Doctor: Saw Dr. Schirner for an eye problem, not just a regular exam. She was very thorough and explained the issue well. Office staff: Was told at my appointment that my insurance claim would be filed since it was a medical eye problem. Called one month later and asked why the claim had not been filed -- they told me it HAD been filed; they said it was a problem with my insurance company.

Two months later, I had my insurance company contact them directly. No claim had ever been filed. Office staff said they did not have my insurance information. Called office myself two weeks later. they said they now have my insurance information, but they are very busy and will get it filed when they have time. They also said "it's a shame we didn't have your insurance information sooner." YES, it's a shame that I gave it to you two months ago and you completely dropped the ball. I'd give 4 stars for Dr. Schirner, but 0 stars for the office staff -- so 2 stars average. 0 stars for staff because they lied to me about the claim, they are "too busy" to file their routine paperwork, and now they are trying to shift the blame to me. They were great at collecting money at my visit, but now I'm unable to get that money reimbursed. Avoid them if you have insurance.

Best experience ever. The Dr and staff were amazing. I've had some vision complications recently, and they impressed me with their assessment and recommended course of action. I just wish that I had found them sooner. Dr Wegman is excellent and really cares and the whole team goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and solve your problems.

So - so. This is my third year going to them and this will be the last time. Dr. David Teed has always been great. He's always very nice and friendly. If it wasn't for the two of the staff there this place would probably get 5 stars. I never really had an issue up until last year when my glasses/contacts got shipped to the store vs my house - overall no big deal.

It was not until this year that I decide I'm going to find a different optometrist to go to. I have a unique insurance plan (which has not changed in the last three years - so they have had the same information with no changes for the last three years) but suddenly it became an issue this year on what the insurance plan covered etc. I was TOLD by Beatrice (I believe that was her name) that the reason why I didn't have to pay for my eye fitting last year is because I ONLY got a glasses fitting and not a contacts one (apparently to her this was not covered under my insurance) and even after I told her that I received both glasses and contacts last year she still disregarded what I had to say and was persistent in charging me for something that was already covered under my insurance. Needless to say I called my insurance and confirmed that it was covered, meanwhile she laughed with her co worker as I used the incorrect terminology stating that it was an "contacts fitting" vs a "contacts eye exam".

Her co worker talked to my insurance company and in fact it was covered and they took off the fitting charge. Word of advice is to make sure you know what your plan covers before you go otherwise they'll mistakenly charge you for something that should be covered under your insurance. Now i don't think they did this intentionally however they need to listen to their customers and not be rude and laugh at a situation like this while I'm not the phone with my insurance company.

All in all I never received an apology from them two and all I got at the end of the day is "this was a misunderstanding" with a little attitude. The rest of the staff there are great - really nice friendly and kind. *This review was also written 3 weeks after I had my experience there - so this is not a angry review written in the moment. This is just an honest review from my experience there this year.

Friendly, professional, convenient, clean and well run. I felt right at home from the moment I walked in the door. The kind hello and welcome in coming from the women working the front was a great start to my day. From the first eye exam to the final meeting with the optometrist, I felt really comfortable and less like I was being up-sold on different items or "optional" surgeries. I appreciated the help in getting my frames sorted and will certainly be using this location as long as I live in the area.

I have been going to Dr. Kay for about 15 years now. I started going to her because I could not find a doctor that could properly fit my contact lens. My sister-in-law told me to see Dr. Kay and she was sure she could help me. Dr. Kay is the best contact lens doctor in town! She will NOT give up until she has you fitted to your satisfaction. Her staff, especially Susan, have always been very helpful and professional. I have crystal lens I had put in about 9 months ago by Key Whitman and I am back seeing Dr. Kay to help me so I can be functional and read! Thank heavens for her expertise!

Dr Kay is the BEST and she has an excellent team backing her up. These folks have gone out to their way SO many in times in the 15 years I've been going here! Can't say enough good things about these folks! I live over 5 hours away and still come back to see these folks for my contact and glasses needs! Keep up the excellent work!

No stars! Two months ago this office charged me and my insurance company for contacts, first I was sent a trial pair. I had to wait six weeks before wearing the trial because I had eye surgery. Once the surgeon cleared me to wear them, I called to say I'm ready for the 6-month supply only to be told that they reversed the charges and I would owe money.

This is incorrect because my card doesn't have a credit. When I asked to speak to the woman in charge of ordering, I was told she no longer works there. Furthermore, the associate I was speaking with NEVER apologized not took ownership of their mistake. I'm waiting for their business manager to call me : So far, their terrible customer service is enough to keep me far away eventhough I live next door!
