Your Medical Home
Report
Choosing a Pediatric Medical Home is one of the most important decisions you can make when deciding to start or expand your family. You want someone who is caring, knowledgeable, and accessible; a physician or certified pediatric nurse practitioner willing to take the time to go over all of your options and treat your child as a person, not just a patient.
After Hours Care
Report
For URGENT after-hours calls, please call our main number (801-523-3030) and follow the voice attendant prompts. We want to offer your child the best medical care possible and therefore it is not our policy to prescribe antibiotics without an office visit. Again, please restrict these calls to URGENT medical matters only!
Insurance
Report
Many of the services provided in our office are covered and paid for by your insurance company. As a courtesy to our patients we will send claims to your in-network insurer for processing. All services are rendered to our patients -- not their insurance companies -- therefore all charges are the financial responsibility of the insured, not the insurance company regardless of your insurance coverage.
Payment & Credit Card Policies
Report
For any family where parents are separated or divorced, the parent authorizing treatment and bringing the child into our office to be seen is responsible to us for payment and this payment is due when services are rendered as per our payment policies. In the case that only a copay is due at the time of service, any charges deemed by your insurance as patient responsibility are due to ABC Pediatrics PC by the parent who authorized the treatment and attended the office visit. If a divorce decree requires both parents to split any medical charges incurred, it is the authorizing parent's responsibility to collect reimbursement from the other parent.
Billing Questions
Report
Please be aware, per your signed financial agreement, all outstanding balances are due upon receipt. There may be times when a child needs a service that is not considered preventive on the same day as a well-child visit. If a child is not well or a problem is found or needs to be addressed during the checkup, we may need to provide an additional office visit service (called a sick visit) to care for the child. This is a different service and is billed to your health plan in addition to the preventive services provided on that day.
