We are a multispecialty group serving the greater Iredell County region of North Carolina and the surrounding communities. Our internal medicine physicians provide primary care for adults. Our specialty care services include interventional pain management, physical medicine and rehabilitation and rheumatology.

Ashley is a board certified physician assistant who is a recent graduate of the Gardner-Webb University PA program with an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University. She is a Statesville native and is the daughter of our very own Dr. Wodecki and Dr. Szostak-Wodecki and will be specializing in Rheumatology alongside her father.

Internal Medicine

Our internal medicine physicians are the first stop for any non-emergency symptoms of general illness that might develop, such as a headache, back or abdomen pain, symptoms of the flu or for flare-ups of ongoing conditions like irritable bowel syndrome or asthma. We can either diagnose and treat the problem or refer you to a specialist with sophisticated diagnostic tools to further evaluate and treat the problem.

Our physicians specialize in minimally invasive procedures utilizing fluoroscopic imaging and ultrasound guidance. This includes x-ray services, epidural injections, joint and trigger injections, selective nerve root blocks, Hako Med pain blocking services, peripheral nerve blocks, peripheral nerve stimulation, NCS and EMG, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, Vertiflex Superion implant, and kyphoplasty. By offering pain management services in the office, there is a significant cost saving to the patient.

Our physiatrists treat patients of all ages for conditions ranging from the developmental disabilities of childhood to the acute injuries of adulthood and finally to the chronic diseases associated with aging. A major component of physiatry is that the care focuses on creating a comprehensive program for patients after injury or disease - without surgery.

At Carolina Specialty Care, PA, our board certified physicians will help you receive an accurate diagnosis as well as a personalized plan for your treatment. We specialize in the treatment of general rheumatology, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, other connective tissue disorders, osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
