and reschedule an appointment she laughed. This heightened my frustration. She then said you don't yell at me.

I said I wasn't yelling I was just frustrated and was then again just transferred again without her telling me I was being transferred. The next lady was very nice, I told her I wanted to speak to an office manager and the reason why. I was then transferred. The office manager of Retina done a good job of trying to figure out the issue but was unable to fix my issue over the phone.

She stated that she would look into the situation. I asked for someone to call me once they figured out where the right department was. I immediately called the Wytheville office of the eye doctor who referred us and they immediately rescheduled the appointment with the Vistar center in Wytheville in under 4 minutes.

It was my first time calling Vistar for my fiancee who recently sat on his glasses. Since we moved we havent gotten stablized at a new eye doctor for him. So when I called I was very shocked by the receptionist who acted as if I was no one and that trying to schedule an appointment for us was too much for her. She just stated that all locations even their Franklin County branches were booked until May or June. I was like well, I guess you all dont need us- Ill just call somewhere else!

After more than a decade seeing an opthamologist in Lynchburg, VA I parted ways with him and the facility and found Dr. Joseph Tims at the Vistar Eye Center in Roanoke. It is a long drive for me but well worth the travel. Making an appoointment was easy and the staff at Vistar are personable, friendly and jovial. Dr. Tims is awesome! I immediately felt at ease with him and appreciated his acceptance of my decision to not proceed with surgyer as my previosu doctor kept badgering me to do. Dr. Tims said it would be beneficial but was not emergent and when I was ready he too would be ready and unless I had problems, I could wait. he did say the surgery would benefit me, but it was my decision.

My previous doctor never accepted this idea and was constantly trying to force me into surgery I just wasn't ready for and that I didn't really want to have. Dr. Tims did exams that my doc of over 10 years never did. 6 months later, after my second visit, I decided to have the surgery to remove my cataracts and it has gone well. I am currently still recovering, but I was very comfortbale with Dr. Tims and felt confident in my decision to have the surgery. Dr. Tims is profesisonal and confident without the often accompanying "cockiness." A great dcotor all around! Very happy with the professionalism, honesty and concern for patient decision making.
