In 1967, Dr. Harold Larimore, a prominent Springfield optometrist, merged solo practices with Dr. Richard Baker and Dr. Donald Pettigrew to form a dynamic team in eye care. Sunshine Eye Clinic was born. Those early years began in a renovated service station on South Street near downtown Springfield, but it was not the building that was important.
