Richard J. Smart, O.D. Dr. Rick Smart was raised in Readfield, ME. He graduated from Kents Hill School and the University of Maine in Orono with a B.S. in Zoology. He attended New England College of Optometry in Boston, graduating in March 1983 with a Doctorate of Optometry.

Dr. Meng comes to Maine from the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver where he completed a forensic psychiatry fellowship. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Dr. Meng completed his medical education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
