Wouldn't let us schedule until they had medical records sent over from previous pediatrician. Got it sent over, and they still knew nothing about my child's medical history. Tried to talk to doctor about concerns at annual, told me it wasn't the appointment for it. Brought child back again and explained to receptionist why I was coming in. Saw PA this time and again they tried to tell me "this wasn't the appointment for what I needed." This office is money hungry and very weird.

They also have a history of calling CPS on families. They did mine, the senior doctor of the ER actually apologized and agreed this pediatrician and they way they handled everything was completely inappropriate. They will also harass you. Take your child somewhere else, I wish had when I got bad vibes in the very beginning.

Love that they really don't care that If something comes up having a family of 5 things happen called them 2 hours prior to tell I had to cancel my appointment. But informed me that I was getting charged for missing appointment for 50 dollars. Are you really that hard up for the money? I understand if I did a no show but called in to let you know and you still charged me? Seems like they don't care much about the community that's supports their business. Just disappointed. When I am there on time and make me wait for 30 min can I charge you a late fee?

An hour agoNEW Would not recommend. They are unorganized. Sent paperwork for my husband to fill out, which he did and sent in. Then at the next appt made a big deal about the paperwork again, to which I said it was taken care of, and after making me feel like a second class citizen, turns out it was taken care of. Then the Doctor got hung up on custody like we're the ones that are unfit. Yes we have custody, and for good reason. No need to make me feel like I'm the bad person in all of this. Very judgemental. Will going elsewhere from now on.

I used to think highly of this place now not so much! I really liked Dr. Tony Percino, but she left, believe her & Dr T. Didn't agree on things & Dr T being in charge no other choice. Dr. T is fine for young kids but he shouldn't be continuing his childish bedside manner with older kids, its ridiculous & stupid. My main problem with them now is my grandson's other doctor office who prescribes his medication for emotional conditions had blood labs ordered.

The results came back showing extremely high cholesterol and I was told to contact his pediatrician office to get him in so he can get treatment for it. This was serious and wee care dragged their feet acting like it was no big deal. Dr. T only said have labs redone with him fasting. I had to remind them that I told them already he did fast for those results.

So now they say we will let Dr. T know & they'll let me know how he wants to proceed. Meanwhile still never got an appointment and a almost 10 days has gone by. Not hearing back I had to call them again. I'm them told how they dont treat that area because lack of experience.& knowledge, so they're going to refer him to a cardiologist. WHAT! why the hell wasn't this done to begin with why let all this time go by especially for a issue so serious that could lead to a child heart attack.

On top of this now have to wait for that referral and the availability of a cardiologist. My grandson still has not been in and is not scheduled until 3/11/22, a month+ since blood work. YES TIME FOR NEW DOCTOR, one that cares about a child.

I would NEVER recommend bringing any child here. I tried sticking with them for over 3 years and got nothing but overlooked. I've had multiple instances where my children were sick and not treated only for symptoms and sickness to get worse and in a case have to be hospitalized due to their mistreatment. The nurses and front staff are very nice but as far as doctors and nurse practitioners I wouldn't recommend.

I really thought I was going to like this place. My little brother went there his whole life. I brought my first child and trusted them with everything. I initially had no issues, until I fell down the stairs while holding my daughter and it ended up with her in the hospital and a CPS case since she was injured. Long story short, Covid-19 hit right as our case was being closed, and a lot of the follow up appointments were cancelled or pushed out.

The case was still closed, considered unfounded. At my daughter's 9 month appointment, I asked the physician to feel my daughter's head and just make extra sure nothing felt off to her, since we didn't get our last follow up with the hospital (we were supposed to have a Telemed chat, but the hospital flaked on us after we called multiple times.) She said that her head felt great and that my daughter was developing perfect, but then went on to say she was going to make the appointment with the hospital anyway and that parents shouldn't be afraid to take their kids in to get medical treatment.

To an extent, I agree, but I think that considering our CPS case was closed and our daughter was seemingly healthy, it was our choice to weigh the risks and benefits of bringing her to a hospital where all the Covid patients are sent. Well, my husband cancelled the appointment despite my concern that this would get out of hand, and lo and behold, we were served with another pending CPS case reporting that we were neglecting our child because we cancelled.

We explained our reasoning to both the CPS and the hospital, but in the end made it to the appointment. No surprise, our child was perfectly fine and we risked contracting a dangerous disease to hear it. The CPS case closed in less than two weeks. But the real kicker is, we just received a notice from Wee Care saying that they can no longer see my daughter because of a "disruption in the physician/patient relationship." Really?

We put our trust into these people and they don't even bother to explain themselves or talk to us about how we should go forward. We didn't call and harass them after any of this. As someone with a degree in Human Development and has worked in social services, I fully understand the responsibility to report potential neglect/abuse cases. I'm going to guess that Wee Care reported us and despite my personal frustration, I understood and didn't harass or call them out on anything.

And yet they sent us a cold letter about terminating our relationship. All because we are new parents, scared in this pandemic, and trying to do what's right for our child. Was there some miscommunication? Yes, of course. But never would I have imagined this organization would cut us off without talking to us first. I am very, very disappointed in what has happened.

