The mission of WV Health Right is to provide comprehensive quality healthcare to impoverished uninsured/underinsured adults regardless of insurance or financial status. WV Health Right is predicated upon four assumptions. These assumptions are basic to the activities, services, and functions of the clinic and its staff (paid and volunteers).
First, each person is viewed as having inherent uniqueness, value, and worth, and is therefore worthy of the respect of others. Third, with these rights, there are corresponding responsibilities.

Services
The clinic provides a range of health education programs aimed at improving the health status of patients. Health education is a key component of WV Health Right's system of care. WV Health Right cares for adult patients who have no health insurance or patients who have Medicaid/Medicare. The clinic has a long-standing commitment to serving the working poor of our communities.
There are a number of ways you can donate to WV Health Right to help us continue to provide vital and lifesaving healthcare to low-income uninsured/underinsured, and underserved adults throughout south-central West Virginia. WV Health Right is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible, to the extent allowable by law.
Good health is not just a matter of biology and medical care but of behavior, environment, and social conditions. In addition to medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and pharmaceutical services provided at the clinic, WV Health Right staff and volunteers also offer health education classes to provide the clinic's patients with self-management techniques that promote personal responsibility for health improvement. Many of WV Health Right's patients suffer from one or more chronic conditions that have a profound impact on their health and quality of life.

I had absolutely fantastic care through their dental clinic. Very nice staff as well. They take womens care very seriously. I thought it strange that a female exam and mammogram was necessary before any dental work could be done but due to my very low income, I paid nothing for these and even got a gas card for returning the hospital bracelet to the clinic. Its something that was needed anyway so no biggie. I highly recommend the clinic for all health needs. So glad this was an option.

I have had the best care from medical staff, and pharmacy staff on helping me to live a more healthy lifestyle. Hi my name is Ron Hizer and I am going to Healthright to have my health care needs taken care of. They discovered a long time ailment, Hepatitis C, that I had contracted long ago and had progressed until I had sorosis of the liver. They told to quit smoking and drinking and come back when I had. In the meantime a new cure for my condition became available.
When they heard I did what they asked and the tests proved it, they got me the cure. I am thankful, not just for curing me but for motivating me to quit smoking. I gained a lot of weight when I quit. So now I go to weight reduction classes where they have taught me a lot about nutrition and help me re-focus each week on my primary goal to lose weight.
Each week I discuss my problems and get ideas from other people in the same situation which also helps to reinforce my resolve. The fact that every time I pass a certain preset target weight loss I earn a monetary reward has somehow transformed me so I can finally lose the weight! So far I've lost 65 lb and intend to lose another 50. I truly believe in this approach to healthcare and it's preemptive improvement of health in the individual as a good idea that will prove to save healthcare money in the long run and improve the quality of life for the participants now.

I began coming to Health Right for the dental program and stayed for the classes that teach a healthy lifestyle--healthy eating and exercise. And I LOVE the incentives! I recently met my 25lb weight loss goal and the reward was great! I love the staff. They are very busy but always make time for the clients they serve. Im glad i found Health Right!

The staff of WV Health Right are amazingly friendly, understanding and go out of their way to ensure you have a good experience with them. The NP I see is amazing, she listens to me and doesn't talk over me or dismiss my concerns. Things that my other doctors have ignored or didn't believe to be worth investigating are now being addressed. I couldn't ask for a better medical team.
