First Visit

Our surgical practice welcomes all new patients as well as patients that have been referred to us. Upon your first visit, you will meet with either Dr. J. Travis Thompson or Dr. Stephen Martin. They will thoroughly review your diagnosis and explain in detail all of your treatment options with you, as well as walk you through what to expect during the day of your surgery, how to plan for your surgery as well as post-operative care.

Dental implants are titanium posts that are surgically affixed to the jawbone. The benefit of implants is that they will not come loose since they are a permanent fixture in the mouth, unlike dentures or fake teeth that can come loose. Dental implants however need to be supported by healthy gum tissue and bone for them to be effective.
