Kernodle Clinic first opened its doors in 1949 when three graduates of Duke University saw their vision of a single clinical operation become a reality. Dr. Harold B. Kernodle Sr., his brother Dr. Charles E. Kernodle, Jr., both surgeons, and their cousin Dr. John Robert Kernodle, an obstetrician gynecologist, joined their practices to form Kernodle Clinic.

Kernodle Clinic was heralded as one of the most modern and best-equipped facilities of its kind in the south. Today, Kernodle Clinic maintains that reputation for innovation and quality medical care.

Kernodle Clinic began its involvement in clinical research in December of 2000 so that our physicians had access to the most current technology and medical advancements and to allow our patients access to the latest drug treatments.

Payment is expected at the time of service. Patients with insurance coverage through Medicare, Medicaid, or a Private Insurance policy, will be expected to pay any co-payments, coinsurance and/or deductibles. As a courtesy to you, Kernodle Clinic agrees to file claims directly with your Primary and Secondary insurance plans.

Kernodle Clinic is considered "in-network" for many of the insurance plans offered for the Alamance County region. However, there are some plans that do not include Kernodle Clinic "in-network". As an additional precaution, please check with your insurance plan to see if your Kernodle Clinic physician is considered "in-network".
