Gastrointestinal Associates Our dedicated physicians and staff will evaluate and treat your gastrointestinal disorders with sensitivity, compassion, confidentiality and professionalism. We regard the doctor/patient relationship as sacred and believe that it is built upon trust and mutual respect. Our current staff of 18 physicians and 2 Physician Assistants is ethnically and culturally diverse, and includes 7 women. We provide comprehensive office and procedural services to patients throughout Montgomery and Bucks Counties as well as Philadelphia.

The physicians of Gastrointestinal Associates, Inc. are all Board Certified in Gastroenterology. Each physician has at least 5 additional years of training beyond college and medical school. Our physicians are active members of many professional gastroenterology and hepatology societies. Because our physicians are sub-specialists limiting their scope of care to diseases of the digestive system in adults, patients need to remain under the care of a primary physician.Patients under the age of 16 should receive their GI care from a pediatric gastroenterologist.

All of the physicians at Gastrointestinal Associates provide care for patients with a broad array of gastrointestinal illnesses and complaints.
Colonoscopy
Report
Gastrointestinal Associates has developed a program which allows healthy individuals to schedule screening colonoscopy without the need for an office visit before the procedure. If your physician has suggested that you have a colonoscopy you may qualify for this program. Of course, not all patients will be able to safely undergo colonoscopy without a more detailed evaluation of their health history and their risks for the procedure.

These medications are mainly used for gastroesophageal reflux disease/ heartburn, and treatment/prevention of ulcers. Provide bulk to the stool. They can be used to treat both constipation and diarrhea and may be helpful in many gastrointestinal problems. A current and easy-to-read resource. This is a good overview of IBD with chapters on pregnancy, alternative medicine, and IBD in children and adolescents.
