Dr. David Puett was raised in Tennessee and graduated from Dartmouth College before earning his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. After completing an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, he finished a fellowship in rheumatology back at Vanderbilt under the guidance of Dr. Pincus - whom many credit with shedding light on the true toll autoimmune disease takes on patients and on society as a whole - and Dr. Sergent - the president of the American College of Rheumatology at the time, and his mentor in clinical care.
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Report
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory joint disease which affects 1% of the population. That means there are at least 3 million people in the United States who have rheumatoid arthritis.