While they took good care of my child prior to this incident, I would not recommend going here. I feel like I was the adult in this situation. There's no reason they could not have explained themselves or tried talking to us about issues they had before completely cutting her off.

Can u give negative stars? It's run by a "mean girl crew" that will quickly let you know if your in or out, smug, rude and after several visits I have yet to see the actual Dr. I know pediatricians are hard to come by but your better off with a witch doctor. the attitude here is ridiculous. and they have the nerve to claim to be Christians lol

Terrible to work with. Kids moved to North Carolina. Trying to get records from the doctors up here to the school. NC has a release form they need. So I had NC school fax the form to Wee Care Pediatrics. I call Wee Care and they say they have the forms but I need to go down to sign a release and pay $20 before they send them back. So I interrupt my day, drive down there.

When I get there I'm told: "sorry our policy is we don't sign forms unless they are ours". I explained the ramifications of this. I get the robotic "our policy says etc etc.". Now this is no large corporate entity. Just an apathetic robot sitting at a desk. They have been terrible recently and we are all glad the kids have a reason to seek other healthcare.

Upon moving to the area, we chose wee care pediatrics for our two year old daughter based on positive reviews. They did not reflect our experience at all. Upon first contact I was told to fill out a release for her medical records from the old provider. Wee care did not follow up, with a month going by before I finally inquired on the issue. I was told they never received the records.

They didn't think it was pertinent to inform me of this. Two more weeks went by as I went back and forth with the old doctor--something Wee Care should've done and could've done but was either too lazy, incompetent or oblivious about to do. My daughter's medical records were finally sent on a disc to Wee Care after all of my own legwork, only to sit unreviewed for 3 weeks.

Today I called, asking if I can finally make my daughter a doctors appointment, close to three months after initially contacting them, and I'm told they still haven't reviewed the medical records yet. Here's where it gets mind blowing. Upon asking if I can come by to to get a copy of the records, I'm transferred to a person "Lynette" who says "hello" once on the phone and hangs up on me.

After calling back, I inform her that I'd like to pick up my daughter's medical record. Here's the dialogue of that call: Lynette : why, are you going to take her to another provider? Me: yes. she's overdue on shots and this has taken far too long. L: well your child isn't the only child we see here. Kids are sick and we don't have a dedicated person to review records. M: I understand kids are sick but you've had them for almost 3 weeks now and that's a bit excessive. L: NY state law says we have 30 days M: I understand the law but I was just told it won't be until after the holidays (its December 21). L: well you're free to bring your child somewhere else.

Ok then. I will. Furthermore; when I went to pick the record up, they had me sign a form but didn't ask for ID or proof that I'm actually my daughter's father, which I'm pretty sure is a big fat HIPAA violation. Don't bring your children here. They should change the name to "Wee don't give a shit" pediatrics. They don't seem to have the caring part figured out

I took both my boys to Dr. TARASAKA for 6 years. The place really began to go down hill since Weisner was brought in. I've had issues with Weisner since my first son in 1991 which had to result in a formal complaint that led to her discharge at the office. But to stay committed to Tarasaka because my boys were comfortable with him I was just very careful to never cross paths with that woman and my children again.

This place is far from deserving of any stars with the way they treat you. My husband and a both pay bills at the time of service but still they insist there is always a bill owed. They tried to say we had numerous no shows which results in a charge which is absolutely false. My children are both very healthy and rarely require a doc visit. One case of bronchitis in 6 years between 2 boys should tell you that.

Someone somewhere is making erroneous charges and that is far from Christian. I'm glad to move on to something better because I much prefer writing good reviews for excellent care and my boys and myself deserve way better than what we got here.

My kids have been patients of Wee Care Pediatrics for 16 years. I called last Thursday about 3:30 hoping to get my 15 year old daughter in the next day. She had been dizzy since Tuesday and had a headache on and off, no other symptoms. She had gone to school through the week and came home Thursday asking me to call the doctor. A nurse from the practice called us back and I had her speak directly to my daughter about her symptoms.

The nurse told me to take her straight to the emergency room at University Hospital! I expressed dismay at this, telling her our insurance has a $2900 deductible per person and she claimed their office was not equipped to diagnose her condition, and to not go to an Urgent Care as they would not be either. We spent 4 hours in the ER, and all they did was ask questions and have my daughter do some simple movements, diagnosed her with vertigo and gave a prescription. Nothing that could not have been done in a doctor's office. We will be transferring to another doctor because this lack of care is unacceptable.

This is the best doctor's office I have ever been to. Both of my children are seen here. The receptionists are wonderfully helpful and friendly. The doctor's are great with the kids. They always see your sick kid the same day you call, unless they're closed. Even the after hours number has great people and they always get right back to you. I wouldn't take my kids anywhere else.

Call to make an appointment cause my daughter is sick and they wont schedule a visit for my daughter. Unless it is the same day. Then I try to schedule a check up and see if they will check her over when they do the check up. They refused that too. Im a working single mom I need to make appointments.bad business practice. I'm looking for new doctor office.
