Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy detects and removes pre-cancerous polyps, preventing colon cancer. Our experts perform over 50,000 annually using advanced techniques for patient comfort. This outpatient procedure examines the entire colon, allowing immediate polyp removal and biopsy collection. Recommended for adults 45+ or those with family history, it's the gold standard for colorectal cancer prevention.
Endoscopy
Endoscopy examines the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum to diagnose conditions like GERD, ulcers, and Barrett's esophagus. A flexible tube with imaging technology provides real-time visualization, enabling biopsies and treatments during the procedure. It's ideal for evaluating symptoms such as abdominal pain, bleeding, or difficulty swallowing.
Infusion Therapy
Our infusion center treats autoimmune disorders like Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis with biologic medications. Trained nurses administer therapies such as Remicade and Entyvio in a comfortable setting. Treatments include pre-certification support, insurance coordination, and amenities like WiFi and refreshments for patient convenience.
Imaging
Advanced imaging services include MRI, CT scans, and virtual colonoscopy for diagnosing complex GI disorders. Our 3.0T MRI scanner provides detailed images of abdominal organs, while virtual colonoscopy offers an alternative for high-risk patients. All studies are interpreted by board-certified radiologists specializing in gastrointestinal conditions.
Pathology
Fellowship-trained pathologists analyze GI tissue samples with 24-48 hour turnaround times. Specialized expertise in gastrointestinal diseases ensures accurate diagnoses for conditions like celiac disease and liver disorders. Results guide personalized treatment plans and coordinate with physicians for comprehensive care.

No respect for your time. I was the first appointment for the day and the doctor arrived 30 minutes late. Never apologized. The receptionist, nurse and doctor do not read their computer screens. They ask information already presented to them and the questions they should ask they neglect. Receptionist was condescending as I walked out.

My husband was a patient of Borland and Groover oh, he was a post surgical patient. We called for several days as he was having severe digestive pains, diarrhea, nausea, and lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks. I could not get him in to see any doctor as an emergent patient. They were eight days out on their schedule. That is totally unacceptable and we will never be back he has been very sick we have to go to the emergency room now

I went there to be treated for crohn's for 20 years with no results just for them to tell me that I might just have to treat it by diet. Now what the heck dose that mean? Not to mention their billing department that harassing you for a bill that is accrued for ineffective treatment. In my mind and the minds of so many others, that's paying for services not complete. If you get zero results for 20 years and almost die within those 20 years.well that will tell anyone their in it for the money, NOT to find a cure. And for anyone to say they have some good doctors are kind hearted and sadly mistaken. That doctor can leave. But they don't. And that makes them part of the problem.

Be ready to receive phone call after phone call to reschedule. Gave up after my original appointment was reschedule 4 times, pushed 6 months out from the original date, then get another call asking to reschedule pushing things out another 2 months. That's when I gave up. Seriously 8 months out from the original scheduled appointment date and no guarantee that I wouldn't be asked to reschedule again. gross. Tried multiple doctors affiliated to Borland Groover (all at the Southside location) over the years.
They seem to attract the same kind of "talent". They don't care about you as a person. Just the money they can take from you and bill to your insurance. Sucks they have such a pull in Jacksonville and connection with Baptist hospital.

You like waiting for an appointment then this is the place for you. Want to see more of wonderful colon type reviews of this place, head on over to Yelp because that many one star reviews can't be wrong. Least customer centric doctors office I have ever seen in my life. Totally take their patients for granted because when they loose one there's always another ignorant person willing to wait months for an appointment and then wait hours in a waiting room to be seen.
But oh god forbid your 10minutes late they will cancel your appointment but the doctors can inconvenience patients all day long. Why is it doctors can charge a fee for patients lateness but patients can't charge doctors for their inconsiderate lateness. I guarantee they would never sign such a form but require patients to do so. What's wrong with this picture. Be someone special in Jacksonville and you will be seen on time and out the door before the rest of us nobody's are seen. Don't call Ken, he's retired now and he always gets seen fast as lightning here. They wouldn't want that bad publicity.

You always hope you won't have to go to Borland Groover but when u gotta go, u gotta go! Hands down Simply the best. Today Christina from imaging rang to get my ct scan booked. She went above & beyond *infinity! She took the time to ring around local places for me as I'm not up to driving much & sorted out all the insurance stuff. She also took the time to check if I could drink water etc etc. All of this was far more than she had to do, but she did it with no hesitation. When u feel sick, it's wonderful to have people like her to make sure u r taken care of. I go to Fleming Island & Dr PA Rachael is brilliant, as is Megan & all the team. Thank you Borland Groover :

Currently in the waiting room and have been waiting almost 2 hours for colonoscopy. No this is not an exaggeration. Lady at the front is extremely rude and not accommodating and has a horrible look on her face. We simply went up to ask for a time frame of how much longer and she rolled her eyes and started complaining to her coworker next to her. We were extremely nice to them and it's just very rude and catty. The beaches clinic staff is so nice and accommodating and sweet then we come here and wow a difference.
