I have been a patient of this practice for years and have had good experiences with Dr. Wyatt and the aesthetician that was at the practice before 2020. I went in for a routine laser treatment and left with significant swelling, burns, and redness that has not improved in days. While the current aesthetician is nice, the treatment itself has been a disaster.

I called the practice after experiencing complications and did not receive a call back. I had to call four hours later to be told the aesthetician had left for the day. I asked for Dr. Wyatt to call me back, which he did. I was told by Dr. Wyatt that the burns, redness, swelling, and discomfort were all normal. I would steer very clear of Pioneer Valley Dermatology for anything related to laser treatments.

There is clearly a lack of understanding on how to manage various skin types. I found a new office just up the street and the medical staff there told me the burns I have are not normal and that no laser treatment should result in the degree of burns I was left with. Do your research and go elsewhere for laser treatments

I've gone to this office for about ten years. Dr. Wyatt has an outstanding bedside manor and is very respectful to his patients. I find his staff to be knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating even if they don't agree with me. In particular the previous esthetician and the new one are fantastic. No pressure, just honest evaluation and great work and lovely bedside manor.

Wish I would have read some of these reviews before going. Scheduled an appointment for two skin concerns/questions that I already had a pretty good idea of what it was and the treatment just by looking into myself. Was hoping for a little more investigation but all I got was rude and short bedside manner for 5 minutes. Knowing it had only taken 5 minutes I asked if she could do a skin check and her response was I don't have time for that. Total waste of time and money.

Dr. Wyatt helped me when I was referred from another clinic. He explained my condition well to me and made the management plan clear. I can't remark about anyone else at the clinic, but Dr. Wyatt is top notch.

This was the actual worst place I have ever been to for any sort of dermatology service. They were able to get me a quick appointment for mole removal, which was a plus. However, my appointment/procedure felt absolutely rushed. The person doing it seemed stressed and rushed, trying to get me in and out. There were multiple doctors coming in and out of the room - at one point I had to ask them to give me a moment because I didn't know what was even going on.

Then suddenly I'm getting ready to get my mole removed - I have anxiety in medical atmospheres, and it wasn't until I started crying in the chair that the nurse and practitioner took my anxiety seriously. They sent me a bill for my procedures, and I have been trying to pay it for 2 days to no avail - either the line is busy, or today there was nobody available to go through the one minute process of paying the bill. Will not be coming here ever again.

I have been a patient of this practice for over 30 years and held Dr. Wyatt and Blair Maerowitz in high regard. But unfortunately, I had a bad experience with a nurse practitioner they had just hired. I called to make an appointment to have a red spot on my leg checked out. Appointments with Blair or Dr. Wyatt were not available for several weeks, so I agreed to be seen by the nurse, and to also have her do a overall skin cancer check while I was there.

During the appointment, she indicated that the spot could be skin cancer and did not offer any alternative possibility. She said we could put on some cream she would prescribe and see if it went away, or conduct a biopsy. I opted for the biopsy, given that it seemed likely it was cancer. A few minutes later, while she was conducting the overall skin cancer check, she asked if I had ever had eczema.

I said, "No, why do you ask?" She just shrugged and didn't say why. She performed the biopsy and when I got home and took the bandage off, I realized she had taken out a deep dime-sized chunk on my leg. It turned out that it was eczema. I now have a scar on my leg that I hope will heal. I would not have agreed to the biopsy if she had not led me to believe it could only be skin cancer and if I knew she was going to take an excessive amount from my leg.

I'd like to think she would not do this if it was on my face; then why take all that from my leg? Any biopsy should only require what is minimally necessary, and practitioners should discuss all options with the patient. I hope they learn from this experience, and apply sound practices to protect patients.

The Nurse Practitioner, Fariha Quereshy, was excellent. I took my teenage daughter for an appointment. She explained our options in a clear manner, answered our questions thoroughly, and was very efficient but also kind. I am glad to have found this clinic and we are happily moving forward with one of the treatments. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient for many years and the care by Dr W and every staff member with whom I have interacted has been consistently excellent. It, simply put, has provided outstanding care and valuable caring interactions.

My family has a significant history of skin cancer. Therefore, for the past twenty years I have had dermatology counseling regarding prevention and removing precancerous skin abnormalities. My appointment with Pioneer Valley was insufficient. I am disappointed in the quality of service provided by the staff. 1. My "skin check" appointment was cancelled/rescheduled four times by this office due Covid, one provider leaving the practice, the two other non-specified times. 2.

Upon arriving to the office I was given a bill from 2016. The office staff were unable to provide any information about the bill at that time. They said there were multiple notes in the system regarding the bill, yet were unable to give me a print out regarding the notes. I paid the bill and received a receipt in the mail two weeks later describing the nature of the bill. 3.

The provider took a quick history, then spent a few minutes looking over my skin for suspicious moles/skin abnormalities. The provider did not look in any of the areas where skin abnormalities hide (ears, scalp, pubic area). When I asked them to look closely at rough spots on my face, the provider burned/froze a spot on my temple without discussion. regarding what they were accomplishing. Unfortunately, there were multiple other places on my forehead and ears that would have benefited from treatment/discussion.

The provider promptly left the room without any further discussion. There was no room for my questions regarding skin care or even post care for the area frozen. I truly hope that other patients have received better care from this practice.

My husband and I had our first visit at this wonderful practice very recently-the staff was friendly, office/exam rooms were spotless the care was unhurried, thorough and with detailed information about everything. We both were encouraged multiple times to call if we had any questions or concerns AND we were seen on time-quite different from the practice we left and which had been treating the both of us for over 70 years combined.

Had issues with billing. Made payments and they billed me again without deducting payments. Seems they have horrible software for billing. Not even easy for the billing office to follow. Told me they "Just need to print out paper work to look at bill". Had to call back after approximately 1/2 hour and they were not able to take care of my concerns at that point. Very frustrating to deal with.

Carol Marnelakes treated me for a small angioma which she treated conservatively the first time telling me that I could come back if it didn't go away. It did not go away. When I came back many months later for re-treatment she was so gracious. She consulted the doctor before re-treating to make sure she had been correct in her diagnoses (she was) and treated an additional spot for good measure since I was there. She was professional and kind.
