Founded in 1992 by the late Linnea Hunter, we opened our first center with only 13 employees. Today, we are 342 strong and we provide services at four health centers in Mendocino and Lake Counties. Primary Care
Our primary care services provide continuous healthcare for entire families through preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute condition treatment. Medication Assisted Treatment
Our Medication Assisted Treatment program combines medical care, behavioral health services, and case management to treat substance use disorders. Using FDA-approved medications alongside counseling and therapy, we help patients overcome opioid and other substance dependencies. The program includes group sessions, individual monitoring, and comprehensive support services while maintaining close collaboration between primary care providers and behavioral health specialists.
Women's Health
Care for Her provides comprehensive women's health services including prenatal care, labor and delivery, menopause management, and family planning. Our team of OB/GYNs, certified nurse midwives, and women's health nurse practitioners deliver personalized care throughout all life stages. We specialize in low-intervention births supported by midwifery care while offering advanced treatments for gynecological conditions and preventive screenings.

Had three assistants reporting the condition of each tooth, have never had such a thorough inspection, am crippled with MS, they treated me with courtesy~ Dr. Douglas S. Lewis, DDS is a magician~ never have I had such a competent dentist~

Today is January the 5th I called to set up a physical for my son the wait time on the phone was 11 minutes once I was answered the reception was rude and she was not able to help me because there's only two pediatricians on staff in that building. But she can transfer me over to a different pediatric building. The reception I was rude also and condescending. They had no physical appointments available for a month. This clinic is understaffed and need customer care training.

Don't bother calling them you won't get through! All you get is a recording that says how important your call is and to please stay on hold. Every day for weeks and still no human to talk to

Sarah Avlod, at the Dora street location can not be bothered to refill a script for depression. I was told by my pharmacy that the refill was denied because the dr. wanted to see me first! If I needed to be seen maybe herself or the office could have contacted me to set up an appointment? No! These doctors, do not understand or care enough to understand what happens to people when they are suddenly taken off medication cause your facility needs to make a buck off my insurance! Super displeased with this doctor and lack of consideration on their part!

Dr. Shawn Mucho is incredibly condescending and his assistants were rude. While working on my younger brothers teeth they repeatedly kept saying "I just want to get this over with" and other unprofessional remarks. If you're considering going here I advise against it. I wasn't surprised to see that other people had similar experiences. I have no clue how these kinds of people are even able to get this far in their profession.
