Dr. Stewart grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana and graduated high school from Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, Louisiana where she was awarded class valedictorian her senior year. She attended Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans and then went on to earn her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine.
