Our practice does accept new patients and self-referrals although the majority of our clients have been referred to us by other doctors in the area. We believe that trust between the physician and patient is something that is earned over time, and that the patient should have an active role in decisions about their health. We strive to maintain that trust with a thoughtful approach to the practice of medicine that utilizes the latest, most advanced ophthalmic technology.

The doctors and staff of Medical & Surgical Eye Specialists are happy to announce that Dr. Kassandra Martin has joined our practice. She is currently accepting new patients. Cosmetic contact lenses might seem like the perfect way to enhance your Halloween costume this year, but the American Academy of Ophthalmology is warning consumers that the nonprescription lenses could do serious damage to your eyes. Although selling such lenses without a prescription is actually illegal, cosmetic lenses can still be found in stores and online.

M. Lourdes Garcia, MD, PhD, is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and she specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of ocular disorders. Dr Garcia has more than 20 years experience in Ophthalmology, is trained in the most advanced cataract surgical techniques, including premium intraocular implants and newer, safer procedures for glaucoma control.
