My wife (Janet) was admitted to Elder Health & Living on April 27th, 2021. She passed away on November 18th, 2021. She started out in Cascade House, and became agitated by the noise from one of the other patients. She was moved to Redwood House for about one month, where she started moving around a lot in her Merry Walker, bothering other residents.

She was then moved to Mt. Hood House where she had more room to move about. Each time they wanted to move Janet they would call me and discuss the options. They would then move her without any inconvenience to me. I therefore had the opportunity to observe caretakers interacting with patients in three houses for a period of six months. Every caretaker I watched was sweet, kind, and careful, but firm with the patients.

They were absolutely fantastic in their dealings with the patients and I cannot say enough good things about them. The care Janet received was exemplary. I recommend Elder Health & Living without reservation to anyone considering a care facility for a loved one. I would like to send a big warm hug to each of the caretakers who worked with Janet. You made me feel confident that Janet was very well cared for.

Before I placed my wife at ElderHealth and Living Memory Village (EHL) I visited 5 other facilities, sometimes more than once. I selected EHL because I liked the idea of the same staff interacting with her every day in a small house. I thought that the staff would get to know her well, and she would be most comfortable seeing just a few each day. In a big single building, the staff needed to care for 6-10 times as many residents can't know individuals as well, which wouldn't have worked as well for my wife.

Once I made the agonizing decision for placement, I was impressed with how EHL handled it. They came to evaluate my wife, which helped them decide which house was the best fit for her in terms of other residents. From the start, they've been responsive to my questions, and that's continued now 16 months later. I visited frequently, and they exceeded my expectations in terms of continuing compassionate care and efforts to stimulate the residents.

The nurses seem to be in and out frequently, and they are always friendly. Even the maintenance staff, who come and go occasionally, are friendly with the residents, often greeting them by name. And covid? That's been a drag for everyone But EHL has handled it professionally. They adhere to the Health Dept. guidelines, and they keep us family members apprised of the situation. And they've done their best to facilitate window visits or Zoom/Facebook visits.

ElderHealth & Living Memory Village is a remarkable facility that provides quality memory care in a family environment. We were introduced to ElderHealth & Living thru the Day Care program known as The Club. My lovely bride enjoyed the fellowship of other memory challenged participants. The Club offered a wide range of activities and field trips. Her participation in The Club instilled a new life in her daily activities As it became more difficult to care for my wife at home we explored ElderHealth & Living Memory Village residential program.

We are currently in our third year of residential living at ElderHealth & Living Memory Village. The quality of care far exceeds our expectations. Residents are treated with respect and compassion by well trained staff. Our family is so pleased that a Memory Care of this quality is available in the Eugene/Springfield area.

I am so thankful I found Elder Health and Living when the time came to find residential memory care for my mother. Every member of the staff I've ever encountered has been absolutely amazing. I appreciate their patience and skill in helping me engineer this challenging transition, but most of all I am continually floored by their collective efforts to get to know mom and tailor her activities and experiences to what they know she will love and respond to.

Every week, I encounter a new reason to be awed by the dedication, professionalism, and kindness of the caregivers and support staff at EHL. Mom is thriving thanks to their compassionate care, and I am eternally grateful for the quality they have added to her life-- and mine!

What a wonderful community ElderHealth & Living is! Having onsite owners and an onsite medical team is essential! Not only do they offer long term memory care but also offer respite stays, day care in one of the 9 memory care homes as well as a day Club program which offers cognitive stimulation for those still living at home 4 days a week! As a care partner having respite of your own that you can count on is key when caring for someone with a memory loss diagnosis. Kudos to EH&L Memory Village for being leaders in memory care.

What a beautiful setting. Where a home is really a home. ElderHealth & Living Memory Village is a place that makes sense for those with memory loss diseases. From the warm smiles at our Welcome Center to the smells of home cooked meals (especially the zucchini bread) we are always amazed! The caregivers at EHL are so incredibly special and have hearts bigger than we could ever ask for.

I can't say enough about the quality of care my dad receives at EH&L. Small group homes, healthy meals, and appropriate activities are some of the many benefits to living there. The staff at EH&L know memory loss and the fact that all residents have some form of it makes this type of living arrangement ideal. The caregivers are enthusiastic, positive and caring to everyone, including the residents' families.

I see so much compassion from the staff every time I visit. The one thing that sums up the community feel of ElderHealth & Living is they way employees will come out of their offices when a resident walks by and the take time to greet and chat with them. I have seen this so many times and it never fails to warm my heart. The over all feel is so much different than other care facilities I've visited.

The residents are encouraged to remain independent and active and to participate in life, not just sit quietly in front of a TV. I've seen them playing games, folding laundry, helping to cook dinner, and going for walks around the campus. They aren't treated like patients at all but like human beings going about their daily lives in their homes. The more I see of ElderHealth & Living, the more impressed I become with what it offers our community.

If you need a place that you can count on to treat your loved one as good or better as you, then Elder Health is the place. We visited over four other assisted living/memory care locations in Eugene/Springfield before picking Elderhealth and our initial decision was spot on, Elerhealth is the best! Their staff is consistently loving, attentive, and truly care about the well being of their residents.

I have dropped in at all random times, weekday/weekend and my dad is always happy, ready to go and loaded with all his medication for the day. The staff is very interactive with the residents and my dads condition/health has actually remarkably improved based on the care he has received at Elderhealth.
