Since retiring from the Navy, I have provided comprehensive eye care and cataract surgery in a private practice setting and am excited to continue my career with The Eye Professionals. My Naval service started as a medical intern and resident in Ophthalmology at the Naval Hospital San Diego after graduating from New York University Medical School. My residency in Ophthalmology trained me to be an ophthalmologist as well as a cataract surgeon.

Joseph Kamerling, M.D

Dr. Kamerling is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Kamerling began his career by attending the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Dr. Baker has worked in private practice for over 35 years before joining The Eye Professionals team. He worked as a staff doctor at the non-profit South Jersey Eye Center for more than 10 years, including 2 as its Executive Director.
